Easy to take and long expiration date
I can’t speak to its benefits yet, as I just started taking this extract. What I can say is that this extract is easy to take. I poured a tablespoon amount into a glass of water and the extract was close to tasteless. It’s easy to just add to a glass of water during the day, without it altering the taste. I read elsewhere that the standard dose is around 500-1,000 mg, but the bottle doesn’t indicate how much extract is in a tablespoon. The bottle just states to take a tablespoon. I would have liked to know how much is in a tablespoon. The ingredients are minimal – vegetable glycerin, olive leaf extract and water. The listing indicates that this product is kosher but I don’t see a kosher symbol. The ingredients don’t really pose a kosher issue anyway. I like that the expiration date is far out – January 2027 in this case. Hopefully will see some benefits soon. Tip: I read elsewhere that those who suffer from oral herpes can apply this extract with a cotton ball to the area and it may help. I have also heard it can help with allergies. Other than that, it apparently has potential for many other conventional benefits, such as cardiovascular health, weight management, diabetes and antioxidant properties.

Unexpected
Wanted to try as a good anti microbial and anti viral for the gut. However it was unexpected. I expected a dark green but it is brown also expected a herbal olive taste but it is sweet & I am not a fan of that so hide it in a smoothie. The olive leaf extract ratio to the added glycerin, stated as 15.1 but also says extraction rate of 1000mg per serving. Note the glycerin content if you are sensitive. Recommended dose 1 Tbsp 2 to 3 times day. Tbh Ive only taken it once a day.

Not a fan of the flavor
I don’t care for the flavor of this at all. It tastes like sweetened medicine that you literally have to choke down. I was hoping that it would be a good addition to my supplement regimen but the taste is so unpleasant I don’t know if I will be able to continue using it. I don’t have any side effects from it, just really don’t care for the taste

Good Supplement for Health
Olive Leaf Liquid Extract by HERBAL GOODNESS is a good source of olive leaf. It has a neutral taste and can be stirred into water or juice. The dose listed on the label is 1 tablespoon. However, there is no listing of how many milligrams of the active ingredient is in the dose. I removed 1 star due to this lack of information.I ordered this supplement because I read that Olive leaf extract is a natural source of wellness with therapeutic properties that are:• gastroprotective (protects digestive system)• neuroprotective (protects central nervous system)• antimicrobial (inhibits microorganism growth)• anticancer (reduces risk of cancer)• anti-inflammatory (reduces risk of inflammation)• antinociceptive (reduces pain stimuli)• antioxidant (prevents oxidation or cell damage)This extract is fresh and has a long “use by” date. I’m happy with this product. I would change my star rating to a 5 if the manufacturer were to include milligram dosage on the label.

An Olive A Day…
Okay, so this isn’t specifically olive oil, but you do receive the health benefits of the olive leaves which is also very good for the body. Admittedly, it’s still a bit too soon for me yet to be able to fully tell how well this is going to work out for me, but, so far, so good.Because I have to be careful with my oil intake, I’m starting off with a tablespoon a day rather than the up to 3 tablespoons suggested. When I take in too many oils, I tend to end up spending too much time in my bathroom. Though the benefits of that are often helpful, it’s finding the good and safe balance that I need to work myself into. As of yet, that’s not been a problem for me with this olive leaf extract. Technically, this product does not contain any oil, but it does contain glycerin which is a humectant. Close enough for me to take it easy until I learn how much is right for my system. Was surprised at the taste of this. Expected it to taste akin to taking a spoonful of some sort of olive oil. Doesn’t really taste like that at all. More like some sort of tincture with a somewhat sweet edge. Can’t say that I enjoy the taste, but it’s really not bad at all either. I’d just as soon go for the straight spoonful than dilute this in water which only extends how much swallowing I have to do. Doesn’t leave you with a prolonged after taste either. You could probably add this to a smoothie and not really notice much at all.I know this will help to balance my digestive system, as well as provide me with plenty of support for my immune system, as well as good things for my cardiovascular system. If anything of note needs to be reported, I will come back to edit my review. I’m happy with this to date.

