Came with 30 individual sticks which is handy, and the packaging lists everything clearly so you can actually read the ingredients without squinting. I mixed one with about 8 oz of room temp water like it says and it dissolved pretty decent after a good stir (I didn’t have a frother this time). Flavor is strawberry acai but leans heavier on the acai side for me, which has that tart bitter edge some folks might not love. First sip was a bit dry and earthy, left a lingering aftertaste that stuck around maybe 20-30 minutes. I’m guessing the yerba mate is behind that.Energy wise though it worked. Felt a solid boost within the first half hour, kind of like a strong coffee but without the crazy jitters. I take berberine and cinnamon already for other reasons so getting those plus the chromium and stuff in a drink is nice, even if I didn’t notice a huge difference in appetite. One small annoyance is the packets can be a pain to open cleanly if the powder is a little packed, had to tear them wider than the perforations wanted. Also wish they’d list the caffeine amount or say if it’s free, since yerba mate is in there and some people are sensitive.

I noticed some people mentioned its bitter taste, and I was worried it might not suit me. So I checked the ingredient list and found that BERBERINE, one of the ingredients, does have a bitter taste. I decided to give it a try, and it was indeed a bit bitter, but it’s still acceptable.After using it for a while, I found it was exactly as described.It gives me a nice energy boost without feeling too strong, and I’ve noticed it helps me stay on track with my wellness routine. Overall, Would recommend it.

I’ve gone through maybe eight or nine sticks so far, not consecutively, because I keep forgetting the box is in the cabinet behind the coffee stuff. So take that for what it’s worth.The thing I actually keep thinking about is the texture. In a full glass of cold water with a spoon, it never quite goes all the way. There’s a fine layer that settles at the bottom within a minute or so, and if you drink it slow you get a slightly gritty last mouthful. Shaker bottle fixes most of that. Flavor is a mild strawberry, not candy sweet, a little earthy underneath it — probably the berberine or the yerba mate, I’m guessing. Not bad. I wouldn’t drink it for fun.As for whether it curbs snacking, I honestly can’t tell you. On the days I had it mid-afternoon I didn’t raid the pantry at 4pm, but I also had it on days I’d already eaten a real lunch, so that’s not exactly controlled science. No jittery feeling, which I appreciated, since anything with an energy angle usually makes me feel weird.The individual sticks are genuinely handy, I threw two in a bag for a weekend trip and didn’t think about it again. I’ll keep working through the box. If something changes I’ll come back, but right now I’m not sold enough to say it’s doing anything I’d notice if it stopped.

Hello Fellow Amazon Users.Here is my honest review of the VitalXtra Cutting Drink Mix. This is my first time trying this product, and I was somewhat skeptical at first. One thing I immediately liked is that the ingredients are clearly listed on the box in large enough print to easily read. The individually wrapped packets are also a nice touch because they are convenient to carry, and I can easily fit several in my sling backpack when I’m on the go. I did run into a small issue when opening the packets. The perforated tear area is a little too small, and because the powder can be somewhat caked inside, I had to tear the opening farther than intended to get the product out. It’s not a major problem, but it could definitely be improved. Once I got the powder out, however, it mixed very well. I tried it with room-temperature water and used a frother, and it dissolved without clumping or leaving residue at the bottom. The drink has a pleasant strawberry aroma, although it does have a somewhat artificial smell. The taste is where things get interesting. The first taste was noticeably bitter and dry, and it left my mouth feeling almost like I had cotton mouth. There is also a strong earthy, bitter aftertaste that I assume is coming from the ingredients such as the yerba mate. About 30 minutes after drinking it, I could still taste that aftertaste. I can understand why some people may find the flavor challenging. That said, the energy boost is definitely there. With the yerba mate extract in the formula, this drink was surprisingly effective for me. I only drank about 4 ounces and felt like I had consumed a full pot of coffee. It was definitely an eye-opening boost of energy. I also appreciate that the product uses individually portioned packets, has clearly readable ingredients, and contains less than 0.5g of sugar per serving with stevia used for sweetness. For me, those are useful features when I’m trying to be mindful of what I’m consuming. Overall, I would give the VitalXtra Cutting Drink Mix 4 stars. The biggest drawback for me is the strong bitter, earthy aftertaste, but the mix dissolves well and the energy boost is very noticeable. If you can get past the flavor, this could be an effective and convenient option for an energy boost.

I really like the flavor of this drink mix. It’s much more heavy on the acai flavor than the strawberry flavor, which I personally really like. It may not be for everyone, though. Acai has a somewhat bitter, tart flavor that puts some people off. I also like the ingredients, but not so much for the intended purpose of curbing your appetite. I regularly take berberine, chromium, and cinnamon for heart health and cholesterol support, so it’s a pleasant way to get those in my diet as opposed to taking pills. I don’t think I’ve really noticed a loss of appetite when drinking this.One thing that is a little odd to me is that there is no mention of the caffeine content. Yerba Mate contains caffeine, so I would assume that there is caffeine in the yerba mate extract. I sometimes like to avoid caffeine because it can make me feel jittery, so I was interested to see if I would feel that way with this drink mix. I haven’t had that jittery feeling so far, so either there is little to no caffeine, or maybe it’s just balanced out a bit with the 5-HTP and magnesium, which both provide a calming effect. But I feel like they should indicate “caffeine free” on the label if there is no caffeine, or include the caffeine content if it is in there. There will be other people like me who see the yerba mate in the ingredients, and want that question answered.You get 30 packs in the box, which isn’t too bad for the $25.99 price. That’s less than a dollar per drink, but note that each pack is meant to be mixed with only 8oz of water, and not a 16.9oz bottle of water like a lot of other drink mixes. Overall, I enjoy this drink mix and like the ingredients.

Other than the two minor drawbacks, value and aftertaste, this is a very good cutting mix. I would recommend it to a friend.

I ordered this Cutting Drink Mix mainly to support my gut health and to increase energy levels.I’ve been drinking one packet mixed with water every day for a week, and haven’t noticed any difference in how I feel. I didn’t order it to curb my appetite but it definitely had no effect on it.The stick packs have a perforated end to tear but the powder inside is so caked, it won’t come out. I had to cut off the end to get the powder out.It did dissolve in cold water when I put it in my leakproof water bottle and shook it really hard. First, I tried it with the recommended 8 oz. of water. It was way too strong, so I used 12 oz. to dilute it a bit. It was hard to get down, as the taste is awful. It has a bitter, earthy taste and also a chemical taste.I wish I would have looked deeper into this brand before I started using this powder. In doing some research, I found that, they’re not a widely recognized, established, or transparent supplement manufacturer, and they lack major third-party quality certifications, meaning that, this supplement may not contain everything they list, or the amounts listed. It could also have ingredients that aren’t listed, and may contain heavy metals or other harmful ingredients.After reading this, and because of the terrible taste, I didn’t feel like it was safe to keep taking this supplement, so I threw the rest in the trash.
