Hello. 6-7 months later I wanted to edit that this HAS, in fact, greatly improved my ferritin stores as well as actually the general health of my red blood cells. They smeared em and everything. lol Nice and plump. Hemoglobin was better than ever and I would even forget to take it for a few days here and there. But I guess as long as you take it the majority of the time! I also forgot to mention in the first half that I only took a half dose at first 2.5 mL for a few weeks to acclimate since I have such a sensitive stomach. I do take the full 5 at times but I realized my body definitely reacts best to the 2.5-3. So even with that amount my values were much, much better getting tested 6 months later. No diet change. Just the supplement. Just wanted to share some hard data!——————My neurologist actually recommended this to me because she takes this one. SlowFe gives me horrible nonstop diarrhea, Floradix makes me nauseous, regular iron supplements give me constipation for days and barely raise my hemoglobin levels without even touching my ferritin levels (the actual stored iron!)I bought a kid’s medicine spoon to take this with. I don’t like chocolate so I knew this wouldn’t be a great flavor for me, however it does do a great job of covering the metallic iron as well as possible! I agree with another review about the orange juice mix. I didn’t actually stir them. I just take a swig of OJ after to help absorption. Empty stomach actually doesn’t bother me with this supplement! I can finally take it as I’m supposed to! But the quick chocolate orange mix is tasty for a second. Then it’s kinda gross. Lol but whatever, it’s quick with the measuring medicine spoon. I short it back quick to prevent staining and stickiness.It takes time to affect hemoglobin and especially ferritin stores, but there’s no denying I absolutely felt better immediately after the first dose. Within the hour I had more energy. I don’t have terribly low iron either! This really works and I look forward to seeing just how well it affects my actual lab values.———————Back again to update well over a year later and still happily using this. Immediate energy
I wasn’t expecting to take it and get a boost of energy with in less than an hour. I took it with cashews and orange juice as Vitamin C in orange juice helps with iron absorption. I have low ferritin levels that nothing has seemed to work for so long, and so far so good and again with this as just day 1. Wow. I may need to eat more with it as I did feel a slight bit nauseous but nothing big. The taste is ok…no metal taste afterwards, but I did chase it with orange juice. It lightly stained my fingers which gives concerns for my teeth as liquid iron is known to stain them. So, I plan to get a Oral Syringe & Medicine Spoon to aide getting it further down my throat to avoid my teeth more. Again so far so good. Time will tell if it helps my ferritin levels go up. However, it made me feel good right away so it has to be working. Definitely recommend.

Bought this because I have low iron and even the gentle iron pills upset my stomach. Tried this and it was easy and absolutely no side effects! I wish there were more flavor options but this isn’t that bad. Tastes exactly how it’s labeled but still has a metallic aftertaste (in my opinion). By the end of the bottle I was sick of the taste. But I guess it’s still better than the side effects the pills gave me.

Liquid iron for those that get anemic easily, better absorption than from pills
There are exactly two similar liquid iron products (same iron type) for sale on amazon right now. I tried the competition first only because it is a higher dose of iron than this one but with that higher dose comes a higher price. Naturally, given the chance to get twice as much for the same price most folks are going to want to try out the cheaper one in case it can do the job as well. When the bottle arrived the sticky circle that keeps the box closed had dried out and the box was open (but not the bottle, it was still sealed) and the dosage cup was missing from the box no biggie I have a few of those from other products. Iron because it is what it is, can have a metallic taste to liquid forms, this one comes with a “chocolate caramel” sort of flavor which I at least prefer to the grape flavor of the other product. This product comes in a four and eight ounce bottle, I bought the larger one just so I won’t have to order as often. The dosage is 555% of the daily recommended value which sounds like a lot but if you’re severely iron anemic your health care professional actually might be ordering doses that high or even higher to try to get you back where you need to be. It seems to be recognized that iron absorption from a liquid supplement is VERY superior to that you can get from pills. As a laymen natural healing student, I’ve always believed that at least some supplements will absorb better when your body doesn’t have to work to extract it in the digestive tract. It’s supposed to take several months to restore iron stores in the body when they get too low I can tell you from personal experience iron anemia makes you feel like a wet rag that just won’t dry out, no energy, no drive, no desire to do much of anything but lay around. After about two months of high levels of supplements I’m feeling a lot butter but I’m determined not to have to deal with that again. There are reviews written by people who take these liquid products all the time, yes it’s a little pricey but worth it believe me. Liquid iron products have the unfortunate reputation of staining teeth so when you use a product like this make sure to take a drink of something to swish it out of your mouth so it’s not sitting on your teeth. Will post more once I’ve used this one for a while, I’m comparing it to the competing product to see how I feel. Some folks also report gastric issues with high doses of iron, I haven’t noticed that with this particular type of iron but everyone’s different. Be careful not to spill this on fabric it will stain from the looks of things.I’ve nearly gone through a whole bottle of this over the past couple months and it is keeping my iron levels where they belong will definetly buy this again when I run out in the next month or so. Good stuff and it doesn’t taste bad at all. Have not noticed any gastric issues and I feel great.

