Wonderful, Fresh, Very Similar To Higher End Colostrum, Will Buy Again
Two things here.First, this was manufacturer-packaged very very well. They put it in bubble-wrap, then it was shipped in a paper mailer, and the paper mailer was trashed and torn, but this stayed inside long enough to make it to our home and it wasn’t broken. The other item in that mailer was never found, as it had fallen out at the warehouse or in the van. So the packaging by the manufacturer, in December 2025, is really wonderful, and their careful product-packaging is the only reason we even got to test the product. So thank you to the Mercola team for being better than most at making sure items are safe for transportation.Second, while this isn’t as good as the top-brand first-six-hour-colostrum supplement for certain factors, this is a very high-quality colostrum. I can tell, based on how my stomach feels, that it’s not too highly contaminated with regular milk. It’s not first-serving, like the brand that costs so much for a container that we can’t afford it, but it’s not so late in the colostrum-cycle that it’s got a lot of milk. I’d say this is within the first two-day window and probably in the first day, which makes it an excellent option for anyone with immune deficiency or flora issues they’re trying to address.As for the feeling of this, it’s very similar to other high-end colostrum products. Those with milk-allergy shouldn’t take it, but those without the allergy find that it’s very smooth and mild and doesn’t bother their stomachs. This is something you want to start slowly with, like a probiotic, since it does have some impact on gut and digestion, so we started with one pill, then waited two days, then another pill, and then worked up to several pills per day. We had no bowel or stomach issues of any kind following that protocol.The capsules aren’t too large for any of us, but we take a lot of supplements, so we’re accustomed to larger pills. I’d advise reading about the sizing to see if it’s right for you. I found them smaller than most of my pills, but in the medium category, and yet I take large pills, so I’m not sure if others would see these as medium or large.The bottle had very little extra dust inside, with nice full capsules that are well-sealed, so it’s not a wasted product like you get from some vendors where the capsules are open and falling apart. It’s a wonderful option, and we’ll be purchasing this again for our family.Of course, with severe immunodeficiency, please consult a physician before taking colostrum or any probiotics, due to the special needs of a very weak immune system, but for people with mild immunity loss from loss of gut-flora due to the microbiome being damaged by antibiotics and for people with milder immune system issues, this is an excellent option. And of course, don’t take if you have an actual milk allergy. Good luck finding what will work best for you and your family.

serving size is way too big, this bottle is only a 30 day serving
I was excited to try these colostrum supplements out but was immediately disappointed when I found out the serving size is 6 pills!! And these are not tiny pills! That means if you’re taking 6 a day, there are actually only 30 days worth of pills and for this price, I definitely think thats too expensive. I’ve thought about cutting the serving size in half but I’m not sure if it will work properly so I may split up when I take them during the day. I also noticed on the label that this is not an FDA approved supplement. I always get nervous about ingesting things that aren’t FDA approved. I’ve definitely been a bit skeptical about them. But I’ve read all about the benefits of cololstrum and really wanted to try these out. I was impressed with the packaging, you can tell this is a high quality supplement because of the glass bottle it comes in, definitely makes me feel a little better about them.

serving size is insane
It’s unbelievable that the serving size for this colostrum supplement is six pills a day. Surely most people would not actually adhere to such an arduous routine. I settled for just one or two a day, so the bottle lasted me a few months. My belief is that my body felt healthier while taking this colostrum, but the remarkably high retail price causes me to hesitate to recommend it. $65 a month is no joke! If you suffer something terrible like IBS or Crohn’s disease, the potential healing and relief from this higher-end supplement might be worth it to you, but if you’re only interested in colostrum for maintenance purposes, this brand might be too luxurious. I appreciate that it comes in an amber glass bottle to keep the product fresh and safe from UV light, but personally I still prefer goat colostrum because it’s less allergenic than bovine.

500 mg of colostrum per capsule, fillers have nutritional value
I’m considering switching to this as my regular brand of colostrum because not only does it contain the same amount of colostrum per capsule as the brand I currently use, it also contains L-Leucine (according to an internet search: “L-Leucine is an essential branched-chain amino acid (BCAA) that the human body cannot synthesize and must be obtained through dietary sources such as meats, dairy products, soy, and legumes. It plays a critical role in muscle protein synthesis, acting as a key activator of the mechanistic target of rapamycin (mTOR) pathway, which regulates cell growth and protein biosynthesis”). Also, my regular brand does not specify the immunoglobulin content, whereas this brand does. Also, this bottle contains 180 capsules, whereas my regular brand is 60. That said, this brand states that 6 capsules are needed per dose, however, my other brand says 1 capsule per dose, and both brands are 500 mg of colostrum per capsule, so I would say take what you feel you need. Since there are 3 times the number of capsules in this one bottle, it actually is more cost effective than the other brand. I have used other Mercola brand products and found them to be good quality, so I think that I will be happy with this as well. My bottle came with an easy-rip sealing ring on the outside of the cap, and it expires in about a year from now. There were no bad odors in the bottle, in fact, I couldn’t smell much of anything. Note that colostrum is a milk-related product, so be cautious if you have a serious dairy allergy. I am allergic to dairy, but have found that colostrum doesn’t trigger a reaction in me.
