Real deal
Legit. I took a large cup of water with about 1/3 coconut milk 2/3 water.About 1/3 to 1/4 of the bag of kava ( the 8 ounce one so like 2-3 ounces. That gave me 2 runs i did water and milk pressed it for 5 mins drank it. Then did another half glass of just water pressed and drank it. Edit( this should be enough for 3-4 people. And you don’t need as much as I used. The bag is right 2-4 heaping table spoonsis plenty. I didn’t have any super negative effects but this was too much. Strong and will mess you up.

Not the best kava ever, but it’s pretty good – Worth trying.
Fairly good. Taste isn’t too bad, more sharp/pungent than bitter and earthy. Numbs your tongue some but not as much as some. Grind is inconsistent, random bigger peices but almost none ground too fine – I didn’t have issues prepping it but the grind might not be ideal. Effects were mostly heady, fairly strong for Amazon kava. I will probably buy again but I’m not rushing to reorder.

Mixed bag but generally good
Had three bags total. First bag smelt sour but was fine effect. Second seemed a little weaker potency but no problems. Last bag intense stomach upset every time I use it. Not finishing, going in compost. Weird to have so much variation. It didn’t give me a headache like some other brands here I’ve tried. Update the company reached out for support so you know they care if there’s a problem. Upgrade for that reason!

Low Grade Kava
I was extremely disappointed in the product. The packaging was great, but the product itself was not solid. I have had many kava strains, and Damu is supposedly one of the stronger strains. I could not feel the effects, even after massaging the product inside a strainer bag for close to 15-20 minutes (traditional way).Increasing the dosage (tbs) and decreasing the water mixture did not change anything at all. This was not “Strong” and “Premium”. It tasted like they extracted the bark instead of the roots of the plant. Was very disappointed.For the price, its 100% NOT worth it.

Love! One of my favorites! The powder is medium grind so there are some chunks of kava root material in there, but I actually like it like that! I don’t like it too fine of a grind. I put it in the blender 90 seconds to 4 minutes and then strain it. I went through the bag pretty quick because I loved taking this one every day.

Update: I learned, through researching the topic, that a solvent/fuel taste can happen during the drying process. This is in no way indicative of Koa’s quality. They not only owned the mishap, but granted me a full refund and are sending me a proper batch. The kava may have been a crummy batch, but I’m giving 5 stars for the company. They do good business!
