Very good but always concerned
My wife and I use this brand because it seems to help my enlarged prostate condition, my cholesterol levels and it is noticeably good for our digestive systems. We tried other brands at 30 day intervals and they did not seem to work well. My concerns are: 1. There is no independent agency that certifies quality or potency claims, 2. The bottle allows light to penetrate in (I have read curcumin potency is negatively affected by light) and 3. I worry that this manufacture, like so many others, could easily, and at any time, dilute the potency and misrepresent the product. ‘I guess the proof is in the pudding’. I will use it as long as I trust it.

This is a life saver for me…
I’ve been taking Doctor’s Best Curcumin for about 3-4 years now. I started taking one 1000MG pill per day and now I take two, one after lunch and one before bed. I haven’t touched a NSAID in for ever.I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis 11 years ago. I’m in my mid thirties now and it’s been quite the ride.I’ve had corrective surgery on my hands to fix my ulnar deviation.Buttoning anything was a chore, forget opening anything…and while I was following a treatment I was still in pain from the damages my body incurred prior to being on a treatment. I usually purchase two bottles of 120 pills from amazon. This should last me about 4 months.I never allow it to run out because I feel pain when I don’t take these supplements so I order 2 bottles every 3-4 months.Aside from controlling the pain I feel like I don’t get sick as much…I can’t remember the last time I had a flu or ended up sick while on these supplements.I’ve actually wanted to try cheaper versions of this (as I pay about 50 bucks per bottle) but I’m afraid to mess up a good thing.I tell everyone who have joint pain about curcumin and how much it’s helped me.I did my research…intensively…prior to starting this regiment. I first learnt of Doctor’s Best from a lady’s case who beat cancer with curcumin (and perhaps something else but I can’t recall)…she said she tried numerous brands and these worked the best for her. Prior to Dr’s Best she made her own paste with turmeric powder.Do your research. Curcumin/turmeric isn’t for everyone. People suffering from gallstones etc should stay away.Also, it’s a natural blood thinner….so you shouldn’t take it if you’re already on blood thinners and in case of surgery, you need to stop the curcumin 2 weeks prior to your surgery.Hope this helps anyone on the fence about this product.If anyone has any questions just leave me a comment and I’ll try to answer to the best of my abilities.

I absolutely recommend!
I have tried other brands and varieties of curcumin, this is of no comparison. This meets or exceeds any that I have tried so far. It is worth mentioning that I also take this with Theracurmin from Natural Factors (60 mg nanoparticle curcumin and piperine), so response or not may take into consideration that I always take these two together. This far exceeds any other antidepressant, forget taking an SSRI from a doctor that is going to have nasty and undesirable side effects. The antidepressant action is noticeable almost on the first or second day, a general uplifting feeling of well-being that doesn’t take weeks to notice as with SSRIs. It helps with digestion of inflammation promoting foods as well. I don’t normally experience joint pain or headaches, so cannot speak on pain-relieving properties. Be careful taking it with other compounds that act on MAO enzymes, it’s probably not safe to take with antidepressants or any other medications. Definitely ask a doctor first but they probably aren’t going to recommend you take it, haha! Antidepressant property fades within 3-10 days of discontinuing, but not necessarily a rebound depression. Great for general background mood-related motivation to continue living a healthy and productive life.

I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis about a year ago. My pain level throughout my body was around 8-9 (and I have a high pain threshold). My CRP, which is a blood marker for inflammation was 35 (should be below 10) . I couldn’t get an appointment with a Rheumatologist for 4 months so I decided to do a little research and see what was out there for natural pain relief. I read up on Curcumin and it sounded like just what I was looking for. I ordered this and began taking 3-4 capsules a day and although that helped, it wasn’t enough so I kept increasing it until I was at 9 a day (3 capsules 3 times daily). It was like a miracle! The pain went down to around 2 and I’ve been doing great. I added Boswellia capsules along the way also and I think the combination are even more beneficial. Recently, I decided to try and find a cheaper brand of 1,000 mg capsules because at 9 a day, this brand was getting expensive. Puritans Pride offered 1,000 mg capsules for MUCH less and seemed to be comparable ingredient wise, so I switched. Bottom line? One bottle in and my pain has returned BIG TIME! The only change I’ve made in my regimen is the Puritan’s Pride curcurmin. Needless to say I’ve sent back the unused bottles and reordered my Dr’s Best Curcumin. I wish it was cheaper but what the heck…I’m worth the one that works.

Great deal on a great product.
It’s very difficult to determine sometimes how much of this is pure curcumin and how much of this is plain turmeric. I’ve tried quite a few different brands. This one I’m sticking with. It basically does the same job as taking Naproxen every day, without affecting my blood pressure.Since I’ve been taking one daily, my back pains have almost gone away entirely.Very pleased with curcumin. Very pleased with this one.Note: If you’re price shopping, steer completely away from those that tell you it’s a “Proprietary formula.” That just a deceptive way of tell you that it is essentially turmeric, which can be as low as 3% Curcumin.And, if they’re honest, and actually list both the Turmeric and standardized Curcumin separately, pay much attention to what percent is standardized extract.This product is 100% standardized extract or at least 95% Curcumin.

NIH studies said it works-They were right!
My arthritis was getting bad enough to keep me awake at night and I am unable to take NSAID because of kidney disease. When I heard about Turmeric and researched it, I found out you need to read the label closely, to get only the EXTRACT, not the root. I looked at lots of labels and chose Dr’s Best 1000 mg tablets.Then I double checked studies to be sure it wouldn’t damage my kidneys. It actually HELPS kidneys and Fatty Liver Disease! The NIH studies say it works by repairing Leaky Gut Syndrome, to reduce inflammation. I only wish it was a permanent cure.I tried it on an empty stomach, which is best for absorption, but I had stomach pain from it. I now take it with half a protein shake and have no problems, and it still works well.It works for my arthritis, and if I stop I notice the pain returning within a couple of days. My shoulder arthritis is better, but my rotator cuff is only partially improved, but I will take what relief I can get.I have noticed that if I am eating lots of sweets, my arthritis gets worse (sugar is inflammatory), and I take an extra pill (twice a day) and back off the sweets.This pill is worth the money to me. My daughter tried a different well known brand and it didn’t help. I am buying her a big bottle of Doctor’s Best today to see if it helps her.