Great for Immunity & Heart Support
This is super easy to take and olive leaf extract offers support for heart, lungs & immunity. I received this 12oz bottle & It was super fresh & safety sealed. The instructions state to take 1 tablespoon with food up to three times per day. This product is a bit pricey, especially if you take it three times a day. If you do the math, there should be 24 tablespoons in 12oz which would last you 8 days if taken three times per day. Other than the cost, I like the benefits that this product offers me.This was sent to me as a part of the Amazon vine program and is provided for no cost but is considered income for tax purposes. My review is my personal assessment of the product and my goal is to give a complete and honest evaluation.

Mediterranean Diet GoodnessMediterranean Diet Goodness
After researching health benefits of olive leaf extract, I feel strongly that this product will benefit me in a variety of ways. The number one thing that drew me to this extract is that olive leaves are staples in the Mediterranean diet–a diet my GP has encouraged me to try based on my family’s health history and my predisposition to several diseases and ailments such as Alzheimer’s, PD, diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, cancer, osteoporosis, and upper respiratory infections.I chose this particular supplement because it has 15:1 ratio of olive leaf extract per serving making it a strong concentrate. (The extraction rate is 1000mg per serving, according to the label.) Olive leaves naturally contain oleuropein and the label itself notes that this extract contains 20% oleuropein. This is a strong antioxidant that has been used for centuries as a wide-spectrum antibiotic, anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal that is believed to be beneficial in fighting infections, herpes, psoriasis, and even chronic fatigue. There isn’t enough clinical research to back olive leaf extract itself, but after researching suggested changes to my diet, this is something I can immediately and easily ADD to my daily routine while I work on the larger picture to determine how to swap out decades-old staples for an overall healthier lifestyle.Packaged in a dark bottle, Herbal Goodness has created what seems to be an honest well-made supplement for people like me. (Dark bottles are recommended for all olive oils to keep them pure, and while the expiration date is four years out, it’s best to use an open bottle within six months.) Suggested use is 1 TBL 2-3 times each day but I’ve only been taking one serving a day at this time. It can be mixed in water or juice, though I’ve only taken straight doses and I believe it tastes like fresh honey. The 12 ounce bottle contains 23 servings and I’m waiting to see if I notice any changes–positive or negative–before I decide what amount suits me best.Though I’ve had none, there are possible side effects, and this supplement is likely not a good choice for people with low blood sugar or low blood pressure. Please do your research beforehand and, as with any supplement, it’s best practice to consult a physician to determine if this product is right for you.Herbal Goodness Original Olive Leaf 15x Liquid Extract is made in the USA, 3rd party certified, and they claim to use fair-trade practices. This product is Non-GMO, owned by women, and 10% of profits support the education of African girls.

Organic Olive Leaf but Too Much Glycerin in the FormulationOrganic Olive Leaf but Too Much Glycerin in the Formulation
This is a concentrated olive leaf extract solution. It is very sweet, and not in a great way, from the vegetable glycerin. The taste is slightly off putting. Also, I am not that thrilled about having almost an entire tablespoon of glycerin. According to a conversion chart, 1 g is 1/16 of a tablespoon. Since each serving has 1000 mg of olive leaf, I am guessing the other 15/16 are glycerin. I could be completely wrong here, but it does taste so strongly of glycerin, that there has to be a significant amount in it.Glycerin is not acceptable if you are on a ketogenic diet. It also is a humectant and can cause water weight gain as well as diarrhea. I would like to know the actual amount of volume and calories that the glycerin contributes per Tbs.I haven’t had any of the aforementioned issues, and I do like the fact that this is organic. I feel it did help me rally back when I was starting to feel under the weather, but I would prefer a lower glycerin formula or much less than a Tbs of extract required.
