I’ve been interested in adding chlorella to my supplement routine, but I really don’t want to deal with green powder and mixing it into drinks or smoothies every day. These tablets make it much easier. I can just take them along with my other supplements and be done with it. The tablets are fairly small, and I haven’t had any trouble swallowing them.I also like that this is a very straightforward supplement. It’s organic chlorella rather than a blend with a long list of other ingredients that I may or may not want. It’s also organic, vegan, non-GMO and gluten-free, all of which I appreciate when I’m choosing a supplement.There are 240 tablets in the bottle, so it initially looks like an enormous supply. Just be aware that the 1,000 mg listed is the amount per serving rather than per tablet. The suggested serving is four tablets, so the bottle works out to 60 servings. Even so, I think it’s a nice-sized bottle and having the dose already measured out in tablets is much more convenient for me than scooping out a powder.The tablets do have the natural green appearance you would expect from chlorella, but I haven’t found them unpleasant to take. I have had no negative side effects from taking this supplement. Since I’m swallowing them rather than drinking chlorella mixed into something, I’m also not left trying to disguise that algae/greens taste in a smoothie or juice.As far as the supplements effectiveness goes, I’m not going to claim that I’ve suddenly noticed dramatic changes from taking these. Recently got off the carnivore diet, and since I’d already started taking spirulina, I added chlorella into the mix hoping it’d help with immune support, cholesterol, and getting heavy metals out of my system. This one looked like a good quality product when I came across it.These are small tablets, easy to swallow with water.It’s also labeled as made in a GMP certified facility, which reassures me a bit.What I liked:- Chlorella and nothing else on the label, no binders or coatings- About 13 cents a day for a 60 day supply- USDA Organic seal with a named certifier on the label- Small tablets, easier to swallow than most chlorella I’ve come across- Vegan, no gluten, soy, milk, or artificial anythingThings to consider:- You have to take four tablets a day- No heavy metal test results anywhere- Species and country of origin never statedMakes sense for someone who wants a basic organic chlorella at the lowest price, or who already takes it and wants a cheaper refill. Skip it if you’re on warfarin without your doctor’s OK, since chlorella carries vitamin K, or you’re pregnant or nursing, per the label, or you want proof of heavy metal testing before swallowing algae.Overall this is a solid supplement, and the price is low enough that trying it isn’t much of a gamble. I’d definitely say it’s worth trying.
