This supplement has helped me with bloating and gas, but my situation is unique
To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much from this supplement. I do have bloating and gas almost all the time, which is to be expected with my medical history. Ten years ago, I had 20% of my pancreas removed because it appeared to be cancerous (it was not). Two years later I had my gall bladder removed. These two surgeries, from what I was told, could cause digestive problems unless I ate smaller meals with less fat. I try to maintain a balanced diet and avoid overeating, but with the two surgeries I still have moderate gas and bloating.To further complicate my situation, I have suffered from GERD for over 30 years and have been on a low dose of Omeprazole for over 15 years. The Omeprazole lowers my stomach acid and is taken primarily to help with heart burn.The single ingredient in this supplement is Pancreatin and is often given as a prescription to people with my history. However, the prescription strength is over 30 times the strength of this product even though this product claims to be four times more potent than other comparable OTC products. One thirtieth the strength is a big difference and was the reason I doubted this product would work for me.With all that said, I have been taking one capsule with each meal I’ve eaten for the past four days. (I literally take the capsule after I have already begun eating.) While the gas and bloating have not been completely eliminated, I can clearly see improvement. To put a percentage on how much improvement I’ve seen, I would say the problem has been reduced by about 80%. And, if there is a cumulative effect from taking this enzyme over a period of time (which my research indicates is possible), I could continue to see further improvements over the next few weeks.Sorry if this doesn’t help you with your particular situation, but my takeaway from this little trial is that if I had been a normal person with normal reasons for having gas and bloating, I think this product could have given me the relief I would have been looking for.

Elderly Intestines, Who Knew
Through a colonoscopy, I was recently diagnosed with internal hemorrhoids, and without sharing too much information, the effect is very uncomfortable because the hemorrhoids act as a blockage. The usual remedy is lots and lots of fiber, but that has a downside, because every one of the various kinds of fiber can interfere with the absorption of nutrients in different ways, and that’s one thing older people don’t need. I saw this supplement and read all the reviews I could get hold of–many hundreds!–and it seems to help people with exactly the same problem. I am taking the minimum dosage. The first pill I had a few cramps but after that I haven’t had any bad effects. I don’t know if I’m having any positive effects yet, because apparently the gut bacteria take a while to ramp up, and I still have days when things are less comfortable than I’d wish they were. You could try them, too.

Better value than another brand, works well
This is probably the fifth supplement that I have purchased from this company, and I’ve always had a good experience with them. They seem to really make high quality products. My husband has been taking digestive enzymes from a different company, but wanted to try these, and he is really happy with them. They have different ingredients from those he had been taking, but seem to work just as well. And these cost less, so another win. My husband finds the best results from taking digestive enzymes about 15 minutes before every meal, so cost is a real factor.
