This Jaca doesn’t jolt
I’m not a regular drinker of energy drinks because I refrain from caffeine after my morning coffee and I don’t usually like the taste. Occasionally, however, I will need a little pick-me-up so I grab a 5 Hour Energy and I can definitely feel the pop. With these, I have yet to feel anything, much less a Jaca Jolt. That’s probably because they pack just 60mg of caffeine vs 200mg in 5 Hour, regular (240mg in Extra). The Jaca Jolt also touts that it contains vitamins B6 and B12, but doesn’t say how much. 5 Hour has 40mg of B6 and 500mcg of B12. As a result, I’m not sure why I would reach for a Jaca Jolt over a 5 Hour. Either I need a jolt or I don’t. The taste wasn’t great, sort of bitter, but acceptable. Bottom line is the Jaca doesn’t jolt and it is actually a bit more expensive than the popular 5 Hour energy drink.

Great if you aren’t used to caffeine, but not enough if you’re already a caffeine junky.
For the most part, these are great for a quick pick-me-up. I can’t quite put my finger on the taste, but it’s definitely a tropical fruit of some kind. Passionfruit comes to mind, though I’m not quite sure that’s it. Whatever it is, it’s sweet and tastes pretty good.According to the bottle, there’s 60mg of caffeine in it, which is about a cup of coffee. If you don’t regularly have any caffeine, it makes for a great energy boost that lasts a couple hours. There don’t seem to be any negative side effects like jitters, since the dosage is fairly small. It just works well, and tastes fine too.if, on the other hand, you’re already a caffeine junky on your third cup of coffee, or you already had a pre-workout drink with meth in it, this little shot isn’t going to do anything. You probably won’t even notice it. Which is fine….this just won’t be the product for you.Where I think this shines, is appetite suppression. I know caffeine has that effect, but I think there’s more to it than that, because this stuff seems to do a better job than some drinks i’ve had with 3x the caffeine. I’m not recommending you use this as a meal replacement, but if you’re thinking about snacking in the mid afternoon, one of these does a good job of curbing your craving, at least for a couple hours. It’s a good way to cut a few unnecessary calories.So, this definitely has an audience I think, and it’s worth considering. I do have a bit of a problem with the price though. There are 12 shots in the box (flimsiest box I’ve ever encountered) which means these are nearly $3 each. that seems a bit steep for what you get. Maybe you can catch them on sale.

Delicious Jolt that Gets Me Through the End of My Day
These Jaca Jolt energy shots are amazing. They taste sweet and give just the right boost, but you have to know what you’re buying. Looking at other reviews, people complain that there’s not a lot of caffeine in them, but it clearly states the caffeine content on the bottle at 60mg. This caffeine content is more akin to a strong tea and less than a cup of coffee. I find that they’re ideal for getting through the 3:00 afternoon slump during the workday. It’s enough to give me a little energy for the rest of the day without keeping me up for the rest of the night. If you’re a heavy coffee drinker or consume a lot of caffeine otherwise, others are correct that it probably isn’t going to be the best option for you, but that’s clearly stated on the product.I love that these are small and easy to take with you. I can throw one in a bag or even in my pocket. I think my only complaint would really be pricing. They feel a little bit expensive, and if they were more affordable, I would consider using them more.

Jaca Jolt Energy Shot ….
If you are not a coffee or tea drinker but need a little pick-me up to get you through the morning or afternoon, thisjust might fit the bill. I suppose its gold standard direct competitor is the regular strength 5 Hour Energy. A lot ofenergy drinks load up on high doses of B vitamins in addition to caffeine to boost alertness, although the evidence onthat is mixed. 5 Hour Energy clearly lists the amount of vitamin B, whether you deem the dose too high or not.I downgrade any energy boost product that does not list the dosage of Niacin, Vitamin B6 and B12. Hence loss of2 stars. This stuff has 60mg of caffeine while regular 5 Hour Energy has 200mg. That’s like drinking a small cup ofcoffee versus a very large one. Price-wise, it’s in the ball park with 5 Hour Energy. As for the taste, it is sweetenedwith allulose, a non-nutritional sweetener that’s in vogue now. It has a just a hint of bitter after-taste but it’s not bad.As long as you don’t depend on this type of stuff on a daily basis, I think it’s OK to use it occasionally. I will use upmy samples but it will not be my 1st choice when I need this kind of stuff.

I’ve tried my fair share of energy shots over the years, and most either leave me feeling jittery or come loaded with sugar. Jaca Jolt has been a refreshing change. It gives me a clean boost of energy without the crash, and I love that it’s sweetened with allulose instead of traditional sugar no weird aftertaste, and it doesn’t mess with my blood sugar like others have in the past.The caffeine and B vitamins give me just the right amount of focus to power through my workday or a workout, without feeling overly wired. I also appreciate that it’s backed by actual clinical research it makes me feel a little more confident in what I’m putting into my body.The 12-pack is super convenient, especially since I’m often on the go. I just keep a couple in my bag or car for when I need a quick pick-me-up. Overall, this feels like a healthier, cleaner option compared to the usual sugary energy shots. Definitely planning to keep these in my rotation.

Low Caffeine Content—Hardly A “Jolt”
This is intended to be a less toxic version of 5-Hour Energy, presumably. It’s also got a fraction of the caffeine content. (Each Jolt has 60mg caffeine while 5-Hour Energy has 230mg.) These also tastes worse than their competitor which for me leaves the only positive aspect being they cost less ($33 for 12 ct. 2 oz. bottles at the time of writing this review). Overall, these weren’t for me. These are great for a diabetic person who also doesn’t want or need a high amount of caffeine.

An energy drink that’s actually tasty, but the jaca or allulose may cause digestive issues …
I don’t often use energy drinks, but rather try them out for younger members of the family who do. This one is actually quite tasty. The sweetness comes from jaca sugar, otherwise known as allulose. It’s similar to stevia, but isn’t always tolerated as well. It can cause some digestive upset in some people.That being said, there would be a small jolt in this formula. It has 60mg of caffeine, a bit shy of the usual 95mg in a regular mug of coffee. However, we are looking at a very small quantity of liquid here. It also has an infusion of Vitamins B-6 and B-12. I’m not sure if this type of drink would control one’s appetite, but if you’re working out while taking it, that might be a plus.
