    Works well and tastes great

    This is my household’s new favorite pre-workout. It tastes great regardless of how you mix it–gymrat offspring puts a scoop in 8 oz of water and shoots it, I put 3/4 scoop into 40 oz of ice water and enjoy it. He’s thrilled with 2.5 grams of beta alanine, I appreciate the caffeine, citrulline, arginine and choline combo. He uses it prior to a workout, I use it for focus (caffeine calms me down, and in combination with the amino acids, this works to help me stay productive)We both really liked the watermelon flavor– it’s a nice balance of sweet and tart. Even using 3/4 scoop in 40 oz of water it’s got plenty of flavor.It’s a little pricier than some other pre-workouts we’ve used, but I really like the effect of the components and my gymrat offspring said he can feel a difference in the quality of his workouts. At the time I ordered this, it was $49.99 for 30 servings–$1.66 per serving. (At the quantity I use, it’ll end up closer to 40 servings and around $1.25 per serving) Compared to canned energy drinks, this is a bargain, and I honestly would choose the taste of this every time. I’m pretty sure we’ll be ordering this one again.

    Nice blend of ingredients, good taste, probably overpriced though

    For almost $50, this is probably a hard price to justify for under 11 oz (30 servings) of pre-workout powder, but it does contain a good mix of ingredients and it does taste good.This pre-workout powder comes in a small container, just about the size you’d expect from a medium sized container of petroleum jelly. It’s clear, which is nice, not colored; so it doesn’t add any color to whatever you mix it into. The powder is reasonably fine, and mixes in easily to any kind of liquid I’ve cared to try, but you’re best adding it to water to start with. It’s made with a good blend of basic pre-workout ingredients, and it doesn’t have any of the ‘filler’ that are standard in cheaper mixes. It’s got a good taste, at least to me; it doesn’t taste too chemically, has a decent watermelon flavoring, and it has a nice sour-ish tang from the citric acid (vitamin C). I’d suggest testing a small amount first, because some people feel tingly or itchy when taking beta alanine, which this has a fair bit of.As for downsides, with only 30 servings for $50, this is more than $1.50 per serving. It’s not the most expensive pre-workout supplement, but it’s certainly not on the affordable end. It’s also got 250mg of caffeine per serving, which you definitely need to know before using it, so I’d suggest reading the ingredients carefully. It’s hard to judge value because everyone has different price thresholds, so I’m not taking a star off the rating, but it is definitely worth thinking about other options if $1.50/serving is too much for you.* I only review things that I personally use myself and keep using for a long time.* I always give my full, honest, unbiased and unfiltered opinion on everything I review.* I will not hold back or avoid describing any issues I have with a product.* I write exactly what I think about things – the good, the bad, and everything in between.* If I get multiple of something it’s because I regularly use and need both of them.* And, I will update my review if something breaks, stops working as intended, or otherwise doesn’t hold up as expected.

    Decent boost

    As a runner, I wanted to see if this mix would improve my mileage. It has a strong watermelon flavor that is honestly a little tough to drink, but after about half an hour, I do feel some increased energy and boost when I go running. It doesn’t feel like a major boost though…it is more like it sustains my run and keeps me from getting too exhausted rather than giving me too much energy. In a way I feel that is much better than having the jitters when I exercise. I just wish the watermelon flavor wasn’t so strong. If I diluted with more water, that would probably help with the flavor, but I also do not want to be needing to go to the bathroom during my run. Overall I feel this is a nice addition to a workout but it isn’t necessary.

    Very good, but EXPENSIVE!

    This stuff gets you going. I used it for my preworkout quite a few times. It doesn’t get you as jittery as other specifically made and highly caffeinated preworkouts do but it does give you that oomph you need if you down it. The taste is pretty good for watermelon. I know a lot of watermelon flavors can be questionable but this is on that higher tier side and I liked it alot. The only thing I can’t get on the train with is the price. This is very expensive for 30 servings when almost any other competitor can be as low as half the price of this. It just isnt worth that price point. If they knocked it down to around $35, I would be all in.

    Good at half dose

    I’m a hobbyist weightlifter and a runner, so I’m always looking for a preworkout that gives me some pump without giving me the shakes. Watermelon Wave is sweet but not too strong, and it mixes well with water in a standard shaker cup. This product has 250mg of caffeine per serving, which for me is too much, so I have been using half a scoop. With that amount it still gets the job done and you get the energy feel. The price tends to be on the high side, but overall a good product.

    No jitters

    This supplement supports hydration and circulation and claims to provide clean energy. The container has 30 servings and the flavor is watermelon and taste pretty good. The supplement did not cause jitters and pro.oted alertness. I preferred to work out after taking this product and feel like it really .awesome a difference. Overall I am glad I tried it.

    Expensive

    I’ve been using this pre-workout for a while, and it’s a bit of a mixed bag. It definitely delivers on energy, but has a few quirks.First, the mixability and flavor. The Watermelon Wave flavor is decent, but not my favorite. They recommend mixing a scoop with 8oz of water which makes it super concentrated. I like it with a tall glass of water, or even more. It doesn’t dissolve as well as many powders I’ve used, but it dissolves with some stirring.The main selling point here is the energy boost. With 250mg of caffeine, it’s strong enough to double as an energy drink to help you power through your day or a tough workout. I definitely felt a noticeable kick after taking it. The formula also includes 2.5g of Beta-Alanine, which is known for causing a tingling sensation. If you feel that, it’s a normal and harmless side effect that usually goes away after a bit.However, looking closer at the ingredients, the value proposition gets a little shaky. While it contains beneficial ingredients for pump and focus like L-Citrulline (200mg), L-Arginine (200mg), and L-Tyrosine (50mg), the dosages are quite low compared to what’s considered effective in clinical studies. For a pre-workout, you’d typically want to see much higher amounts of these to get a significant impact on muscle pumps and focus.The biggest drawback for me is the price. At nearly $50 for 30 servings, it costs about $1.67 per scoop. While that’s cheaper than a canned energy drink from the store, it’s on the expensive side for a pre-workout, especially given that many of the key ingredients are underdosed.Final Thoughts: If you’re looking for a tasty drink with a solid caffeine kick to get you going, this works well. But if you’re an experienced gym-goer looking for a performance-enhancing pre-workout with effective doses for pump and endurance, you can probably find better value elsewhere.

    Good flavor, tingly

    I’m new to adding pre workout into my routine so this was a bit eye opening.The tub itself is pretty standard though the powder seems like it’s constantly waiting for an opportunity to escape. The tamper proof seal was not super effective so some of it fell out while I was opening it which I did not love. There is a scoop inside which is convenient but you’ll have to really bury it back in the powder if you want the lid to close until you make a notable dent in it.The powder dissolves reasonably well even without a shaker bottle. It ends up aggressively pink and with a strong watermelon flavor. I liked it but found it a touch sour which may not be for everyone.I did feel a notable boost in energy after drinking this and getting though my workout felt easier. I also learned that I’m one of the people that gets itchy from beta alanine. It’s not a complete dealbreaker, but I’ll probably investigate some alternatives because it was not enjoyable. It stopped in less than an hour so it’s something I could put up with if I had to. The price is not a particular selling point either. It seems to be in line with many other comparable products but closer to the middle than the lower end. Between that and the itching, buying another tub is unlikely at this point unless I actively disliked my other options.Overall, it did what it promised but may not be the best option for me.
