Finest micronization I have ever seen

In the early days of powdered creatine, you had to use a blender to avoid a gritty taste and an upset stomach. To avoid stomach distress and waste of the product, creatine must mix well. The advent of “micronized” creatine mostly solved this problem, but there are differing degrees of micronization. When done extremely well, you end up with a powder that consists of small bits of fluff. That’s what this Emerald Labs German Creatine Monohydrate Micronized Powder is.When I opened the tub, I didn’t see “smaller than normal” crystals, I saw creatine where the crystals are so small they form very loose, fluffy clumps. These loose fluffy clumps instantly break into tiny particles when they hit the water, and those particles then dissolve quickly with a little vigorous stirring. Many creatine products, created in an attempt to stand out from regular creatine, consist of unwanted things such as sugar, artificial flavors, and artificial colors. Or some other supplement that doesn’t actually stack with creatine. There are even creatine gummies. This Emerald Labs German Creatine Monohydrate Micronized Powder is just creatine. It doesn’t have any “proprietary blend” or sugar, etc., added to it. And there is not a picture of a steroid-using bodybuilder on the container. This product is ideal for serious athletes who know their supplements and want them straight up.It’s important to remember that creatine isn’t an andro supplement. It doesn’t grow your muscles. It doesn’t “do” anything, other than take up water into your muscles. This effect helps you get rid of waste faster, but there is another benefit that it provides. Once taken up into the muscles, it’s available to easily be broken down into ATP (the fuel for muscle contraction). Thus, you can train much harder. The creatine itself isn’t acting on anything, but you are able to “act” due to the creatine. Someone using creatine can do four sets instead of three, stack sets, and take shorter rests; this means all three inputs to the adaptive response (cellular damage, metabolic stress, and time under tension) are increased. Which, if you don’t mess things up by taking a sugary creatine product or a 40G whey shake after your workout, your testosterone rises and several other good things happen. What is the timing on creatine? As long as it’s in your system when you go to train or perform, you are all set. If you consume creatine within 30 minutes of an intense effort, you might find yourself throwing up because that also means drinking a lot of water just before the exertion. Consume small amounts of creatine at various times throughout the day, just not right before the performance or workout.

High Quality creatine from a European source.

To be clear, I have not been a creatine user until receiving this supplement to review. I have been taking a lot of other supplements for decades (I am 75) and once sold them (MLM Shaklee). In reviewing this supplement I did a bunch research and base this recommendation on a number of factors:1. Emerald Labs is a 25-year-old California company with a good reputation and many, many products.2. Creatine is a popular supplement with the muscle-building community and there are as many as 66,000 studies of its effectiveness.3. Many doctors recommend in combination with an exercise program.4. It is growing in popularity with the retired community, working with doctor’s advice and weight devices, can assist in stopping muscle loss.5. This supplement is a single ingredient, manufactured in Germany, formulated by a physician there, and patented for its purity, etc. The micronized aspect makes it easier to digest and be used by the body.6. It is tasteless and I am using it with water and can’t tell its in the water, so you could take it with most liquids.7. My pharmacist tells me that it can be effective if taken with medical supervision and consistently, as creatine is a substance humans make, but sometimes need more. Much of our natural creatine derives from animal sources, but this creatine is vegan, meaning that vegetarians can use it with their diet.8. It is fairly pricey per recommended dose, but may be worth it if you want the high quality German version that is also vegan and micronized.

    Excellent creatine supplement

I am an older woman who is concerned about preserving muscle mass as I work on building it. I used to workout regularly but with work and family, I put it to the side. Last November I made a promise to myself to start lifting weights regularly and I having read how creatine has many benefits, including supporting muscle strength, recovery and growth, I decided to start taking creatine regularly. I started with another product that had flavor, however, as I have been paying more attention to ingredients, I find that I prefer to take and purchase supplements that are unflavored. I have just started taking this product so it’s hard to tout its effectiveness quite yet, but the claims on the site are very consistent with what I have read elsewhere, and after doing some light research into the company, I find that the results will be subtle, which is fine with me. The powder is very fine and I find it easy to mix into my kefir, and it doesn’t affect the taste of my kefir either. I think this product (and quality creatine as a whole) helps my muscles recover, as long as I also listen to my body and not overdue it. As for price, I find it a good value for my money as it is a high quality creatine and quality is worth paying for, especially one that has no added ingredients. I highly recommend this product.

