Okay I, like a lot of people discovered niacin watching some of those crazy food documentaries you can find on netflix. I watched “food matters” and there was a lot of talk about niacin. So I looked around and bought this to try out. Now i did a lot if research first and I have to comment on all the negative reviews on this product. most people thought they were having an allergic and they broke out in a red rash or “flush” that felt like pins and needles. (1) a flush is normal with high niacin doses and for some the desired effect. (2) you are not allergic to niacin you simply did not understand what was happening and it is not fair to rate this product with one star because you failed to do your homework. (3)I read a review or 2 that stated they were upset because they got no flush. before I took any niacin I actually read an entire book on… you guessed it, “niacin”. It was called “the truth about niacin” which i also got on amazon. After reading it I learned that the less flush you get the more niacin you need. So If you are taking 3000 mg and get nothing than you should prob continue to take it and consider uping the dose. granted i’m no doctor and I have absolutely zero creditably in the medical field and this statement is based solely on the fact, I read a lot and research what ever i’m doing which in this case is taking niacin daily.On to my experience. the first time I took the niacin it was slightly uncomfortable but I was ready for the reaction and I just sat it out. It lasted about 20 minutes then it was gone. After a week the flush was greatly reduced and actually became very pleasant. I also noticed I was in a much better mood, more carefree and had way more energy. After 2 weeks the flush was gone and I had to stop taking it for 3-4 days to get the minimal flush back which for me is the best part. I’m not sure if anyone else experienced this but during my reduced flush all my muscles (I work out)became very sensitive to being massaged. I don’t mean this in a weird way. I mean it literally. During my flush my wife would massage my arms legs back chest and it was incredibly relaxing. granted i can only talk my wife into the massage once in a while. I also noticed that while taking this cold symptoms were all most non existent. I have younger kids who bring home every cold known to man and a few times last year everyone in my house was sick and congested except for me. I had only minor symptoms compared to everyone else. I know it could be coincidence but I went a step further and tested the theory. the next time I got sick I stopped taking niacin and within a day I became congested and nasty. So I started taking the niacin again and poof symptoms gone it was like taking dayquil for your symptoms. When my wife saw this she began taking niacin as well. I would love to give it to my kids but they are to young and would not understand or like the flush at all.. So that’s my story and im sticking to it.

Please Watch Your Dosage!
I am not badmouthing this product. But you need to know that you should go slowly and work up to the right dosage. I’m sure the product itself is good. I’m still alive and feel fine. But here is what happened to me.The warning on the label and the comments from the reviewers discuss the flush and the tingling or itchy feelings. Some like the feeling but others find it unpleasant. I just want to warn others about my experience. “Unpleasant” is an understatement in my experience and I know everyone is different but I want to reassure or caution others. One capsule is 500 mg and the daily recommended dosage is only around 10-20 mg! I only took one and I am glad my heart is strong and that I’m here to tell you that my heart rate went up to 155 and my top number blood pressure went up to 167!! I can’t remember the bottom number. I was never so scared in my life! It was the most horrible experience. I thought I was going to die. The flush feeling was like I was burning up. I was bright red and my skin was very hot. The heart pounding felt like I was going to explode. I was alone and called 911. I called my husband and he called a neighbor to help. I called another neighbor to take my dog. I’m so grateful they were there because my husband was about an hour away. They kept me calm and one texted my husband with my status. The measurements above came from the paramedics. They carted me off to the emergency room because my heart rate was still high. By the time I got there, I was almost back to normal. They released me almost immediately. Just so you know that it isn’t only an isolated experience, the emergency room doctor and the paramedic told me that this was VERY common. In fact, the doctor said that I was his 2nd one that morning. The other guy had taken 8!!!! As the doc said, “Imagine how uncomfortable he is compared to you!” That word is a HUGE understatement!

