I requested and received this 180-count bottle of beta alanine in capsule form. Being a typical gym rat, I’m no stranger to beta alanine and its use in many different preworkout formulas, but I haven’t tried taking beta alanine on its own in capsule form before. Having made the personal choice many years ago to cut out preworkouts altogether, it was intriguing to see a beta alanine supplement iin this form and thought I’d give it a go.The label states a serving size is six capsules for a total of three grams of beta alanine and nothing else unless one wants to consider the gelatin, titanium dioxide, and vegetable magnesium stearate that are the “extras” one will be consuming with this product. (I’ve included a picture of six capsules next to a dime for reference purposes.) I found the capsules easy to swallow with no aftertaste, no smells, etc.I also noted on the label in tiny, tiny font that this product is manufactured on equipment that processes products that contain dairy, soy and wheat. The big disappointment for me is that this information is nowhere to be found on the product page, topped off with the fact that this is not a returnable item, so that’s 25 bucks down the drain for one who absolutely cannot consume foods/products that have been on equipment or in a facility that processes certain allergens as that could land one in an emergent situation.I’m guessing if someone is looking at beta alanine as a standalone supplement like this one, they’re familiar with its benefits. This is an amino acid that supports the body’s production of carnosine. Carnosine is a pH buffer in muscle tissue and, therefore, this allows for efficient energy production without the same level of lactic acid buildup which can contribute to muscle fatigue and soreness. And beta alanine does have clinical studies under its belt and has been shown to benefit athletic performance. And with its antioxidant effects as well, it is easy to see why beta alanine is a good one to keep in one’s workout/gym supplement repertoire.I can state through experience that this beta alanine does give the tingly effect, enhanced energy levels during my workouts, and also allows for getting a couple more reps per set. It’s nice to have this as a standalone considering I don’t consume preworkouts anymore and do enjoy the feeling of enhanced energy and being able to get a couple more reps per set.Honestly, there is nothing to dislike about this beta alanine as a whole except for the lack of allergen statement on the product page itself. And having experienced the efficacy of this particular supplement, I can confidently state that at the current price of 24.95 on 9-3-26, it seems pretty pricey considering I can purchase this same ingredient in bulk and get 167 three-gram servings for less than what this product costs for 30 servings. This does give me pause, but I do understand not everyone wants to dump some powder into liquid before their workout and may simply prefer a capsule approach. So with the lack of an allergen statement on the product page to assist highly sensitive/allergic individuals with their decision, in addition to the expense component, I can only give this four stars as I sit here today.

Beta Alanine is one of those products that just work, and there’s not better way to get it than in a capsule form. I’ve been taking these capsules for about a week, and every time I take them, I can physically feel them working withing about 15 minutes. I have better energy, less muscle fatigue, and they work great. Infinite Labs is a great brand with a good reputation, I know this product is made with good quality ingredients.My only negative towards the product, the recommended intake of beta-alanine is 3.2 – 6.4g/day, and this product only provides 3g in 6 capsules! Personally, I think 3.2g to somewhere in the middle is an ideal dose, which leads me to taking 7-8 caps each day, which is quite a lot to stomach. I wouldnt mind if these were either filled a bit more, or even a larger pill to allow me to get more ingredient in less capsules.As for side effects, with all BA products, you will get tingly or itchy, this is absolutely normal. If you are new to this product, I would highly recommend cutting the dose in half and taking it with a light snack or your first week or two, then gradually ramp up.Overall, I like this product, however I don’t like the amount of pills you need to take, plus to get a full dose, a bottle will last you less than 1 month, which isn’t the greatest value.
