Quality choice if you are seeking to supplement flavonoids
Flavonoids are pigments that give both fruits and vegetables their bright colors. Quercetin is a plant pigment found mostly in mostly in onions, grapes, berries, cherries, broccoli, and citrus fruits. Much research has shown that quercetin has strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, Asa result, it might help to strengthen the immune system, reduce swelling while helping to prevent heart disease and cancer.Will you get a similar effect from taking quercetin supplements rather than consuming a lot of fruits and vegetables? There isn’t much research to support the effectiveness of supplements yet. They might or might not help.Still, these capsules made by Life Seasons Essentials are clearly well made and the 500-mg capsules (recommended dose is 2 capsules each day) provide the amount of quercetin that has shown to be effective (at least from eating plants). There is no downside and potentially great benefits from using this supplement.

Top quality but above average cost.
Supplements are regulated like foods by the FDA, so restrictions are much looser than for drugs. In addition, claims regarding efficacy aren’t often backed by science, so I don’t review supplements based on those claims. There are simply too many personal variables to definitively determine how a supplement will affect an individual. So instead I rate them based on ingredients, 3rd party testing, the company’s reputation, and dosage cost.I checked each of the ingredients on the Environmental Working Group website. They use science-based reviews of products and ingredients to determine risks for Cancer, Allergies & Immunotoxicity, Developmental and Reproductive Toxicity, and Use Restrictions. Each ingredient is given a hazard rating from 1 (least) to 10 (worst). The best products won’t contain any non-organic ingredients with scores above 2.Ingredients (hazard rating):Quercetin (1)Hypromellose (1) – the capsuleMicrocrystalline cellulose (2) – anti-caking agentSilica (1) – anti-clumping agentRice Bran (1) – fillerEverything rates as good, so there are no concerns about what you’re consuming.LifeSeasons Quercetin is made in the US with globally sourced ingredients. No difference in symptoms
I really did not notice a difference in my allergies or sinus issues after taking these for several days. They don’t have a bad smell or taste. They come in capsules that are bigger than average, but easy enough to swallow.

As an active senior, I’m fully invested in my health from all angles. Diet, exercise, rest and when it doesn’t go the way I planned, a supplement to boost my immune system and anti-oxidants to keep me at my optimum health. I take other supplements as well and try not to over-do it.This Quercetin supplement by Life Seasons Essentials offer a healthy dose of flavonoids which boost my immune system and anti-oxidants which slow the inevitable aging process.I have issues with my sinuses from time to time and allergies affect me seasonally as well. I’m hopeful that this supplement will aid in lessening or curing those ailments and prevent them from recurring.While the suggested dose is two capsules per day, I take just one per day as I feel I still receive benefits from it and the bottle lasts me longer. I do take other supplements as well, so I feel that I got that covered. It’s nice if you can rotate with different varieties of immune support supplements, which is what I try to do.Highly recommended5 STARS!

Odd clumping of powder and not sure the higher dose made any difference
I’ve tried several different brands of quercetin. Some are just quercetin, others add bromelain or it is in combination with a slew of other ingredients (depending on what symptom the manufacturer is targeting, such as inflammation or immune system support). This supplement from Life Seasons is similar to other quercetin only supplements, but it is about double the dose of most others at 1000 mg. Even though this is about twice what the others have, I cannot say that I’ve notice any difference over the usual 500 mg offerings that I have tried, and not quite as good as those that contain bromelain.The pills come in a square plastic bottle with rounded edges and a plastic screw on cap. The pills themselves are cellulose capsules filled with a yellow powder and are of an average size. The powder is clumpy, which is unlike any other quercetin supplement that I have tried and I am not sure this is a good thing. It seems that it is about as finely ground, but it clumps into little balls (see photo). Maybe there is something in the processing that causes this and maybe this has something to do with why, at least from any perceived benefit quercetin may provide, does not seem any better than those with have the dose.The price isn’t bad on this supplement and it is labeled as being 1000 mg (twice the typical quercetin supplement), but I am not sure that I can say that they are really any better than the competition. I wouldn’t call them bad, but I suspect them because of the clumping that no other brand I have tried does. It is advertised as having no milk, eggs, fish, crustacean, shellfish, tree nuts, wheat, peanuts, soy, added colors, added flavors, preservatives, or magnesium stearate, but I don’t see anything about being manufactured in a GMP certified facility, third party testing, non-GMO, etc. It is, however, made in the USA using globally sourced ingredients. Overall, I’m not sure I’m sold on this one and will be returning to one of the previous brands I have tried.

I’ve heard about Quercetin many times over the past 40+ years, during which time I have been an active vitamin and supplement consumer. It may (in fact) be closer to 50 years.I never really bothered to find out about it. I’m not sure why.Having read a bit about it now, I was prompted to order this bottle of Quercetin. It seemed to have my name on it. After all, I’ve suffered from insane allergies and sinusitis for my whole life. I’m allergic to every seasonal allergy. 12 months a year, it’s allergy season.So here is my new approach, Quercetin. It offers hope where others (loratadine, cetirizine, et al) have failed. My only issue is price. This bottle of Quercetin is only a one month supply (dosage is 2 caps per day, this is a 60 cap bottle). Pricey for a single supplement, considering the one month supply.Ya gotta have hope, right? Here’s hoping that Quercetin is the ticket.

Quercetin for antioxidant and immune support
I have been taking Quercetin for years as it is known to be a powerful antioxidant that can help support the immune system.Life Seasons Essentials Quercetin comes in a capsule format and each bottle has 60 capsules. You take two per day so it is a 30 day supply. Some of the other Quercetin products I have taken in the past have been in the 500-800 mg range. This product is a higher dosage at 1,000 mg. You also take two capsules per day. There is no daily value established for Quercetin so I don’t know if more is better. The capsule format is easier to swallow than some tablets and they don’t have any aftertaste.It is also hard to tell if an immune product is working or not. I take it to support my immune system on an ongoing basis.Overall this is a good quality product made in the USA with globally sourced ingredients. The price point is on the higher end, but you do get 1,000 mg per serving.
