Best packaging I’ve ever seen and only 2 shells in
Right off the bat you’ll get the best freshness assured packaging you’ll ever see. Comes in a beautiful box with 2 8oz solid bricks of completely vacuum sealed kava powder, instructions and clip to reseal. I’ve never seen this and I’ve been buying powdered kavas off and on for 15 years and used to grow my own before that. I haven’t bought any in 2 or 3 years so if everyone is doing this then great. I love that fresh smell of kava. It’s nostalgic for me. This definitely smells fresh as powdered. Raw wet is a bit more earthy.Not knowing what strain of kava I’m getting(there’s many many) I made this per the instructions weaker side. 2tbsp/12oz but I made a half gallon worth with water and some mango aloe drink that was on sell at my local grocer that I filtered the aloe chunks out of.(figured I try it and not bad) Only 2 shells in and I’m in love again. Having drank all kinds of kava for 20+ years, I don’t see how anyone could be disappointed with this kava and company. The other brand I used to buy no longer sells so seeing this brand has their own farm and grows their own kava to sell as powders, I had to try them. 100% not disappointed. Will be my go to from now on unless the prices skyrocket again and I stop drinking again. Thanks Heritage Kava for an outstanding product.Edit: On the strength of this Kava. If you make it per instructions, it is strong. Too strong and you’ll get sleepy. I prefer social kava so I make enough to last a few hours of drinking without it making me want to go to sleep. My first batch kind of did but I took some caffeine to wake back up. To each their own. If you want sleepy, just make it strong per the instructions.

Seriously disappointed
Considering the price, you would think they could provide information on kavalactones content but they can’t. Needless to say, this stuff does not provide that calming effect of top notch kava’s. Seriously disappointed.

With this kava, I am able to use leveled tablespoons rather than heaping tablespoons to achieve proper effect. It takes about 5 to 6 minutes of kneading in a strainer bag, but the effects come on quickly and last for about an hour longer than other brands I’ve tried. Your mileage may vary, but I definitely recommend it!

I prefer balanced or heady kavas. This is definitely a heavy night time kava. If your looking for something strong to wind down, this is it. Much more potent than their regular kava they sell on here. I just wish they had a potent heady kava.
