Interesting Korean Black Ginseng Tonic
This is an interesting Korean black ginseng tonic. It comes in a large, highly presentable, gold-over-black box. Within the box are 6 smaller boxes each containing 5 foil pouches of the tonic, for a total of 30 pouches. Each pouch is 50ml of the tonic. It is pretty easy to drink down. The flavor is decent and has the ginseng taste to it. Not the best taste and not the worst neither. It is watery and lightly sweet.The only negative is I have with this tonic that I don’t feel an energy boost that I normally do when I take a ginseng product. Not sure how much ginseng is actually in it. It doesn’t mention the amount of ginsenosides anywhere in the packaging.The ingredients are Korean black ginseng concentrate, purified water, Korean red ginseng mixed extract, herb extract, jujube concentrate, cornus fruit concentrate, vitamin C and citric acid.The product I received has an expiration date of 27 months from now. Overall, I quite like it. It is easy to drink down and the flavor is not bad. Actually, I like it better when chilled. It definitely has ginseng in it but apparently not enough for me to sense an energy boost. Your mileage may vary though.

I had never heard of black ginseng before, but I guess it is a new thing with ginseng these days. I know about red ginseng, however. According to the description on the product page, black ginseng has a higher absorption rate than white or red ginseng. Anyhow, the package or the box that contains 30 pouches came in a well designed and carefully packaged box. By the look of the packaging design, I could tell this set is not a cheaply made product. Each pouch has about 50 ml (little over a shot glass size) of black ginseng tonic, which is a dark brown color. The taste is decent from ginseng tonic drinker’s point of view, but I am sure there will be some who will not like the tastes. I would describe as not sweet, not bitter, and not fruity. There is a hint of date (jujube) juice flavor as well. This ginseng is not as strong as I had hoped, but it is drinkable as a shot and does not taste disgusting or anything. Overall, this ginseng tonic is not bad. I do not know if I ever could get an immediate effect from drinking one shot (probably not), but usually I take this kind of ginseng drink for improving energy level and overall health, anticipating effectiveness will come gradually over a long period of time. I am almost done with the whole box and have been taking one or two pouches per day. There were days I felt extremely exhausted, and some days were energetic. I did not see the quick change in my energy level after drinking one ginseng tonic, but as far as my mood and energy over the past several weeks, I feel better and balanced. I am sure it probably takes double dose consumption everyday over a year or more to see the significant changes or improvement, but for now, even just for the feel of it, I know this ginseng tonic is good stuff for me.

This stuff is great! I’ve been a believer in the benefits of ginseng for many years, and think GeumHeuk’s Korean Black Ginseng Tonic is a great product. After taking these regularly for several days, I noticed an improvement in both my physical and mental health. I feel more relaxed and energetic and am sharper and clearer.The addition of the ingredients Jujube and Cornus fruit seem to synergize with the black ginseng to provide an amazing tonic. I love drinking it straight, but it can be mixed into other liquids if the flavor isn’t our thing. Yummy, surprisingly
This GeumHeuk black ginseng tonic is smooth and lightly sweet, surprisingly easy to drink. It’s a tonic and not a medicine or energy drink, so I don’t expect a noticeable change right away. It uses jujube berries to sweeten it, which is supposed to work very well with ginseng in the body. Even though it tastes sweet, I like that the net sugar per pack is only 3 grams. I wanted to know how much ginseng was in it, and it looks like it’s indicated in the Korean section but not in the English section. I recommend the manufacturer include those percentages into the English translation section as well.The packaging looks grand even without any spectacular material, as everything is black and gold. The outer box is the shipping box that gets the address label on it – as in, my address is on the outer box – so you should consider giving the outer box as part of the gift only if you are comfortable with your delivery address and label on it. Inside are 6 smaller boxes.

Not sure how much Ginseng is in each pouch, not that potent
First off, this Korean Black Ginseng Tonic Plus from GeumHeuk arrives in a massive box. I was caught off-guard by this, the presentation really is something. The box is well made, and just, large. The packaging makes a statement! The box measures about 21” x 10” x 2”. Within the box are 6 smaller boxes, and within each of those smaller boxes are 5 pouches of the Ginseng Tonic. So, total, there are 30 pouches of Ginseng Tonic.GeumHeuk, I’ve used a few of their other Black Ginseng products. Their Black Ginseng Tea is very nice, and their Black Ginseng capsules are alright, but I prefer their tea over the capsules. Now, after trying this tonic for a while, it’s alright, I taste some Ginseng in there, but it’s not as nice of a Black Ginseng product as I found their tea or capsules to be.When I look over the main box, the smaller boxes, the pouches, there is a list of ingredients, however I cannot find anything, even this product listing, where it mentions how much Black Ginseng is in each pouch of tonic. I like to know about how many mg, or g of Ginseng I am consuming. The recommendation on the package is to consume 1-2 pouches a day. I’ve had 2 a day, and, I just don’t notice too much from it.The pouches have a notch in them so one can tear them open, but be careful so as to not spill the contents anyplace. The tonic liquid is thin, much like water. It’s a little bit cumbersome to drink from the pouch, not as easy as those ginseng tonics packaged in small bottles. The taste is sweet, much like other ginseng tonics I’ve had. I taste a bit of ginseng in there, so it’s in the tonic… Compared to other Ginseng I have around here, this Black Ginseng Tonic Plus doesn’t give me much of a boost.Overall, the presentation is very nice, the box makes a statement, very presentable as a gift. The tonic liquid, though, I just don’t get a lot from it. GeumHeuk, they have other Black Ginseng products I notice a bit more from, this tonic though, it’s a bit weak for me.
