This is a well-formulated supplement specifically designed to support eye health. While it’s difficult to measure how effective it is, I really like the ingredients, the capsule size, and the packaging.To start, it contains Vitamins C, D3, and E—at reasonable dosages, not excessive amounts. The manufacturer seems to assume you’ll still be getting nutrients from your diet, which is a thoughtful approach. It also includes a proprietary blend featuring blueberry, marigold, and saffron extracts, as well as Omega-3s and astaxanthin—an important antioxidant for eye health. These are complemented by naturally occurring lutein and zeaxanthin, both known for supporting visual function and found in the included plant extracts.One point of confusion is the serving size. The label states that one capsule is a serving, yet the bottle contains 60 capsules and is listed as a 30-day supply—so it appears you’re meant to take two capsules daily. I wish the dosage instructions were more clearly stated.The capsules themselves are small—just slightly larger than a standard vitamin D supplement—and they’re coated, which makes them easy to swallow with or without water. I also appreciate the packaging: each capsule is individually sealed in a pop-out blister pack, similar to how many medications are packaged. This likely helps preserve freshness and potency over time.I decided to try this product because I turned 40 this year and have started noticing my vision slowly declining—probably just age-related. If there’s a supplement like this that might help, I’m glad it exists, especially at a reasonable price. Great quality
I’m impressed with the ingredients and processes involved in these capsules. The amount of each ingredient is not high but it goes beyond lutein and zeaxanthin and includes both meso-and trans-zeaxanthin as well as blueberry and saffron and phospholipids and astaxanthin. I don’t think I’ve used an eye supplement that had blueberry extract though I’ve taken it separately. It also uses both Liposomal delivery- for enhanced bioavailability and stabilityas well as OmaxFresh- for superior absorption and stable shelf life. The capsule itself and fillers appear to be natural and include Coconut Mct oil, I’m guessing in order to help with absorption. I think this came from Japan from a company that co-developed their product line with a company out of Singapore. Both look to be high quality and reputable from what I can tell, though I am far from an authority on being able to figure out which of the myriads of supplement companies are high quality.

One month of complete eye care
Many years ago my ophthalmologist recommended lutein and I’ve been taking it ever since. At that time, it was generally only available as a stand-alone supplement and could get pricey.Since that time combinations such as this one have appeared, which combine several different active ingredients. This is one of the most complete formulas I’ve seen.This supplement provides not only lutein, but zeaxanthin. Based on what I’ve read, these have been reported as being excellent for eye health overall, including protection from blue light, which is a concern for anyone who sits in front of a computer all day, as well safeguarding against potential damage from sunlight.Other ingredients include vitamins C, D3, and E, plus blueberry and saffron extracts. I consider these to be bonuses.But the biggest distinguishing factor is that this is liposomal, which means that the active ingredients are effectively shielded during digestion, which means that “the good stuff” will be delivered faster and absorbed more effectively.These are small softgels, which are encased in foil sleeves (like many cold remedies).The Supplement Facts listing for the serving size is a bit odd because it recommends taking two per day separately after a meal. There are 60 softgels in the package, so while the “servings per container” listing of 60 is correct, note that two servings per day are recommended, which means that this will only last one month. (At first glance one may think that it will last two.)Based on the ingredients and the liposomal delivery this is a good product: Recommended, keeping the two-servings-per-day issue in mind.

LABO NUTRITION VisionREGAIN Eye Vitamins. 60 count/30 day supply. “Beyond AR3DS Two Formula” – this, in the caption, caught my eye because I use famous brand eye vitamins on my ophthalmologist’s recommendation. This formula has more of the active ingredients he told me to look for, plus some extras. I like the gel capsules better than the ginormous tablets I’ve been taking, and they are in blister packs instead of loose in a jar, so they should stay soft and fresh better. The product photos show the ingredients panel from the carton – greatly appreciated – so I knew what I was getting before I ordered. The price is very favorable compared to those famous brands (sorry, I’m not supposed to say their names…) making it a good value. They also make the same eye vitamins with higher amounts of active ingredients “for 40 & up” so I will definitely be ordering that version when next I order. Made in Japan.

I wish it didn’t have gelatin
I like this supplement. It has a lot of good ingredients in it. It doesn’t leave a nasty taste and it does not upset my stomach. It is a gel cap, making it easy to take. I can’t say I’ve noticed any changes in vision or anything, but I am taking it for prevention of future eye issues. I removed a star for the fact that it has gelatin in it and because the packaging seems wasteful with the blister pack format, which I assume is because it is a soft gel. I’d prefer a bottle that can be recycled more easily.

This is made in Japan but lacks vital information:* I found nothing about it being produced in a GMP-certified and FDA-inspected facility or being third-party tested. (Those criteria make me feel more confident about what I’m putting into my body.) * Being free of gluten, preservatives, artificial coloring, and flavoring makes it suitable for a wide range of dietary preferences and restrictions. However, I couldn’t find anything about this being organic or non-GMO.* I like that this comes in capsule form and has a recommended dosage of one capsule taken twice daily, making it easy to incorporate into my daily routine.As a reviewer for products sold on Amazon, I don’t rate supplements on results or if they work since that depends on each individual’s experience and their ever-changing environmental circumstances. I rate only quality and value, the criteria I’m allowed to judge. I like these vision supplements from Labo because they have a mix of ingredients I like to take every day for my eye health. These use the word “AREDS2” on the box, but the formula isn’t exactly like the AREDS2 formula, although it is somewhat similar. In fact Labo refers to these as “Beyond AREDS2,” which is interesting. A serving of two of these supplements from Labo contains 50mg of vitamin C, 10mcg of vitamin E, 10mg of lutein,10mg of zeaxanthin, and 390 mg of something called “Optiguard” which contains blueberry extract and saffron among other ingredients. Compare Labo’s ingredients and their dosages to the AREDS2 formula and you will see they are similar; they contain many of the same ingredients but most are in different amounts, and some like zinc and copper are missing. These from Labo also have additional ingredients not in AREDS2, which include the Optiguard blend and astaxanthin, DHA, blueberry, saffron and a few others. As far as how well these work, it is difficult to say because vision supplements take time to see the effects over the course of years. However, the AREDS2 formula has been the subject of at least one large-scale scientific study, so that makes me hopeful, since these supplements have some of the same ingredients plus additional ones that are also said to be good for the eyes.According to the box, these are made in Japan. These are also gluten free and made in a Good Manufacturing Process (GMP) facility. The ones I received have an expiration date that is more than two years away, so I will definitely use up this one-month supply before then (the package contains 60 gel caps, so if I take two per day as recommended, they will last one month). I like that these come packaged in a foil pack inside the box, so they are not exposed to sunlight. I am going to be careful to keep them in the foil pack while using them and store them in the dark, because it is my understanding this will help prevent them from degrading in the light. Even though these are not identical to AREDS2, I am happy to take these each day and hope that over time they will help me out.
