A tale of two results
I recently started a ketogenic diet and read that a multi vitamin would help offset the effects of “keto flu”. I admit I didn’t do a lot of research, I figured most multivitamins were the same. I saw this was specifically tailored for low carb diets, so I figured it was worth a shot.Unfortunately, I can’t give a definitive review. I took the suggested dose of 3 pills right at the start of my diet. I had a bad headache the first day, but after that it has been smooth sailing. I haven’t had any of the side effects I’ve read about. So it would seem the vitamin did indeed help. However, my fiance decided to try this with me. We ate the exact same foods, drank about the same amount of water and took the same dose of this. She ended up getting an extended bad headache, her joints started really hurting and she would get hot and cold. I’ve read these are all possible side effects and the pill didn’t seem to help her at all. It got so bad she ultimately decided to stop keto. So like I said, not really definitive for you. It’s been a week for me and I still have had no adverse side effects. So for me, the vitamin seems to have helped.One last note. The pill tastes horrible. Just terrible. But I still take it. I’d probably buy it again for me and see if there were any other ones out there if my fiance decides to give keto another try.

Awesome solution for Keto related electrolyte issues
It’s been 2.5 months since I began a ketogenic lifestyle. In that time, I’ve seen dramatic weight loss and while I usually feel good, sometimes I’d get really lightheaded and fatigued. After doing a lot of research I learned that electrolyte imbalance is very common in Keto diets, and many people suggested a good multi vitamin with no iron.I discovered Core Basics on Amazon after a short search, and since the reviews looked promising, I decided to give it a shot. After almost a week of taking 1 pill per day, I have noticed that I feel more energetic and even keeled, even when working out in the yard in the summer sun. It’s still early, but I would say if you are on Keto and having issues meeting your potassium/magnesium levels, this is an ally in your corner.I would give a 5 star review except the pills are extremely large, and I had to really chug a lot of water to get the first one down. Nothing a pill splitter can’t fix, but if you have issues swallowing big pills, be ready to split them up into halves or fourth.Edit: I was contacted by the friendly folks at Ketolabs to let me know they are working on a smaller pill version. Upgrading to 5 stars!

No keto flu!
So far so good. The Keto flu seriously kicks my behind when I try to really get into solid ketosis and at my job, I just can’t function with the headaches and fatigue so I usually wind up cheating and eventually giving up. This last round I’ve been going very strict with the diet and haven’t had any symptoms whatsoever. No headaches, energy’s good, and even the cravings are noticeably diminished. (I know keto is naturally supposed to lower cravings, but the last couple times I’ve tried, they were still there by this time, about a week in)Ketone levels are just under moderate and climbing. Will update if I hit full ketosis and escape the flu!EDIT: Ketosis achieved and never a hint of the flu. Only a month in but this is the longest I’ve been able to maintain ketosis and I feel pretty solid about staying there this time

Solved a 12 year problem!!!
I am 72 years old. In 2003, I was diagnosed (thru an open lung biopsy) with pulmonary fibrosis (caused by exposure to formaldehyde gas). I also had pulmonary hypertension (caused by scarring of the pulmonary artery from the formaldehyde). I was suppose to die within 6 years (at most). About 2007, I discovered the Strict Ketogenic Diet (SKD) as a means to minimize the production of C02 in my body (as my lungs cannot easily remove it). While on SKD for 2 years and MSKD (Modified SKD) for 4 years, I had no problem with respiratory acidosis (caused by build-up of C02 in the body). However, I developed a deficiency which was creating its own problems. Therefore, I transitioned from MSKD to low carb (~75 grams per day) until the deficiency was no long noted. Now I had a problem with respiratory acidosis again! I had to make a choice…..deficiency or acidosis….!!! I chose to go back on SKD last April (2018) and attempt once again to deal with the deficiency. This time, it surfaced much faster than before. Finally I found this vitamin-mineral combo for those on SKD. AFter 3 days of taking it, all symptoms of deficiency were gone, digestive pain related to fats (~200 grams per day as fat must be 85%-90% of Total Caloric Intake on SKD) were gone. I could mention more but this is a good indicator of how effective this product can be. I am glad someone thought to put together this combo.

The vitamin seem to be OK but man, the smell is terrible. Reminds me of urine. I don’t understand why and I don’t see anybody else commenting about it. Makes Against me wonder if I got a bad bottle.

Amazing energy, mood and decreased cravings
This is my 2nd bottle. They really are better than many other brands I’ve tried. Helps with food cravings, food noise and energy. I generally feel better taking these and definitely can feel when I forget. It does upset my stomach so I take after morning breakfast. Will continue to purchase as I follow a lowercarb diet and cycle with keto.