    Good stuff

I’m in my 50s and use creatine daily for muscular and neurological benefits. I’m 115 lbs and use 5-10mg. It’s tasteless, making it easy to use. I mix it into coffee, smoothies and sometimes just a plain old cup of h20. Make sure to drink plenty of water. The only side effect I’ve experienced is mild dehydration when not drinking enough water and bloating at higher doses until my body got used to it.It’s pricey creatine, due to its use of Creapure, which is known for its high purity and strict German manufacturing standards. Most budget creatines use generic creatine monohydrate from various global suppliers. Creapure is one of the few branded forms with consistent third‑party testing and a reputation for extremely low impurity levels..>>>>Deep dive<<<<Fluffy Texture: This usually indicates a micronized powder. The particles are milled much finer than standard creatine, which prevents that sand at the bottom of the glass issue.Effective & Clean: Since it's pure monohydrate, it is the most researched form of creatine available. It’s highly effective for ATP (energy) production and muscle hydration without the need for unnecessary fillers or proprietary blends.Best Results- Consistency over Timing: It doesn't matter much when you take it, as long as you take it every day to keep your muscle stores saturated. From my understanding, the brain gets what's left over, which is extremely important as we age.Hydration is key: Creatine pulls water into the muscle cells, so you MUST icrease your daily water intake. No Loading Phase Needed: While some people do a loading phase, taking a standard 3–5g dose daily will get you to the same saturation point within about three weeks with less risk of bloating digestive upset.

    Superfine pure creatine

This Emerald Labs German Creatine Monohydrate Micronized Powder – Supports Muscle, Brain & Immune Health – Doctor-Formulated, Vegan, Non-GMO, Gluten-Free, No Additives – 5000mg per Serving, 30 Servings is the closest to palatable as I’ve come when trying creatine supplements. The fine micronization results in a white powder that basically dissolves and doesn’t clump, making this a formulation you can take with just plain water without any gritty feel/taste. There are no additives, sugar, or other flavorings. It’s a bit pricier than other supplements, but it is pure creatine and very finely milled, so if that’s what you want, this is a great choice.

High Purity Creatine Powder, 5000mg (5g) per serving, 30 day supplyHigh Purity Creatine Powder, 5000mg (5g) per serving, 30 day supply

I began taking Creatine daily when I had shoulder surgery a few months ago. This product from Emerald Labs is German Creatine which is the highest purity on the market and deemed to be superior for digestion compared to other creatine products. This is my first time using a powder version and first product I’ve ordered from Emerald Labs. The powder has the consistency of flour, there is no odor or taste. It dissolves completely and quickly. I mixed with a shot of orange juice and you can see the results pictured. The container provides approximately 30 servings with recommendation of once daily. Emerald Labs’ is based in California and their products are available in retail outlets in addition to online.I suggest you go to their website, emeraldlabs.com, and watch the video “about emerald labs”. It will provide insight to the company, the founder and his mission. Watching this video gave me confidence in the company! What I like: This is pure German creatine powder, no additives. They provide the scoop inside the canister and one scoop is equivalent to 5g of creatine. No odor, no taste, easily dissolves. I mixed it with orange juice and could not discern any chalky texture in the drink. Other than a little color variation I could not tell it was mixed in.The container is double sealed, with a cellophane wrapper on the outside and an inner seal over the opening. The outer seal was ineffective and easily came off without having to remove it first. This was my only concern but since the inner seal was intact I felt it should be fine. The scoop needs to be dug out of the powder but it’s in there.Vs. using a gelcap the powder is kinda messy; I could have handled it better and will going forward.Five stars – They are providing a superior product and I will not hesitate to be a repeat customer of Emerald Labs.

    Premium productPremium product

This source for creatine is superb.30 servings of 5000mg coming in a little under 30 bucks isn’t exactly inexpensive, but the high standards set by the German creatine product along with the premium powder quality make this a great value. The texture is incredibly fine and uniform and dissolves both easier and faster than any other creatine powder I’ve used. This powder mixes quick into juices, foods, or plain water. I really appreciate that this has basically no taste. It does not change up whatever you mix it into. Many other creatine products have various sweeteners and flavors that seem to be trying to make everything taste like fruit punch. This powder can be slipped easily into your daily routine without messing up the taste of your drink or foods. After consuming this product a few times a week for about 3 weeks, I definitely believe I can sense improvement in my muscle recovery from fitness walking and cycling. I feel good using this product.

Clean, simple creatine that mixes wellClean, simple creatine that mixes well

I picked up this Emerald Labs creatine monohydrate because I prefer supplements with minimal and clean ingredients. This one is exactly that, with no additives or fillers, just pure creatine monohydrate. They also state that it is sourced from Germany, which may matter to some buyers, although I cannot personally say whether that makes a noticeable difference compared to other options. One thing I did notice right away is how well it mixes. It dissolves very easily in water without clumping or leaving much residue behind. It is also completely unflavored, which makes it easy to add to any drink without affecting taste. The texture of the powder is extremely light and almost static-like. When scooping, fine particles tend to float up and can stick to the scoop or container, so it can get a little messy if you are not careful.Just as important, I have not experienced any stomach discomfort or bloating while using it, which can sometimes happen with other creatine products. In terms of results, I have incorporated it into my regular workout routine, but I have not noticed any significant physical changes so far. That said, creatine is typically something that works over time, so I plan to continue using it as part of my weightlifting regimen.Overall, if you are looking for a straightforward, no frills creatine with clean ingredients and good mixability, this is a solid option.
