I’ve been taking this krill oil for a few weeks now and it’s earned a permanent spot in my supplement routine. The softgels are small and smooth, and the big selling point for me is no fishy burps or lingering aftertaste, which is exactly why I switched away from regular fish oil in the first place. Questionable quality and low mg.
At first I was excited about this product due to the Amazon description. I quickly realized after receiving it that no where does it state where it is manufactured, if it is Antarctic Krill, and if it is 3rd party tested. I also noticed that the mg of Krill (500) and EPA/DHA (100) is lower compared to other comparable products on Amazon. For the higher than average price point I would expect more transparency and more mg of Krill. I do like the pleasant vanilla scent of the softgels.

These Cardivell Krill Oil 500 mg Softgels completely exceeded my expectations. I’ve had absolutely no issues with burping, no fishy taste, and no unpleasantness whatsoever. That is really important to me because I cannot stand even the “lemony” flavor that so many Omega‑3 supplements try to mask fish oil with. These are truly burp‑free, and the delicious vanilla taste when you put one in your mouth makes taking them so much easier.Yes, they’re more expensive than some other Omega‑3 pills, but the phospholipid absorption is better, and the quality is noticeably higher. For me, that makes the price difference completely worth it.I also really appreciate that these use natural ingredients. After having breast cancer, I try to avoid unnecessary chemicals whenever possible, so this is a big plus in my book.Taking just one softgel a day is super easy, and the bottle lasts two months that way. I take Krill oil daily instead of Fish oil. I switched to Krill oil because the fish oil made me burp and I would taste fish. Dr switch me to krill oil instead. I had been out of krill oil for a few weeks when I ordered this bottle.Since taking them every thing seems to be going back in line, even my joints are becoming less painful so seem to be effective. So this bottle seems to be just a bit more expensive then my regular brand, so Cardivell brand is still an average value.One a day dosage the bottle will last for 60 days.

When I opened the bottle there was a prominent fishy odor coming from the bottle that was mostly gone by the time I opened it the next day. It wasn’t strong or disgusting, just fishy. I was worried there may have been some leaks but the gelcaps were all intact and the fish smell was not coming from any leaking or damaged caps but the bottle itself; holding them transferred no smell or residue to my hands.What interested me most about this was that it offers what conventional Omega 3 doesn’t, both in nutrient and absorption. Where we take normal omega 3 fish oil caps in the evenings, we added this to our morning stack, along with about 1/4 cup nuts for healthy fat intake and added absorption.No burps or issues, these are very easy to take and fully tolerated.For the price you get about 2 months supply if taken once daily (we opted for that due to conventional omega 3 at night), which is still a little steep, but given the unique nature of the makeup in these gelcaps it is understandably more of a specialty vitamin than an essential one.
