This the kind of iodine you take in drops, by mouth. It’s taken to protect and boost your thyroid, especially after exposure to radiation. It also boosts your immunity and general health. Also, iodine is essential to life.In the body, this nascent iodine is likely to combine with potassium, which forms potassium iodide – you may have heard of that.I am careful not to take too much. I take about 1 drop a day, and if I feel like I’m coming down with something, I’ll take up to 5 drops, and then stop for a few days.You get 2 bottles, each 1 oz., of iodine in your order for your $36, which is fairly pricey – there are less expensive options out there, including for potassium iodide. However, this is a 100% USA product.

Very Good Supplement
Earlier I reviewed another liquid iodine supplement and the dosage was drastically different from this one. I have since done a considerable amount of research on how much iodine a grown adult should take daily and it turns out to be pretty high – around 3,000 mcg. This liquid iodine will supply 2694 mcg in 6 drops, which is what it recommends. I put 7 drops in my beverage to up the dosage a little. I think this is an excellent iodine supplement. The one I reviewed earlier had a dosage of only 150mcg which is what the FDA recommends, but I have many times learned that the FDA daily amounts of various vitamins are woefully inadequate. I checked with medical Drs. and watched a lot health videos on Youtube and really feel that the 3,000mcg/day is very good. The Japanese ingest a lot more than 3,000 mcg/day in their high seafood diet. Also any excess iodine is simply excreted by the body.

Useful for thyroid support
My wife was very interested in this product since she has some minor thyroid issues. Overall, she is very happy with this product! She is vegetarian/vegan, so the fact that the E2H Company supports her health choices is a bonus. She has been using 1 drop/day in herbal tea for thyroid support. She says she hasn’t noticed any side effects so far. It’s still too early to clearly state if there is a marked or noticeable improvement, but she’s been happy so far with this product.If you decide to use the drops sublingually (under the tongue), she says there is a tangy flavor that she notices. Even though this product is not specifically claiming any benefit on this condition, she read a recent article saying iodine could potentially be beneficial for toe fungus as well.She’s pretty picky (shhh) so the fact that she’s fine with this product, says that I might try it too for improving my metabolism.

You very well may need an iodine supplement
Disclaimer: I am not a physician. I am simply passing along information that I’ve been able to glean from publicly available sources. Please consult with your doctor when considering what’s right for your health.Iodine is very necessary for proper thyroid operation. Since the human body does not make iodine, it needs to come from external sources. Some of the typical food sources of iodine (ie. iodized salt and dairy products) are currently being somewhat frowned upon by some (many?) nutritionists, so where to turn?Nascent iodine is simply a consumable form of iodine that the human body can easily assimilate. Thus, this product seems like a reasonable approach for me to ensure I get enough iodine in the body.The big question is how much to take? According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the tolerable UPPER intake levels for males and females 19+ years of age is 1100mcg. Since the label on the bottle states that one 6 drop serving contains 2694mcg, well over the NIH upper limit. Maybe 6 drops is right for you, maybe not, but it is well above current NIH guidelines.As for value, if you do like I’m doing and lower the serving size, these bottles could last quite some time. Given that iodine is so essential for proper health, I’d say this product provides very good value.I can’t comment on taste, as how I take mine is by placing drops in my daily smoothie. Given the small amount that I use, I don’t taste any difference whatsoever.* I hope you found this review helpful.

Easy to take iodine supplement
About six months ago, I was offered a pack of 3, 1 oz bottles of Earth to Humans (ETH) Nascent Iodine for review via the Amazon Vine Program, and I accepted.I’ve never taken an iodine supplement before, so I didn’t know what to expect. However, I approached it with caution as I am aware that iodine affects the thyroid gland. Too much of it can be a bad thing, just as too little. Since I use iodized salt and have no chronic health issues, I’m pretty sure I’m not iodine deficient. The recommended dosage of this Nascent Iodine supplement is six drops/day. Since I’m the cautious type, I started out with one drop per day. Then increased it to two a week later and three a week after that. I’ve settled on three drops per day. It’s super easy to take as I just drop the drops right into my palm and lick it off – easy and no fuss. It tastes like… iodine, which is really not bad, as it turns out. Not that I would crave it for a snack, but the point is that it’s pleasant to take. I’m not sure that I have noticed any positive effects of this supplement. Nor have I noticed any negative effects. Overall, I’d say that if you wanted to try an iodine supplement, this is probably a good choice.

There’s no way around it. The E2H Vegan Liquid Iodine Supplement tastes like….wait for it!…iodine! But I will happily take this drop for the benefits it provides and I’m so happy it is sourced and made in the USA! As stated by E2H, it is “MADE IN THE USA: We are very proud that our supplements are 100% sourced and produced in the United States!”I often add this drop to a bit of water, or sometimes I drop it under my tongue, then swish it around a bit before swallowing and chasing it with water.The bottles arrived in individual boxes which were encased together in plastic. While the boxes were not safety-sealed, the actual bottles were.I received this product in June 2022 and the expiration date is September 2025! Excellent!Overall, this seems to be a great product, which I will continue to use. It will be interesting to see my lab results after taking it for a longer period of time. As is the case with other liquid supplements, I do wish that the dropper had a dosage marker to insure accuracy, but not a dealbreaker, especially since it clearly states and shows the dosage to be ½ a dropperful.5 stars and recommended!

So very simple to take – and tastes good.
A new brand for me, and I’m really liking it so far. This liquid Iodine is so simple to take and has a good flavor to it as well (along with the typical iodine taste). I’m slowly moving away from all my supplements being in a capsule form – as I’m concerned by all those capsules I put in my body – do I really need them? Capsules are just one more item that I have to look at how they are made and if they are non-toxic.But I also have to watch how much vegetable glycerine I consume as well, as it is typically made from soybeans (even the high-quality good stuff) and is commonly a by-product of the soap making and biodiesel industries – so not all vegetable glycerine is of high quality. This brand claims it is high quality and GMO-free, so at least I hope the soybeans used to make the glycerine are non-GMO.This iodine is high potency, so I only need 6-7 drops to get the daily dose I wish to consume, to support my thyroid function.
