    Great product from a brand I trust

    I’ve been using this R-Lipoic Acid form from Doctor’s Best for almost a month now and I feel it’s a good product. My energy is good. I’ve noticed no side effects. I take Alpha Lipoic Acid for longevity and blood sugar control and my labs are usually great in that regard. If you take 1 a day, you get a 2 month supply in the bottle. It’s pricier than regular Alpha Lipoic Acid because the R form is supposedly more effective. I can’t vouch to that. I can say I’ve been taking some form of Alpha Lipoic Acid for many years now and I think it’s a good supplement. I take it in the morning before breakfast. My energy during the day is excellent and I recover well from workouts.

    Trusted Brand, Easy on the stomach pills

    I’ve used Doctor’s Best products before and have come to trust the brand for quality and potency, so I decided to try their stabilized R-Lipoic Acid. This is a chemically modified, biologically active form of alpha lipoic acid, a powerful antioxidant that’s supposed to support metabolism and mitochondrial function. It also contains biotin in the formula. The product is non-GMO, gluten-free, soy-free, and vegan, which is a nice bonus.The capsules are a reasonable, standard size and easy to take, with no strange odors. There are 60 capsules per bottle at one per serving, so it works out to about a two-month supply, which feels like a fair value for the price compared to other R-lipoic acid supplements on the market.It’s still too early for me to say much about the effects one way or another. I haven’t noticed any side effects, but I also haven’t seen a dramatic difference yet either. I’ll update this review as I keep taking it and learn more.

    Trusted brand and quality

    One of favorite supplement brands! I’ve been using this brands l theanine for years because I love the quality. I was excited to try this.What I like:-Uses stabilized R-lipoic acid (Na-RALA) rather than standard alpha-lipoic acid. R-lipoic acid is the naturally occurring form and is generally considered more bioavailable.-Provides 200 mg per capsule, which is a commonly used dose. (I researched this)-Includes 150 mcg of biotin (500% DV). Biotin is sometimes added because alpha-lipoic acid may compete with biotin for transport, so apparently added for absorption.-Very short ingredient list with no unnecessary fillers.-Vegan, non-GMO, gluten-free, and soy-free. Not important to me, however will be very important to some.I took this both on empty stomach and with a meal and had no issues with either. I’ve had no side effects. I will say it’s a little too soon to see results but I have no doubt this brand delivers the best supplements so I know it will deliver results! I’m taking for general antioxidant support and health since R-lipoic acid helps protect cells by neutralizing free radicals, reducing oxidative stress, and recharging other essential antioxidants in your body. I don’t think it’s one of those supplements that you will notice a huge difference in how you feel, however I know I’m doing my body good by taking.This is a well-formulated R-lipoic acid supplement with a clean ingredient profile and a good dose by a trusted brand. I will say the prices for this brand are generally a little higher than competitors but a few dollars, but I have no problem paying it for certain supplements that are important to me.

    One capsule per day of stabilized ala without stomach issues

    I’ve been taking various forms of R-ALA capsules for for about a year now. This bottle mentions stabilized R-lipoic acid for better absorption, which seemed worth trying over standard ALA. It’s also easier to take one pill than two, since this brand combines 200mg of ALA in one pill compared to 100-200mg in other versions I’ve used that required multiple capsules. That also means the pill is a bit bigger if you have trouble swallowing pills.After a week of daily use, I haven’t experienced any stomach upset or digestive issues. The capsules go down easy enough. There’s definitely still a bit of a sulfur-like smell to your urine afterward, which I’m guessing means the compound is active.The bottle contains 60 capsules, so one per day lasts about two months. That’s reasonable for the price point, even though supplements aren’t exactly cheap anymore. The veggie capsules dissolve fine without any issues.I can’t say whether the biotin adds anything since there’s no clear way to measure that personally. I haven’t noticed any difference in how I feel either way.What I appreciate most is that it doesn’t bother my stomach like some other supplements do. For something you take every day, that matters more than fancy marketing claims.

    I have used doctor’s best before, and have come to trust the brand. This is my first time using the stabilized R-Lipoic acid.I was looking for a supplement to help with increasing my energy levels and supporting my metabolism, so decided to try this.Each veggie cap is of a reasonable size, and it is easy to take. There are 60 capsules in the bottle, but the serving size is only one capsule, so you really do get a 60-day supply.The product is non-gmo, gluten-free, soy free and vegan, if that matters to you.The product has no strange odors, and is easy to take.While I haven’t been taking the product very long I have noticed a slight increase in my energy levels, so that speaks at least somewhat to the effectiveness of the product.Compared to other are R-lipoic acid supplements, the price is reasonable, and I consider it to be a good value for the price.It’s probably too early to pass final judgment on the overall effectiveness of the supplement, but I am hoping for great things and I have not noticed any side effects that are of note.
