A clean supplement but the amount of HA you’re getting is unclear due to a label discrepancy
I like having hyaluronic acid as part of my daily regimen. Previously, I’ve tried to use hyaluronic acid powder, for economy’s sake. However, HA is very hydrophilic: it slurps up water. Whenever I put the powder in my coffee or a glass of water, it turned gummy, which wasn’t pleasant. So … it seems that capsules such as these are the way to go.The recommended serving is 2 capsules per day, which can be taken separately (1 after lunch, 1 after dinner, for instance). There are 90 capsules in the bottle, a 45-day supply. The capsules are medium-sized and I have no problem swallowing them.The makers call this a high potency formula. Apparently this is because of its liposomal delivery system. I will note that it’s still up in the air whether liposomal delivery is all that useful in the case of most supplements.As for benefits, the label says it’s designed for “daily skin, joint, and connective tissue support,” targeting skin, hydration, eye health and gut. This statement carries the usual disclaimer that it has not been evaluated by the FDA. I have only just started taking it, so cannot attribute any particular effects to yet. Because hyaluronic acid is something I’ve used before and believe to be beneficial, I expect that taking these capsules will help support my general well-being, even if effects are not dramatic.This product is vegan and gluten free. It seems a very clean supplement; besides hyaluronic acid the only other ingredients are microcrystalline cellulose, modified cellulose (for the capsule), magnesium stearate, and silicon dioxide.The reason I don’t give it a full 5 stars is because of a glaring discrepancy regarding the amount of hyaluronic acid you’re actually getting. The front label prominently states “200MG”, while the supplement facts panel lists only 24 mg of hyaluronic acid per serving. That’s a huge difference. I could just be misreading or misunderstanding it, of course. But I’m knocking off a star because it’s confusing at best, and I believe that to be on the maker/seller.
