Interesting Formula, But I Want More Transparency
I was very curious about this “Lymphatic Drainage Complex” because it contains quite a lineup of vitamins, minerals, herbs, and plant extracts. After looking into both the ingredients and the company, however, I’m somewhere in the middle on this one.First, TTTea appears to be a very new supplement brand, and that makes transparency particularly important to me. The bottle displays GMP Certified and Third-Party Verification badges, which certainly sound reassuring, but I would really like to see the actual third-party laboratory identified and a batch-specific COA readily available to consumers. I wasn’t able to find that level of verification.The formula itself is interesting. Two capsules provide vitamin C, D3, zinc picolinate, selenium, 300 mg echinacea, 200 mg dandelion leaf, 200 mg burdock root, 100 mg standardized bromelain, and 80 mg standardized European elderberry extract. There is also a 150 mg proprietary herbal blend containing elderberry, red clover, hydroxytyrosol, nettle, chickweed, rose fruit, hesperidin, lemon, rutin, turmeric, resveratrol, and parsley.Some of those ingredients have legitimate reasons for being interesting. Dandelion is traditionally used to promote urination and may help with temporary fluid balance, while bromelain has been studied for inflammation and swelling. Echinacea and elderberry are more commonly associated with immune support. However, helping with fluid balance or inflammation isn’t necessarily the same thing as scientifically demonstrating “lymphatic drainage,” so I think that claim deserves some healthy skepticism.I also don’t love that the last 12 ingredients are crammed into a single 150 mg proprietary blend. We have no idea how much of each one we’re actually getting, and with that many ingredients sharing only 150 mg, I’d much rather see every amount disclosed individually.There are also ingredients here that aren’t appropriate for everyone and can potentially interact with medications, including dandelion and some of the botanicals, so this isn’t something I’d automatically assume is harmless simply because it’s herbal.On the positive side, my bottle arrived with both the outer safety seal and inner foil seal intact, and the bottom is clearly marked with a lot number, manufacture date, and expiration date. The capsules themselves are a reasonable size.One practical complaint: bring your readers! 😂 The print on this bottle is INCREDIBLY tiny. There is a ton of information squeezed onto the label, but actually reading it requires fantastic eyesight or a pair of reading glasses nearby.Mine also took a surprisingly long time to arrive, so if you’re ordering this because you want it quickly, I’d keep that possibility in mind. Obviously shipping experiences can vary.Overall, I think there are some worthwhile ingredients here, but I’d be much more impressed by greater company transparency, accessible independent test results, individual amounts for every ingredient, and somewhat more restrained claims about “lymphatic drainage.” For a supplement I’m putting into my body, those details matter to me.
