Seems to help with recovery and fatigue — promising results so far
I got this for my girlfriend, who runs regularly and is currently training for a marathon. She also goes to the gym almost daily, which means her recovery time is pretty limited. On top of that, she doesn’t eat as much as she should given her activity level.After doing some research on L-Carnitine Tartrate, it sounded like it could be beneficial for people who do a high volume of intense exercise, have limited recovery, and may be low in dietary carnitine — which fit her situation well.She’s been using this for about three weeks now, and she feels like she’s noticing a difference, mainly in feeling less sore and less fatigued overall. Nothing else has changed for her — same training, same supplements, same recovery habits — so this has been the only real variable. a quick tldr on l-carnitine: this is a natural chemical from amino acids and it is produced in the body, but sometimes our bodies don’t make enough, which is where this powder comes in! it basically helps to convert fat into energy by transporting fatty acids into the mitochondria.in the non-technical terms though, l-carnitine powder has been helpful in my overall exercise/weightlifting recovery and overall energy levels. this powder is tasteless and easy to use. there also isn’t any smell or scent. after a month of consistency, i have seen positive effects with my energy and even digestion. seems to be effective and a great value for the amount of pure powder you get.

NOT kosher for my fellow Vegans!!!This is def made from animal and not lab made like many others I’ve used in the past. I wish they’d disclosed the source on their packaging.It also states that it’s unflavored but I beg the differ. If you can smell it you can taste it!When I opened the package it had a putrid smell similar to manure! Not kidding.Can’t return the item either so it’s going to the dogs.

I have heard about L-Carnitine and the health benefits of it. I decided to give it a try since I’ve been consistently in the gym 5 days a week. I love the packaging of this product – it came with a resealable bag and the bag is wide enough to scoop out the amount you need. Love the resealable option as this will ensure freshness and it’s great as a no-hassle way of adding as much or little you need. Instantly, after opening the packaging, I did notice a fishy smell. It was definitely a loud smell and if you do have a weak stomach, you may not can get pass the smell. However, I wanted to see what L-Carnitine was all about so I used it before my workout. I used mine’s with the recommended dosage but in water. The powder itself was unflavored but there was still an aftertaste. I will say that the aftertaste wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be comparing it to the smell. The bag says it contains clean ingredients in which I can appreciate since this ensures quality ingredients without any additional additives. I could tell a spike in energy during and after my workout. It also seem to help with my muscle recovery process. I didn’t experience any side effects or an upset stomach afterwards. However, I haven’t used it long enough to say it helps with losing weight. If you can get over the fishy smell after first opening the bag, I would say give it a try. The bulk design or having the supplement on-hand and being able to use it daily is definitely worth the value of what you are getting.

It mixed easily in liquid and is highly absorbed. This has a mostly neutral, slightly bitter taste and a funky odor. It contains a good amount of 1 g of L-carnitine per 1/3 teaspoon serving.
