I purchased these iron and mineral capsules for my daughter. She is involved in track and running and I want to ensure that she’s getting enough daily iron to support her fitness. I like that these have a low level of iron, so as to not provide too much and that it also includes multiple other minerals that are useful for active individuals and/or athletes. They are a good price and the bottle contains a 30 day supply. She can easily swallow the capsules.

Trying an Iron Supplement
I recently started taking an iron supplement. It comes in a small bottle with thirty capsules. The capsules are made of clear gelatin, and you can see the dark powder inside. They are small and easy to swallow. The bottle says they are designed to be easy on the stomach. I’ve taken iron supplements before that made my stomach feel bad, so I was hoping these would be different.So far, I haven’t had any problems. I take one capsule each day. The bottle also says that if you don’t want to swallow the capsule, you can open it and mix the powder into a drink. I haven’t tried that yet. The bottle says the supplement doesn’t have any artificial fillers or colors. I’m taking them to help with my energy levels. It’s still early, but I hope they will make a diffrence.

These Iron capsules are contained within a small, plastic bottle that is easy for me to open with my weak, painful hands. When I first opened the bottle, the lid itself managed to remove the protective seal underneath it, so I didn’t have to bother fussing with that. Examining the bottle’s labeling, the only boast whose small print I can manage to read indicates that this was made in a GMP certified facility. I can also read the words “in USA,” but I can’t make out any of the incredibly tiny words surrounding that, so I can’t confirm whether this was “made” in the USA. I do see that it was “developed by and manufactured for” a company based in Utah. The Supplement Facts and Other Ingredients listed exactly match those shown in the product images. Note that this supplement consists of much more than just Iron, so I had to be careful when combining this with the host of other supplement I take to ensure that I don’t overdo anything. The capsules themselves are medium in size, and they have a very mild aroma that smells like oats to me. At a recommended serving size of 1 capsule per day, this bottle of 30 capsules is meant to last for just 1 month.

Managing iron levels can be a real pain, but these work exactly as described.The instructions were crystal clear, the product was easily digestible with no aftertaste of other off-putting side-effects. Most importantly, the product worked perfectly. I have notoriously low iron, and I was able to maintain my iron levels (getting tested every 2-3 days) using this supplement with my normal diet.If you are looking for an iron supplement that works, try this one out. It does what it says, didn’t upset my stomach, and performed perfectly.

Less than a half your daily allowance for iron!
These vitamins contain more than just Iron like Vitamin B and C. No D, however. It’s not quite a multi-vitamin.If you’re looking for 100% your daily iron needs, look elsewhere. These inexplicably contain less than half your daily needs. I just checked, and another vitamin with over 200% your daily allowance costs ONE THIRD of this vitamin.For the reasons above I do not recommend these vitamins. I recommend looking at other products that offer more for less.

These were good iron pills, packed with other nutrients, too.
I like that these supplements provide a variety of other vitamins and minerals, in fairly generous amounts (~50%+). Since I do blood plasma donations, I like to try and manage things such as my iron levels, to make sure that I can recover quickly, after donations.The pills are easy to take, and they have a nice color to them. The powder is contained within capsules, so there’s no taste or aroma to it, at all. I feel that the combination and concentration of nutrients in this supplement made for a good product, and I recommend it, specifically for iron supplementation needs, as well as that it’s also a multivitamin.

I’ve taken several other iron supplements before and they were always a huge, chalky pill that made it difficult to swallow. These are maybe a tad smaller, but most importantly, they’re smooth and not chalky so they’re much easier to take. I personally haven’t had any issues with any iron supplements, these or others that I’ve taken in the past, giving me an upset stomach even when taken without food, so I can’t speak much on that. These supplements do smell a bit like yeast to me, but it’s not unpleasant, and since I can swallow them so quickly, I haven’t noticed any taste.
