A Great Ginger Glycerite
I got this ginger product because I use ginger as part of my herbal routine, particularly for digestive support. One thing I want to clarify is that although the product is labeled as a “tincture,” this is actually a glycerite. A true tincture is an herbal preparation that uses alcohol as the solvent for extraction. This product contains no alcohol. The ingredients are ginger root, vegetable glycerin, and distilled water.The glycerin gives it a naturally sweet taste, which I actually really like. I’m definitely a fan of the flavor, especially compared with some herbal preparations that can be quite unpleasant.It comes in a nice amber glass bottle, which I appreciate because herbal preparations should be protected from direct sunlight, and amber glass helps with that.Ginger is an aromatic and warming herb that I personally use for digestive support. I’ve been using this when I’m experiencing an upset stomach, gas, or bloating, and I really enjoy having it on hand.I’m very pleased with this product. I’ll stick to fresh ginger root
I’ve always enjoyed the taste of ginger and add ginger root to teas, mineral water, homemade ginger lemonade, and other beverages regularly. I ordered this thinking it would be easier to use when I’m in a hurry and want to add a splash of ginger to something without the work of preparing the root itself. Maybe because I’m used to the much stronger flavor from freshly prepared ginger root, this just doesn’t seem very strong to me. When I try it directly from the dropper, I mostly taste the sweetness of the vegetable glycerin with a subtle hint of ginger. I’ve tried adding it to teas and cocktails and it is pleasant, but to me it is not a satisfyingly strong enough ginger flavor to convince me to use it regularly. I do appreciate that it is organic, doesn’t have a lot of other additives, comes in a glass bottle, and has a measured dropper, but I question the value of this product at the current price of nearly $13 for a 2 oz. bottle considering that ginger root is typically not very expensive. I don’t think it’s a bad product, just not a ginger root replacement for me.

Excellent taste, great for stomach upset or as a supplement
Excellent ginger tincture for many uses. Came packaged in a glass bottle and plastic wrap sealed. I like that it is free of sweetners and less pungent that some others I have tried. It is slightly sweet (as ginger naturally is) but doesn’t taste like candied ginger. The strength is good for recipes, but also works well for a sour stomach. Since it isn’t combined with a bunch of supplements, it is great for most uses. A squirt under your tongue is a good nutritional and energy bump.The product is excellent – the only issue I ran into was a defective eyedropper in the bottle which would not suck up the liquid when the ball of squeezed. I ended up having to use an existing dropper. The actual tincture is very high quality, otherwise.
