Wild Tastes with a Kick!
This had a nice sweet, tangy, and spice, (not to be confused with hot), blend. I would always empty a packet into an empty glass and then add water to mix. I did not have a problem with clumping but a lot of foam would be created so it’s important to pour in slowly and be prepared to wait while stirring for it to go down. I was surprised by a light tingling sensation I got while initially sipping it. You do get hit with a number of different flavors, ones you might not be accustomed to tasting in a liquid, but they blended together well and I didn’t experience any harsh tastes. This was good for a nice, little jolt and pick-me-up. However, it was not enough to do away with my sometimes need for a caffeine energy drink when I hit the afternoon wall. Its ingredients are often named for being good for the circulatory and digestive systems, as well as inflammation. I’ve taken it for less than a week, so not long enough to observe any bodily improvements. For full disclosure, I received a complimentary package for an unbiased review. I know trying to recreate such a mixture would not inexpensive and would be much more time-consuming, so the convenience of this should not be lost. However, at the listed price of $50 per bag with 30 individual packets in each, this would not be something I would purchase as frequently as to meet the 1-2 servings per day they recommend. But this is something I would continue to purchase if improved health could still be gained using less frequently.

Ginger Turmeric Drink Mix Packets
What did I just drink??? I can’t tell because my throat is on fire! Now that I have that out of the way and I’ve got down about half of my glass – it’s warming and calming itself down enough to make me keep taking sips. The package says best results drink it immediately after mixing – I took that to mean drink it all down right away – but that’s definitely not happening. I’m such a spicy foods lightweight but I do like ginger which is why I thought I’d give it a try. I missed the fact that it has cayenne in there too! Thank goodness for the pineapple (and yes – you can absolutely taste the pineapple). The thought of this in a smoothie is interesting – I am willing to give it a shot.It did dissolve just fine for me in a shaker bottle. I’ve learned that’s the best way to prepare most powdery drink mixes. I mixed it with just the water first and then poured it over a FULL glass of ice – anticipating it would probably be more palatable ice cold – and I’m just taking little sips through a straw as I write this review up. My tongue’s still burning but not in a bad way! I think this bag of 30 packets is going to last me through the winter – I can’t even imagine drinking more than 1 or 2 of these a week much less daily!FOLLOW-UP: To my surprise I found myself fixing another packet today (2nd day). This time though – I mixed one packet of this turmeric cayenne crazy drink with a packet of pineapple magnesium – in a 48 oz shaker bottle – and then poured FROM that into a regular 20 oz glass filled with ice and this is a GREAT way to start out the day. Far less “burn” than yesterday and actually very refreshing.

tasty spice
The value is ok for the amount. It is 50 dollars for 30 packs. That is about 1 Dollar and 66 cents per pack. However the packets offer great superfood ingredients. The packs are definitely a little spicy. If you are sensitive to spicy, then probably avoid. Ginger and cayenne are definitely the spicy ingredients. The ingredients are great anti inflammatory combinations to help ease any inflammatory condition. The taste in my opinion is very powerful. A tiny bit of sweetness with mostly spicy and bang just like nothing I’ve ever tried. There is no artificial ingredients or sweetners Natural flavor is added into the ingredients, which I don’t know what that really means. This is made in a GMP certified warehouse meaning good manufactuer practice so it is in a good clean enviroment without any safety concerns. The expiration is about 10 months out from purchase so almost a year of shelf life. Just add it to a water bottle, shake, and enjoy cool or warm.

Wildly delicious and healthy. Totally worth the price!
This is one of those products where the price initially made me hesitate, but after actually drinking it, I understand the value much better. At $49.95 for 30 packets, it works out to about $1.67 per drink. That isn’t cheap for a powdered drink mix, but compared with buying bottled drinks, energy drinks, flavored sparkling beverages, or something from a coffee shop, $1.67 for a genuinely enjoyable drink starts to look pretty reasonable. And this is wildly delicious. The pineapple, ginger and warming spices work extremely well together. It has enough ginger, turmeric, cinnamon and cayenne character to taste interesting rather than like artificially flavored tropical water.I also like what’s behind the flavor. Each packet is only 16 calories with no added sugar and contains 1 gram of prebiotic fiber. The ingredient list includes pineapple, ginger, inulin, cinnamon, turmeric, cayenne, green tea, vitamin C and black pepper. Black pepper is a particularly sensible companion to turmeric because piperine is commonly used to improve curcumin bioavailability. There’s also 200 mg of vitamin C and 60 mg of magnesium per packet. The green tea contributes 45 mg of caffeine, which is a fairly gentle amount, around half of what you might get from a typical cup of coffee. I like that because it makes this feel more like an everyday pick-me-up than a heavily caffeinated energy product. One limitation is that the label doesn’t disclose the individual amounts of ginger, turmeric, cinnamon or the other botanicals. Since this is sold as a food/drink mix rather than giving therapeutic doses of each botanical, I wouldn’t buy it expecting supplement-level quantities of turmeric or ginger. For me, its strength is that it takes several worthwhile ingredients and turns them into something I actually look forward to drinking. The individual packets are convenient too. I mix one in my 32 oz tumbler, and it doesn’t even taste watered down. Loads of flavor and a kick there. At nearly $50 a bag, calling this inexpensive would be a stretch, but context matters. People routinely spend $2, $3 or considerably more on individual beverages that offer little beyond flavor and sugar or caffeine. At roughly $1.67 each, these packets give me a delicious tropical-spiced drink, no added sugar, some fiber, vitamin C, magnesium, botanicals and a moderate caffeine boost. That’s a tradeoff I can justify. This is one of the rare drink mixes where I started out questioning the price and ended up thinking I’d rather spend my beverage money on this than on another bottled drink. Totally worth it!!

