My 300 mg bottle of St John’s wort works better than this! I’m not sure how you managed to kill all of the medical properties in your capsules, but you have. I took 5 of your capsules and still it didn’t calm the anxiety associated with menopause but a single 300 mg capsule does. I will go back to the brands I actually trust.

(Update) – I upped the dosage to eight capsules and still not enough. Tossed this product and just switched to another that has worked in the past. I also took one of these capsules apart and it did not smell like St John’s Wort usually does, a pleasant herbal fragrance. I’m not sure what it smelled like – maybe a filler, somewhat familiar but not like other products that have worked. Extremely fine grayish powder with white and lighter-gray flecks. Anyway, if there’s any SJW in these I’m now convinced it’s very little.–As per the label, three capsules are supposed to be a 600 mg dose equivalent of 20:1 extract. I’ve been taking St. John’s Wort for about a decade and find 900 mg a day (20:1 extract equivalent) is about right for me – with other brands that work. Less than that doesn’t sufficiently buoy my mood, and I feel it within 2-3 days. Anyway, five capsules of this should be more than enough – equivalent of 1000 mg 20:1 extract – right? It’s not. I’m confident enough to say at this point: **this stuff is not as strong as advertised.** That means the 900 mg effective dose I need is, at 0.03/capsule (what my order cost), a total of 0.21-0.24/day (7-8 capsules), the same net cost/day as at least a few other products. I thought I was getting a less-expensive St. John’s Wort in this product, and it appears not.

I have seen a few bad reviews about this product I am here to tell you not to believe them, I have been taking St. Johns Wort for about 30 years, and I know the positive effects of it and believe me this is very potent and high quality, buy with confidence I highly recommend this product but I only take one at a time because they are very strong and will put you in a good, relaxed mood very quickly!