Chocolate caramel is most tolerable by far
I have tried 3 liquid iron supplements now and this chocolate caramel one is the only one I can tolerate. I tried raspberry from another brand and this brand and both were awful—syrupy, medicinal, and tasted like blood/metal even though they said they don’t. I don’t know how, but the chocolate caramel one isn’t thick like the others and the metallic taste is maybe 1/10th as noticeable. I am disgusted very easily so I mix the liquid iron into something else to hide the taste as much as possible. I put the chocolate caramel in sugar free chocolate milk or hot chocolate and I can’t even taste it. I can’t vouch for the efficacy of the iron yet since I haven’t been taking it for that long, but if it works as it should I will 100000% stick with chocolate caramel forever. Even if you think won’t like it because you don’t like chocolate or caramel, trust me. It’s way, way less gross than the raspberry.Extra advice if you are extremely easily disgusted like me and need even more help covering the flavor: hot chocolate/chocolate milk powder + *peanut butter powder* + milk of your choice. My doctor also suggested a peanut butter and banana smoothie.

The best of liquid irons out there!
This one here is the best out of all of them.. the taste is nice and its easy on your stomach. Im anemic and my blood was low i would get headaches, feel tired, and sometimes lethargic.. hunny this medicine here I believe the third week i felt the boost of energy.. i had mental clarity and just felt good. I know alot of women has low iron because of cycles.. yall get this you will not be disappointed. Even my dr said this was a good choice.. she wanted me to try yummy. But i told her i had already had liquid iron she lookes it up and said well yeah its better the potency is high as well.. so get it!!

This product really does work my hemoglobin was at an 11 and my ferritin was at a 5 this picked up my hemoglobin at a 13 I don’t know what my ferritin is right now though, but hey it moved two points with hemoglobin, but also know ferritin is super important too. I was feeling really sick like short of breath, low energy, heart rate going fast, over all I thought I was dying. Low iron just made my POTS feel so much worse. I started to feel better in a couple of days. This actually helps your iron the only thing is you need to be careful since I was taking it consistently it triggered a gastritis flare and sent me to the ER I was nauseated for a couple of days couldn’t eat or drink anything. It’s been three weeks and I still have acid reflux sadly. If you’re someone who has gastritis it’s best to take this every other day. I’m trying my best to do that but I may need to see a hematologist because I simply can’t take iron supplements which is causing the acid reflux still. Also it did cause some constipation after stopping it for a while I finally got my bowls to be normal again. However, I’m feeling sick again so I need to start some iron supplement but it’s hard due to my gastritis.

Helped Bring My Iron Levels Back to Normal
This is the only iron supplement I’ve tried, and it has worked very well for me. The taste is much better than I expected, which makes it easy to take.After using it regularly, my lab results came back normal, which was a big improvement. Now that my levels are stable, I only take it once in a while to maintain them. Overall, it’s been a very effective supplement for me and I’m really happy with the results.
