I’m thrilled that the makers of Niagen (Chromadex) have begun licensing the product out to other manufacturers to expand the options of getting actual Niagen to more than just Chromadex via TruNiagen. I have been using Niagen for over a year for CFS/ME, and I absolutely can tell if I miss a day. 150mg of Niagen is my perfect dose, so for me this is a 60 day supply.In addition to Niagen, designs for health also provides resveratrol and pterostilbene. Pterostilbene is another supplement that I take because it’s highly recommended for CFS/ME, but when I run out of pterostilbene I fall back on resveratrol because they’re very similar antioxidants. Combining the two into one is great for those who are serious about their supplements, as one bottle is always better than two.These are just as effective as TruNiagen. In taking them, I don’t get the “missed a dose” feeling.While it’s very likely that you can get the three supplements contained in this bottle for less by purchasing them separately, I again fall back onto the convenience of one (or two) pills versus three (or four).designs for health is a trusted and reputable brand, as are Veri-te and Chromadex, licensers of the ingredients. This is an excellent supplement from a good company. Five stars.

Longevity cocktail?
Disclaimer: I am not a physician. I am merely passing along information that I’ve been able to glean from publicly available sources. Please consult with your doctor when considering what’s right for your health.This seems like a good combination supplement for longevity, as it includes NR, Resveratrol (a SIRT activator), and Pterostilbene (similar to Resveratrol, but thought by some to be more effective). Together, they are thought by many to be at least somewhat helpful toward increasing lifespan and healthspan. There is some debate on whether NR or NMN (both NAD precursors) are more effective, and while thorough testing on humans may not be fully fleshed out yet, there also seems to be almost universal agreement that NAD boosters are quite safe for human consumption. Either way, I am not in a position to offer a useful opinion on whether NR or NMN are the preferred option.Pros:1. Off-white color. Either white or off-white is expected.2. Manufactured in a GMP facility.3. Designs for Health is a highly respected brand that receives consistency high ratings.4. This seems to be a good combination for those looking for longevity.Cons:1. Pterostilbene??
Nicotinamide Riboside Chloride with Resveratrol?? Yes please. Those have been studied for their benefits and the interest is bursting with research papers and articles about them. But Pterostilbene? I haven’t the faintest clue how to even pronounce that and had to copy/paste itLooking it up though, it packs quite the wallop: from helping reduce the damage from free radicals, pain relieving effects, anti-inflammatory properties, helping balance blood sugar, immune support…it’s a long list of health benefitsAdding this to the stack of other ingredients, I believe this is doing us good. Less aches, less pains after a hard workout, less backaches from sitting at our desks for too long without movementThis’ll be great in the long run. No side effects either

CellGuard NR vs separate NR and Resveratrol
I have been doing NMN, Resveratrol, Berberine, and a NAD precursor for a couple of years now, with the main difference being that I have been changing out the NAD precursor from time to time as that is the part of the “cocktail” that seems to be most up for debate if you follow some of David Sinclair’s “Lifespan” book, website, or videos.I do think this is an effective option if you are looking for an effective NAD precursor and only want to take one two capsules to combine both Niagen and Resveratrol. However, it doesn’t include nearly as much Resveratrol as most supplements would separately. My guess is that Designs for Health would argue that the Pterostilbene may make up for that. I’m not sure we have enough science currently to determine that but to be safe, I am still including my normal resveratrol while I take this supplement.I do feel like this gives me a good source of energy and healing but no better than the regular Niagen so its hard to recommend it at this price. I have been pleased with supplements from this company and I trust their supplements, though, so if price is not a concern, this may be worth a try.

Niagen plus synergistic compounds
I have been taking Niagen for 7 years, and now take a very large dose daily about 3000mg. It took me from years of severe debilitation to reversing my symptoms instananeously (thus confirming serious mitochondrial dysfunction) and to a near normal life consistantly very rapidly. However, the reason for my need for increased NAD+ is unknown and not corrected, so I am depedent on NAD+ precursors NR or NMN to maintain my new near normal condition. So I am well acquainted with the wonders and benefits of NAD+ precursors NR and NMN, as I have used both.This supplement combines Niagen and 2 other ingredients to provide an enhance supplement. This is something I would add to my regime, replacing some of the Niagen I now take, but only a capsule or two. I already take another resveratrol supplement, so I might decrease that one as well when using this.Niagen is proven science and works. Over the last many years I have also seen rejuvenation effects, such as changes in skin – more youthful, increased/restored elasticity, etc. I know it’s hard to believe a story like mine, but its real, and I’m still here to tell it, and it is backed by the science; and my experience corroborates the findings.Compared to what Niagen usually sells for, this is expensive, a one month supply shouldn’t cost over $80.

Very disappointed. Ordered December 2nd. I do love the Designs For Health brand and feel that it is a quality product. But…..whoever is in charge of the inventory and shipping should really take some time to make sure that they are not sending expired products to their customers. Designs For Health would not allow a return or exchange. I did get in touch with Amazon and they issued me a refund. I now have to re-order product in hopes that I get something that is not expired.