I HATE doctors and hospitals
Ive had high cholesterol for several months now., as well as plantar fasciitis….its just a byproduct of working more…being on my feet, A LOT…being busier, and not taking time out to take care of a 46 year old body, the way it should be maintained. Add to that, I HATE doctors and hospitals…hence, my need to look at options that will keep me from frequent visits to my primary care and/or hospital. Enter, LE niacin pills.I did run this by my doc’, who in turn asked where I would buy them from. So, I showed him…he researched this particular product, before giving my permission. He suggested the 500 mg, for a few mths, at which he would check my liver ‘numbers’.Ive been taking it a few weeks now, and lemme tell you something. The pain in my right foot from the plantar fasciitis, is COMPLETELY gone. And there was also a weird numbness I was feeling in my both arms that started in both forearms and stretched down to my pinkie finger and my ring finger, on each limb (probably a relatively mild case of carpal tunnel syndrome) . And now, all of that numbness is virtually gone.basically, the little aches and pains that are just apparent enuf to annoy the hell out of you, on a daily basis, are pretty much a memory. So, I have no complaints about this product. All I asked from the beginning, was for it, to do, what I wanted it to do. And it has.think about it..this pill has basically saved me thousands of bucks, of what a lot of folks would have surgery for.Im not sure what going to the gym, in concert with what this stuff does for you, but I gotta think, getting the blood pumping and eating well, would probably help this pill, do what it does, even more, regarding your cardiovascular system, anyway.A neighbor/friend told me there is such a thing as a topical niacin solution, that helps nourish your face…as well as firming it up, so to speak. I looked it up, and there are several brands. That will be my next pit stop with niacin..again. it will save me a lot of money that a lot of people would spend on botox and face lifts. And I dont need a face lift. But I do love the idea of having a fresher looking face that has been enhanced by a niacin product that cleared up age lines and bags under my eyes.Im what you call, “a very happy customer”.

Whew… the flush! If you are unprepared for the flush, read up about it FIRST or it will be quite disconcerting. The first time I took this product, I forgot completely that I added it to my morning vitamin mix and then I skipped a few days because I forgot. So Monday morning, I am at work and I take my vitamins with my morning tea, and all of a sudden I start feeling WEIRD… VERY weird. It starts with prickling in your nostrils, that spreads to your cheeks, then ears, which get very hot, then down the neck through your torso and out to your fingers and toes. It is like standing inside the sun… OMG. So I am looking at my secretary who tells me I look a little odd, like I am “pink”. Heat is rolling off me in waves I cannot believe she can’t feel it from 10 feet away. I AM the sun… My socks are clearly melting around my feet. I contemplate whether I should be worried as this is really very strange, then I start to process the sensations, and consider whether I am having a heart attack … probably not, pulse is fine, or a stroke… probably not, as I am cogent, just HOT. I wrack my brain thinking I am having an allergic reaction but I haven’t eaten anything yet today. So then I remember… OH… The Niacin. I read the reviews, I remembered the “flush”. Well, that term does not accurately describe this sensation. It subsides after about 25-30 minutes but lessened some after 15 or so. Whew. That was my fault. So after thinking about it, that wasn’t so bad, just different. You can feel that niacin working, coursing through your body. Oh, don’t forget the distinctly metallic taste that floods your mouth while this is happening. Now, after a couple of weeks, it seems the flush is diminishing a little but I have decided that I kind of like it. So just be prepared when you try it for the first time if you are not accustomed to this sensation. The product itself is great, I would purchase again.

Real stuff that works well
Took a capsule for the first time this morning. Within 5 min, i had a stomach pain. It went away. then at 10 min my skin started to tingle then rapidly after that my whole body was on FIRE. It went on for a good hour. Then the itch came and that was the worst.But it supposed to get better as you keep using it. I am taking it to live a longer healthier life. Starting today i’m taking Niacin with TMG and Resveratrol. Niacin because i can’t afford NMN/NR. Niacin seem to be a decent substitute albeit less effective.Life Extention because so far they seem to be a reliable company with product that are good purity. There are a lot of bad actors out in the suplement market.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:HOLY FLUSH! This product is awesome! I’ve never tried this high of a dose before. The negative comments are hilarious. If you read the bottle and understand how niacin works, then you won’t be surprised at effects you feel from it. Kicked in after about 25-30 minutes, my ears were on fire and I got red splotches all over my body (not just my trunk and face) Prickly, itchy, hot goodness! It’s uncomfortable but I look forward to oddly enough. You know it’s working! I prefer to take at night because it makes me sleep like a baby once the symptoms die down. Will buy again.

This is really quality niacin
This is the real deal. I have to take an aspirin 30 minutes before so I don’t get that awful flush and red skin. I can definitely say that this works. Only time will tell if it raises my NAD+ but it is definitely quality niacin.

Gave me a bad reaction of burning, itching & red skin head to toe.
I had never used Niacin before but wanted to try it to help manage my cholesterol & other health reasons. I took one capsule as directed on the label and within 10 minutes had a very bad reaction. My skin started burning, then itching & turning red head to toe. It was horrible. I had to take an antihistamine and take a shower to try to calm it down. It took hours to calm down & then I woke up in the night with severe itchy skin. I had read up on it that it could cause flushing that would go away but I didn’t expect such a horrible painful reaction. I’ll never take it again. I don’t think it was the brand but I’m not sure. It might be that my system doesn’t like taking Niacin.
