    WELL TOLERATED COQ10, BUT VERY EXPENSIVE

    I’ve used several Life Extension products over the past several months and overall have been very pleased with them. This one is no different in terms of my experience with the product itself.INGREDIENTS/FORMULATION:* Each vegetarian capsule provides 100 mg of ubiquinone in Life Extension’s AmpliQ formulation, which also incorporates fenugreek-derived ingredients.* The capsules are average sized and easy for me to swallow.EFFECTS/SIDE EFFECTS:* I’ve taken this daily for several weeks and have experienced no side effects at all.* I don’t think several weeks is enough time for me to meaningfully comment on effectiveness.* I also can’t isolate any effect on energy since I simultaneously take NMN and creatine and consume caffeine regularly.VALUE:* This is where I docked a star. At around $45 for 60 capsules, this works out to about $0.75 per capsule and is expensive for a 100 mg CoQ10 supplement.* There are considerably more economical alternatives, so I consider this overpriced.OVERALL:* BUY if you specifically want this formulation. It has been completely well tolerated for me, but at this price I probably would not buy it again.

    Decent quality CoQ10 but limited transparency of origin!

    I have used many Life Extension brand supplements in the past. Their products are NSF certified for GMP. My reason for three stars is the company is not very transparent when it comes to disclosing the origin of the ingredients used in their supplements whatsoever! There is also no mention as to where their products are manufactured! So, I assume that they are imported from Asia! I feel if they were Manufactured in the United States, the company would have it stated on the label proudly! I take CoQ10 daily for many of the claimed health benefits. For the price of this formula for a 60-day supply they are rather pricey for the effectiveness you receive. There are some other brands that are equally or more effective than these at a much lower price! The CoQ10 formula used is a proprietary blend called AmpliQ! Not sure if it is just a marketing ploy or if there is something to it. I have honestly not noticed any more effectiveness from this brand then others I have used in the past! I am very fussy about the brands I use. I generally look for USP certified brands that are manufactured in the United States exclusively! The capsules are a nice easy to swallow size. I did not experience any side effects or aftertaste from the whatsoever! And there is no off-putting odor to the supplements as well. The manufacturer claims that these are 24 times more bioavailable than standard ubiquinone CoQ10! I have not experienced that myself. CoQ10 is claimed to have heart health and cellular energy benefits as well as supporting healthy aging. CoQ10 definitely helps with leg cramps if you take cholesterol lowering medications as I do. For the price of these there are better values out there!
