Immune supplement, okay but little research
If you’re anything like me and my family then you have been fighting off colds for the entire winter this year. We live in the Midwest and we feel the effects of low sunlight and vitamin d, and a lack of fresh air from being cooped up inside. All of these things really take a hit on ones immune system.I knew I needed a supplement and this seemed like a good choice. I have never heard of Astaxanthin before but I like that it was sourced naturally from seaweed I believe. A lot of immune boosting products are in the probiotic family so I was delighted to see an alternative to that.This came in a light-proof bag, and all the soft gels were in good condition-not crushed or punctured. I was a little concerned that it didnt have any child-proof packaging though. Individual blister packs or a child-proof lid and bottle would be much safer. I keep any medicine and supplements up and out of reach but accidents do happen.These are odorless and very easy to consume, they are small and the coating does not stick to your throat at all. I didnt notice any stomach upset or after taste either.120 count is a generous size especially if you take 1 per day. But here’s the thing with supplements; a lot of time they make claims for things that are difficult to measure or see the effects of in a short amount of time. For instance its impossible to measure your free radical count before and after taking these.It really all comes down to what research you can trust. I personally think they should of included more research info on Astaxanthin, especially since most people likely haven’t heard of it before. A simple insert with the bag would have been appreciated.I cant definitively say that these helped improve my skin or immune system but they didnt harm me either. The ingredients appear to be clean and ultimately may help some people.

Easy to take and easy on the stomach
I came to this supplement as it was recommended for helping elasticity of the face after weight loss. I haven’t heard of this supplement until 3 months when I saw that. While it is too early to measure effectiveness of this for the skin, it’s supposed to be a good antioxidant and that works for me. I take a dosage of one capsule at bedtime, sometimes I have an empty stomach, sometimes not, but never had any stomach issues despite taking other supplements at the same time. The capsule size is larger but it’s not terribly huge and it’s easy to use and swallow. No side effects that I have noticed. I took off a star because the cost is a little more than similar products and that needs to be adjusted. I like it comes in a Ziplock bag that stands upright.

Easy to swallow and great addition to my daily routine
The astaxanthin supplements have been working great since I received them. They arrived quickly and were packaged well, and the zipper bag is easy to open. I like the softgels because the size and smooth texture are easy to swallow for me. I take them daily with some of my other supplements, and I think they are working. It’s hard to tell when adding supplements to my routine what is actually helping and what is not. I have not had any side effects after taking these supplements for a few weeks, and i don’t anticipate any issues or interactions with my other supplements. Being proactive about my health
I’ve been taking these HUALIJIA Astaxanthin Softgels every morning for about a month now. I take one with a glass of water at breakfast along with a few of my other supplements, and they’re very easy to swallow. I don’t notice any particular taste, aftertaste or side effects either. I’m pretty intentional about the supplements I take because I want to be proactive about my health as I am getting older. Having a loved one who is dealing with cognitive and heart issues has made me more aware of how important it is to look after myself and the things I can control. I take various vitamins and supplements that may help support me in those in those areas, and I thought astaxanthin would be a good addition because of its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Although the product title shows the name of the seller as the brand, this is actually the same AcentialLabs brand that I’ve been getting nearly all of my astaxanthin supplements from. The actual product has the familiar brand name shown on the bag and is identical in every way to my other ones. This also happens to be the most popular brand of astaxanthin on Amazon as this same red on white packaging shows up on more than half of the Amazon search results for astaxanthin.I take astaxanthin for its incredibly powerful antioxidant support. It’s more commonly known for supporting skin health and joint health for pain relief, but some studies also suggest it may help improve energy level by reducing fatigue.The quality should be just as good as the others, as the softgels are identical in shape, size, and color. They are very small and very easy to swallow. Like the other bags I’ve received from this brand, this one has an expiration date that’s 3 years out with a very fresh manufacturing date.The value at the current price is good, but there are lower priced ones for this exact same bag from other sellers that can easily be found on Amazon. So I’d get the cheapest one available as these are all basically the same product sold by different sellers.

This HUALIJIA Astaxanthin 12mg, 120 softgel package is an excellent value for your money. This is a 4 month supply. Astaxanthin is a strong antioxidant that is a great supplement to my diet. You will not notice results overnight. Adding this supplement has a cumulative effect. I have not noticed any side effects. The softgels are easy to swallow and have no aftertaste. I would recommend.

Watch out for side effects!
These very well-priced supplements come in a resealable bag to maintain freshness. The packaging and product seem professional and of sound quality. The directions are clear. They are taken once daily. This means that the package lasts 4 months if taken as directed. There is no smell or taste to these black (originally red) capsules that are small and easy to swallow. I developed abdominal discomfort and notable diarrhea after taking these for a few days, so I had to ease off for a while. My symptoms resolved and after a few days’ break, I tried it again with breakfast and got abdominal cramps 2 hours later and diarrhea again the next day. Apparently, they are absorbed best (& so easier to tolerate) with fatty meals, which I don’t get much of with my diet. If they were not in capsule form, I would cut them in half for a smaller dose. Note that the supplements contain (calorie-dense) sunflower seed oil, which is a good source of E. I have not noticed any changes to my skin or energy levels or other benefits, (except for the “cleanse” of my GI tract) but I never expect to with supplements. I take them with the hope that they are doing something beneficial.
