Nice fine powder that is very versatile in its uses.
I think this is a great multi-use product. Personally, I’m using this product for my worm composting which is making my life a lot easier. This is a 2 lb bag, so I’ll be using this product for a good long time. The only drawback I’m finding is in the bag the product comes in. It has a single Ziploc and I think if it were a double or even triple Ziploc it would work much better. I’ll be putting mine in a glass container for the extended length of time I’m expecting to have this product and be using it. This product is a fine powder and so that makes using it easy because it coats everything. If I choose to get any more Quail I’ll be able to use this since this is of course a pet friendly product. I really appreciate the versatility aspect of this product as well, for different types of pets including pet birds, fowl, worms composting & gardening too. I’m very happy with this product.

Noticeable difference in eggs after a week of use
Calcifarm Calcium Carbonate Powder for Birds & Poultry (2LB). This arrived very quickly after placing my order. I mixed it into my chickens feed per the instructions. And I have definitely noticed over the last 7 days that their egg shells are hardening up. They had been soft enough that if you tried to wash the eggs they were just breaking in your hand almost instantly. This is helping my hens lay stronger eggs which makes it much easier to collect and store the eggs without breaking them and to wash the eggs before using them. I found this to be very easy to use. I think this is a very good value for the money. I am happy with this order.

Not just for Chickens
As my flock has gotten older, I’ve noticed the egg quality has diminished. I needed something to give them a needed boost to lay thicker shelled eggs. I was using an oyster shelled component that came as thick round rocks. The chickens aren’t too thrilled over that and will leave it when eating their food.At first, I thought this 2 lb. recloseable bag would not be enough to feed my birds for a while. I was wrong, this bag is ‘bigger’ than I thought. It’s easy enough to sprinkle on their lay crumbles, though the wild birds come flittering in and eat that. I have a ‘chum’ bucket I put table scraps in and bring out every day. The chickens voraciously eat the scraps within minutes of feeding them. So, I sprinkle some of this calcium limestone on the scraps and poof, gone. Chickens like it.Also discovered this bag can be used in the garden. My husband had an issue with one of his pepper plants. The remedy was a calcium boost in the form of limestone. Well, guess what I had on hand! This powder not only helps chickens with their eggs, but also garden issues.The price of this 2lb bag is worth the cost. Especially with it being powdered and easy to administer, not to mention the variety of uses this bag really has.

Easy way to add extra calcium for the flock
I like having a calcium supplement on hand for our poultry, especially for laying hens when eggshell quality starts telling you they may need a little extra support.This is 100% calcium carbonate without a bunch of unnecessary added ingredients. The powder is very fine, which makes it easy to mix evenly into feed instead of having larger pieces settle at the bottom or get picked around.The 2-pound container is also a good value for the money. Since you’re only using a relatively small amount at a time, there’s quite a bit of product here and it should last a good while for a typical backyard flock. Compared with buying smaller containers repeatedly, I think the larger size makes much more sense.I particularly like this for situations where I want to control exactly how much calcium is being added rather than guessing. Of course, calcium needs vary depending on whether you’re dealing with laying hens, growing birds, males, or other species, so I wouldn’t automatically add extra calcium to every bird’s diet unless they actually need it.Overall, it’s simple, easy to use, the birds accept it well, and you get a good amount for the price. For something that’s basically a staple poultry supplement, that’s exactly what I want.

I got this Happy Wings Calcifarm Calcium Carbonate Powder for my chickens. They refused to eat the one that is the size of rocks. Now I can easily use this product and mix it with their food. I saw some of my ducks and chickens giving me eggs that were almost soft instead of hard and I knew they badly need it calcium. This product works wonder for my pets. They now look healthy by giving me normal eggs. I like the price the most because it is only 9.99 for 2 pound which is cheaper that the rocks I still have that they refused to eat. This product is very affordable only 5 bucks per pound. This product seems it was made with great quality ingredients. My chickens and ducks never showed any bad side effects from this product. If you have pets that needs calcium badly i recommend this effective and wonderful calcium product.

Excellent Quality Calcium Supplement – Easy to Use – You get A LOT of it too
This is a finely ground calcium supplement for birds – and you get a good bit of it for very little money. We use this to keep our backyard birds healthy as bluebirds can eat a majority of their diet from our dried mealworms, so these help to keep them healthy especially during the egg laying season. This calcium supplement is very easy to use I’ve found, I just open the bag and pour a small amount into the food. I mix that up in an old container from our recycle bin and then feed to the birds – super easy. I would buy this again and would recommend it to others! Our birds seem to not mind it at all and still eat as usual when their food is lightly dusted with this.Make sure to not over calcium your birds, ha! That can happen too, so just make sure you’re not using too much.

This Happy Wings Calcifarm Calcium Carbonate powder for birds and poultry is 2 pounds and just what I was looking for! Our ladies eggs are not as strong as they used to be and a few days ago I put my finger right through one just picking it up, so hopefully this will help to strengthen their egg shells. I love the fact that this is 100% calcium carbonate without anything extra added. I would say this is definitely a good value for the money because you don’t use that much at once. This calcium powder is easy to mix with their food every day. I am very grateful that I found this for my chickens before the eggs got any worse. This bag that it is in is also very durable, hopefully your chickens will enjoy this treat!
