Unknown mix of Magnesium types
Magnesium glycinate is my favorite form due to its high bioavailability and ease on the stomach (as opposed to magnesium citrate that initiates a nice colon cleanse). This does also contain magnesium oxide, which is at the low end of the absorption spectrum. Since the amount of each is not specified, I can’t determine if this is a good mix or not. If it’s mostly Glycinate, then it could be a reasonable value. If it’s mostly Oxide, the price is high. I do note that Magnesium Oxide is listed first in the product name and the ingredients list.

Good formulation of magnesium
As with all supplements, you have to decide whether the ingredients are right for you. I take magnesium regularly, so I decided to give this formulation a try.The bottle comes fully sealed, inside and out. Good quality packaging. The pills (gel caps) are regular size and are easy to swallow. Some of the pills might have broken inside the bottle, because all of them were coated in the white powder, so I have to make sure I don’t get it on myself.The effects are hard to estimate. Overall, I like magnesium for many benefits it provides to the body, but hte results are highly individual.This bottle is pricier than usual ($23 at the time of order for a month’s supply), but there is more magnesium – 100% of RDV – in each dose, so you are getting about the same value.

US made, third party tested, but unknown proportions of glycinate vs oxide
I take magnesium regularly because I am an athlete living in hot Florida and sweat a lot and with that minerals get depleted from my body. If I don’t supplement, I start feeling cramps, joint aches, etc. What I like about this magnesium is that it is US made and third party tested. I always like to support US made companies. The capsules are not too difficult to swallow, and should be taken with meals, according to the directions. When I use magnesium gummies, I take them any time, but with these make sure you take them with meals. What I don’t like about this supplement is that it doesn’t specify how much glycinate and oxide it contains. All together, 420 mg, but the proportions are not stated. Glycinate is easier to digest, and has more bioavailability compared to the oxide, and we don’t really know how much of what we are getting. Besides that, it does help me to sleep better and not to ache in my muscles at night (from all the training I do).

This is a review for the PureBotan Magnesium supplement.This comes in a plastic bottle and contains 60 capsules. You take two capsules a day, so this is a month’s supply.These capsules use multiple forms of magnesium and you’re supposed to take two of them a day WITH MEALS! I’m stressing that “with meals” part as some supplements want you to take them on an empty stomach and some, like these, you need to take with meals. Trust me, you don’t want to raw dog some supplements unless you want stomach issues afterwards. Definitely read instructions.I take magnesium daily to help with digestion, stress levels, and muscle aches. Not sure it helps with stress or sleep for me, but it does help massively with muscle aches! I know it’s working when I don’t take it for a couple of months and the aches come back.I waited to finish the entire bottle before reviewing. These seem to get the job done. And the price isn’t terrible comparatively.Worth a shot if you suffer from aches!
