Great Chocolate Flavor and Mixes Easily
I’ve used quite a few whey protein powders over the years, and GNC’s Pro Performance Whey 2.0 checks all the important boxes for me. Each scoop provides 25 grams of protein, making it an easy way to increase my daily protein intake without adding another complicated supplement to my routine.The Chocolate Supreme flavor is very good. It has a rich chocolate taste without being excessively sweet, and it’s enjoyable mixed with either water or milk. More importantly, it mixes easily without leaving a bunch of stubborn clumps at the bottom of the shaker.I also like that whey naturally provides all nine essential amino acids, including BCAAs, so this works well after a workout or simply as an additional source of protein during the day.The powder has a smooth consistency once mixed and doesn’t have the gritty texture or unpleasant aftertaste I’ve encountered with some protein powders.Overall, this is exactly what I expect from a GNC protein product: good flavor, easy mixing, a solid 25 grams of protein per serving, and a straightforward formula from an established sports nutrition brand. 25g Whey Isolate & Concentrate chocolate protein drink mix
GNC Pro Performance 100% Whey 2.0 uses 65% whey isolate & 35% whey concentrate that mixed really well and produced a smooth & creamy consistency using only my shaker cup.. The artificial sweetener sucralose gives it a very sweet flavor but i enjoyed the flavor overall when added to my morning coffee. I liked that i could leave this premixed in my refrigerator overnight and with a few shakes in the morning it was as smooth, creamy and as tasty as when first mixed. I like & trust GNC as a national brand for supplements that have been in the business for a very long time. Only downside is you pay a premium price for the name brand compared to alternatives.

It blends easily in a standard shaker bottle with minimal effort and doesn’t leave a large amount of undissolved powder stuck to the bottom. The texture is smooth rather than chalky or gritty, which makes a big difference if this is something you plan on drinking regularly.I also like the versatility. In addition to making regular protein shakes, the chocolate flavor works well blended with a banana, peanut butter, oatmeal, yogurt, or other smoothie ingredients. This makes it easy to add extra protein to meals and snacks without always having to drink the exact same shake.The whey-based formula is particularly convenient following a workout when preparing a full meal isn’t practical. Disappointing Chocolate Flavor
The biggest issue for me with this protein is the taste. The chocolate flavor is very artificial and noticeably bitter. It’s something I can drink, but definitely not something I enjoy drinking. I’ve tried a lot of chocolate protein powders over the years, and this is honestly one of the poorer chocolate flavors I’ve had. It’s not undrinkable, but there are plenty of better-tasting options.The formula is otherwise okay. It provides 25g of protein per scoop from whey isolate and concentrate, and it mixes easily without any problems. I do find the amount of added gums and thickeners a little excessive for my preference, though, so the ingredient list isn’t particularly appealing to me.I’ll finish the bag because it’s perfectly usable and the protein itself is fine, but based on my experience with the flavor and formula, I wouldn’t choose to buy it again unless the price made it particularly compelling.

Tastes Pretty Good, Mixes Easily, Definitely Pricey!
While I love that each serving has 25 grams of protein, I don’t love that there are only 12 servings in the bag, and that each bag is more than $25. That, coupled with the cloying sweetness of non-nutritive sweeteners are the only reasons that I can’t give 5 stars. Now as far as the chocolate taste of the powder goes, it is absolutely delicious. It doesn’t have a metallic taste that I notice a lot of chocolate protein powders seem to have. I mixed mine with cold water in a shaker cup. I tried the first time with no mixer parts, and it was fine. This powder quickly, easily, and fully dissolves, simply from shaking it alone. I liked that it was more watery, as some powders can be too thick and almost gel-like. If you have the money to spare, give this a try!

High concentration, low calorie protein with a silky chocolate finish
I love protein shakes, but I like to have extra protein without overpowering any of the flavors I love in the perfect mix I’ve found. I use the banana isopure usually, but this product is perfect for adding an extra scoop of protein without overpowering the other flavors I add to the shake besides the banana. The extra scoop of this subtle but rich chocolate powder is exactly what my shakes needed. It gives the shakes a thicker texture, which I love, without affecting the flavor too much (it actually adds a nice little chocolatey hint to the PB and banana, which is delicate but noticeably pleasant), without making a slimy texture like the xantham gum I used to use. Not chalky, not grainy, dissolves fully and with no extra mixing time needed. No unnecessary filler ingredients. Great value at about $3 per serving. The serving size is perfectly balanced for a single full chocolate shake, and a half-serving works perfectly for my pb banana mix. Love this product for the little extra protein boost at 25 grams protein for only 120 added calories without affecting my favorite shake negatively.

Extremely disappointed in both taste and quality
I ordered the GNC Pro Performance Chocolate Supreme powder as a supplement for in between meals as an added protein. Being a GNC product I thought I could not go wrong. I was sadly mistaken. The taste was awful! My husband and I tried our best to drink it, there was no way. Then there was such a chemical after taste. It was so disappointing.It did not dissolve when being stirred with a spoon or fork, so I used a blender. It did whip up thick and smooth. Very deceiving by looking at it. When I washed the blender the chocolate residue was like solid rock. I had to soak in how soapy water, then scraped off. And this is meant to go inside our bodies,? I am glad we were not able to drink this nasty Pro Performance drink. I will not be trying any GNC drink products in the future, this was such a disappointment.