Spicy and tropical
This drink mix is very spicy, but the heat is surprisingly short-lived and does not linger or burn which I appreciate. I definitely taste the pineapple and the cayenne pepper; other ingredients include ginger, turmeric, black pepper, Camellia sinesis (green tea), and cinnamon, as listed on the ingredients. There is also a moderate amount of caffeine identified as liposomal caffeine, only 45mg. For me, this amount provides a little caffeine without giving me the jitters. This mix is also a good source of vitamin C, providing 200mg. I’ve been enjoying it mixed with plain, chilled water, although I think it would be an excellent addition to a smoothie, even though I’m not a smoothie person myself.According to the label it contains 0.8 g of sugar, and the sweetness comes from TagaSweet, a mix of tagatose and monk fruit. The resealable pouch contains 30 individual packets containing one serving each. The packets are easy to add to a glass or bottle; however, I found that not all the powdered contents dissolved completely or mixed easily into the water so some settling or residue may occur. The best by date on my pouch is 07/2028 and I received this order in August of this year, giving it nearly two years of shelf life from the time I received it.

Should be called super duper ultra spiced. It definitely has a HUGE KICK to it.
My reason for ordering this Ginger Turmeric drink mix from KOA….I love ginger cookies. I know sounds odd but I have never tried any type of ginger drink. I do take turmeric in supplement form so I had no idea what to expect. It just sounded like something interesting to try. This package has thirty packets included.Lot # and best by date stamped on the bag. While I appreciate the nutrition facts and that is it sugar free I do wish the amount of the superfoods was listed. Each individual packet also has the nutrition facts on it.I did not find this to stir up as well as it should. I put it in a shaker bottle and everything blended/ dissolved wonderfully so I’d recommend a shaker bottle of some sort.I am used to most powdered drink mixes tasting watered down when you follow the recommended amount of water. I still followed the recommended 8 oz of water for a packet. HOLY CRAP….I did not expect something with such a KICK. I mean if I have salsa I want MILD…this literally throat punches you. I added an extra 4 oz of water and it was still plenty potent. They are not kidding when they say spiced. I didn’t really notice any of the flavors except the ginger and possibly the cayenne.I tried it again and this time warmed the water and used about 14-16 oz of water. I preferred it warm and it reminded me of a nice cider.I did not experience any type of side effects nor was there any aftertaste.Since it’s summer I don’t foresee myself drinking many of these right now. I will wait till it’s cooler and enjoy these as a nice warming beverage then.I personally find the amount of caffeine to be negligible at best. Granted caffeine does not affect me at all but it seems this is such a minimal amount I’m not even sure why it was added.Price is a little to the high side but then I guess most drinks even in cans are around 12-16 oz and more than 1.60 each so if you look at it that way it isn’t so bad.Since there is no breakdown as I mentioned on how much of each superfood is in this I have no idea how much if any it is doing health wise.If you like mouth burning….unless you add more water, portable beverages this might be for you. It’s not bad watered down…You’ve been warned lol.

Ginger Turmeric Spiced Tropical Superfood Drink Mix Review
If you are looking for a morning pick-me-up that will truly wake up your senses, this is it! This drink mix delivers an intense, fiery kick thanks to the cayenne pepper and ginger combination. It is really spicy—definitely not your average mild wellness shot or sweet tropical juice—so be prepared for a serious warming burn in the best possible way.Beyond the intense heat, the flavor profile is wonderfully bold, blending sweet pineapple with earthy turmeric, cinnamon, and a functional boost of green tea and liposomal caffeine. It mixes smoothly into a vibrant, refreshing drink that provides a clean, jitter-free energy boost without a heavy crash.Pros:Major Kick: If you love heat, the cayenne and ginger combo brings an incredible, authentic spice that really clears the sinuses.Clean Energy: Packed with 45mg of caffeine from green tea, vitamins, and prebiotics for a solid afternoon or morning reset.Convenient: Individual stick packets make it easy to toss in your bag and mix on the go.Cons:Too Hot for Some: If you are sensitive to spicy foods or unexpected heat in beverages, the cayenne might catch you off guard.Overall, an amazing superfood blend for anyone who likes a bold flavor profile with actual fiery punch!

Cayenne forward
Convenient for on the go to add to bottles of water! I ordered this drink mix as a cold alternative to ginger tea, something I love. It was a very timely order as my entire household fell ill with colds..If you don’t mind cayenne, this is the drink for you. If you hate cayenne, it’d be a pass; my household was divided. The pepper almost overwhelms the ginger to my palette, and ginger is spicy in its own way. Needless to say, it is effective in clearing your sinuses, and the benefits of ginger and turmeric as an anti-inflammatory make this a beneficial beverage year round. I’ve not tried it hot, but I think it would be just as good, though would probably amplify the heat from the peppers. If I were to offer any advice to the manufacturers, it would be to do a cayenne-free version for those who can’t do “heat” 🙂
