Fermentaholics Elderberry Syrup Making Kit arrived quickly and as described.I love that everything you need is included (even the cheesecloth to strain your syrup!), and the directions are easy to follow.I appreciate that the ingredients are organic, and that the honey is separate: I am alergic to honey, so could easily swap it for maple syrup.At the time of this review this kit is very reasonably priced and I’d recommend it without hesitation.

Looks as advertised. Everything was well packaged and came with all the items you need to make the syrup. Instructions are easy to follow. Perfect for someone who want to try making their own organic syrups at home. The company also offers Kombucha/Cheese/pickling kits which sound interesting. Would recommend.

I love this product and Fermentaholics! The directions are easy to follow and straightforward. Do note; the recipe calls for 12 ounces of organic honey and the kit only provides 8 ounces of organic honey. For myself, this isn’t a problem. I think 8 ounces is fine, if I want more, I have organic honey from around the world on hand to add as necessary. The uses for this product are seemingly endless. You can add additional herbs to help with cold and flu symptoms throughout the winter, such as mullein, echinacea, etc…or add it to chamomile tea with some mint. You can use it on pancakes, oatmeal, or anything really. The ingredients are all high quality, and the health benefits are wonderful for the winter months. The syrup isn’t overly thin, and can be made even thicker with more honey, depending on your taste. The texture is smooth as long as your honey isn’t crystallizing. Pure, quality honey will crystallize quicker than what you buy in the grocery store. You do not want to microwave it with this happens as that will destroy the health benefits of the honey. Simply allow your warm tea to dissolve the crystals or place the bottle in warm water for a bit. It’s smells divine. To me, it’s a good value for the money because of all the herbs they add in with the elderberries. You don’t have to source all the other herbs yourself. I’m an herbalist, so I have everything on hand to make it, but I wanted to gift these for Christmas, so I ordered a kit to sample first. Unfortunately, my kitchen remodel was delayed due to two deaths in the family and I’m quite late in even sampling the product.The product is worth every penny. Especially when you consider the price of a16-ounce bottle of OTC cold medicine that is full of garbage and nowhere near the quality of healthy ingredients this kit provides. The ease of preparation, convenience, flavor, additions you can make, etc. are all icing on the cake.I will be ordering several of these kits due to the premeasured and combined ingredients. The shelf life of the unprepared kit is 17 months from the time I received it. Once prepared, the syrup can be poured into a Mason Jar and kept in the fridge for 6 months (if it lasts that long). Being able to infuse additional herbs into the base blend is a huge bonus. Since my herbs are scrambled throughout my home at this point and will be for a few more months, this is an ideal solution for me. I highly recommend this company and this product.

What a fun and delicious kit!
I had never had elderberry syrup before, so when I saw this kit figured it would be a wonderful way to try i,t and have some fun at the same time.This kit contains everything you need–except your kitchenware, of course. The instructions are simple and straightforward. I just made this last night and thoroughly enjoyed the process. It was very easy, to make and the resulting syrup is delicious. For some reason the flavor makes me think of Christmas. This syrup can be used for so many things. So far I’ve added it to my collagen drink, topped my oatmeal and added it to tea. It can also be taken straight. I actually like it straight very much.This came very nicely packaged in a cute burlap bag, making it perfect for gift giving.

Excellent set with quality ingredients! The honey itself is exceptional
This is a complete set in a Fermentaholics logo bag which can be repurposed. I have to admit when I saw the honey I opened it right away to taste it! It’s exceptionally delicious and tastes fresh. Making your own elderberry syrup is far easier than expected and is really just a combination of the dry ingredients heated, cooled, then strained, and then add the honey. Perfect on pancakes or on its own as a glaze for oats or similar. It’s delicious but I maintain that honey is the star! Absolutely a wonderful kit for yourself or to give as a gift. Highly recommend.
