Salty but good
This electrolyte powder gets you on the inside of your mouth with the salt profile, but it does give a noticeable jolt in hydration. The taste, other than the sodium factor is pretty good. It’s more than bearable. It mixes pretty well although there is a cloudiness to the drink where you can feel the added powder. For the hydration factor it’s worth it

I started using these electrolyte packets a few weeks ago, and I’ve really been enjoying them. I especially like having one after I’ve been working out on the treadmill and sweating because I feel noticeably more hydrated afterward than when I drink plain water alone. The individual packets are also really convenient since everything is already measured out and ready to mix. I like that I’m getting sodium along with potassium and magnesium, and that the formula is sugar-free. They’ve become a nice addition to my post-workout hydration, and so far I’ve been very happy with them.

If you are looking for a high sodium option that offers better value than the name brand like I was, this works well. The orange flavor is nice but is mostly overshadowed by the salt flavor. Although if you are looking to get 1,000 mg of salt in your drink you can expect to taste the salt. There have been times when I want a stronger orange flavor and less salty flavor. When I do, I have added a sugar-free orange flavored water drink enhancer that I picked up at the local big box store that’s a great value. That got me a sweeter, less salty tasting drink. It’s nice to be able to have it both ways depending on what I am wanting at the moment.I like that they included more than just the sodium. The addition of vitamin C, B vitamins, and other minerals makes this more well-rounded than some formulas. I especially like that they included 400mg of potassium, which is double compared to some formulas I have previously tried. They also included magnesium and calcium so they didn’t neglect any of the major minerals. Overall I am happy with the combination of nutrients and it works for my needs on my keto diet.

I recently read a book that you can get right here on Amazon called the salt fix. I learned so much about how important salt is to our bodies. Even animals seek out salt. It’s a really good read and I highly recommend it and this doctor goes in to detail about how a low salt diet can negatively impact the body. I’ve tried numerous different electrolyte packs. But this one has a higher sodium content than most that I’ve tried. You can actually taste the salt as it is a little saltier than the other brands. The other brands I had are just artificially sweetened so much that it’s too sweet and they focus on the sweetness more than the sodium. One of the positive side effects I got from taking this electrolyte is that I slept incredibly good last night. I tracked my sleep score on my Garmin fit watch. I rarely score in the 90s and I mean rarely. I scored a 90 even last night. I attribute to drinking one of these packets. It mixes well and don’t worry about the salty taste because as I learned in the salt fix book, we need salt. This is a great product and I highly recommend that everyone try it. I will be buying this on repeat!!

Well, this is what it says it is, it’s very salty and tastes like saltwater and only very vaguely of orange. I’d be inclined to add some allulose or other non caloric sweetener to make it more palatable. It does have some sucralose in the product but seemingly not much. When I added this to my water, it had no color but was initially cloudy, and became clear within a short span of time as the powder dissolved more fully into the water. I did use an electric coffee frother gadget to stir it in. pouring it into a water bottle of any sort and shaking it up would also be a good preparation method.I do like what a comprehensive electrolyte blend this offers, even a tiny bit of calcium, plus B vitamins, vitamin C and nicotinamide, an NAD+ precursor. The core of this product is a functional blend for when you need a strong electrolyte dose to stay hydrated and performing well in body and mind.This is a reasonable value relative to other electrolyte powders packaged in stick packs, which for some reason is treated as a premium product. But it is largely a straightforward, high potency blend of electrolyte salts, with only a slight nod to taste. That is going to be fine with some users who want the practical benefits of the product. To me it makes it more difficult to reach for this because I don’t enjoy it much.
