Don’t like the lead warning otherwise a solid product
This item is a 16 ounce package of cranberry extract powder. As an average consumer who tries to stay informed, I did pause when I noticed the Proposition 65 warning on the package regarding potential exposure to lead. I haven’t seen that on food products before. While I understand that many natural root or fruit powders can absorb trace minerals from the soil, it’s definitely a heads up for anyone who is particularly cautious about heavy metals or long-term chemical exposure. For some, the benefits of the concentrated antioxidants are clear, and they might want to use this product in moderation, but I’ve decided not to use it just to play it safe. I did give the powder a try in water, and it mixed well and was tart so if you intend on using it, I suggest mixing it with juice or add to a smoothie. I like the resealable packaging they use. The price point seems OK given over a 1-year supply at 1/2 tsp per day, the suggested daily dosage.

Easy to add to drinks, seem to mix well and disappear, though I wasn’t expecting the “100% soluble” to be actual. My other ingredients are strong enough that I barely taste this. The one bag should last me for ages. Glad it seals well!

I really want to love this cranberry powder, but I’m just too skeptical. The taste is fine, and the ingredients show just cranberry powder, without fillers. I filled an old spice jar, so it’s easy to use, I just sprinkle it on foods I want to add a nice tang to. I didn’t buy it for effectiveness, but for adding cranberry flavor to things like yogurt or cereal.The two things that sit uneasy with me, are the warning for lead, and the lack of third party certification. There is no way for me to verify that this isn’t just some random red powder. It seems like a good value, which increases my skepticism. The fact that there is a lead warning gives me pause, because if it’s actually tested for lead, then it seems like a small step to certify the ingredients. Instead, it feels like a blanket possibility, so to sell this in California, they just warn of lead. With a few more steps, this could be a great product.

Promising ingredients, nice alternative to “pill overload,” packaging could be better
This seems to be a high quality product, made in USA and with no unpleasant side effects (YMMV). The suggested serving size is just 0.25 teaspoons which makes it very affordable (this container may literally last me a lifetime!)I really appreciate that there are no “extra” ingredients along for the ride; too many products include other vitamins/minerals which can cause some real math headaches as I try to determine if I’m getting too much of something (I’m looking at you, Vitamin A, magnesium, etc.). No added sugar or sodium?? YES PLEASE!It’s hard to speak to the effectiveness because if it’s something you’re already taking it’s hard to notice a difference in the way you look and/or feel. However, if it’s new to you/your system, it usually takes a while for any real benefits to show up.I do wish it came in a jar vs. a pouch, though; not only does the powder get stuck in the zipper but it poofs out and red dust gets everywhere – much messier than similar products in more traditional containers. Great taste, but PF65 Warning for lead on label, not mentioned in advertisement
Having recently started using cranberry powder, I happened to already have some cranberry powder products on hand, so I ordered this one as well. Please see the image that shows the three products I am testing. I placed each brand’s ‘serving size’ amount on a sheet of lined paper, wrote next to each one, the serving size and the amount sold in the bag. This brand, Xalya, is the powder on the bottom.Color and taste comparison: Compared to the other two powders, the Xalya brand is right in the middle. It is not as dark as one, nor as light as the other brand (see image). The darker brand of cranberry powder doesn’t have much of a cranberry taste to me, when I tried it straight. The lightest brand of cranberry powder has a distinctive strawberry taste, something that was noted in the reviews of that product. THIS brand has the best cranberry taste – a little tart, a little sweet. HOWEVER, the color of the cranberry powder in MY bag of Xayla cranberries is much lighter than the color shown on the advertisement. In fact, the powder I got was exactly the same color as the Xalya bag itself (see image). I deducted one star for inaccurate pictures on the Amazon ad.Servings per container: The Xalya brand has over twice the servings per package and is far cheaper per serving than the other two brands.However, both the other powders I purchased are organic. These cranberries are grown in China, and there is no mention of their being organic. They are labeled as non-GMO and with no additives.BECAUSE there is no lead warning on the Amazon ad, but there IS a warning on lead exposure on the Xalya bag of cranberry powder, I deducted another star. I prefer transparency in advertising.

I am mostly satisfied with this cranberry extract powder, but there are some things to keep in mind.Yes it has a lead warning which is a little scary. This is a California requirement and I am not sure if it is something I really need to worry about but it is informative.The serving size is a gram but there was no scoop in the product, so even after several days of using it, I haven’t figured out what scoop I can use to appropriately dose it. I have been using the smallest measuring spoon I have at half a teaspoon along with a scale so it’s not real convenient.The taste is very tart, it is cranberry after all, so it is great in juice and some smoothies but I am not willing to try it in something heavily dairy based and it is a bit rough to take in plain water.The color is a deep red but I can’t really tell how it compares to the sale posting pictures. It has a fruity scent,It is a great value at 454 servings.I like that it is sugar free, non gmo, etc.the powder is consistent without clumping and I did not see any extraneous material or different color specs in the powder.It is not easy to determine effectiveness of something like this. I replaced my cranberry capsule I was taking and don’t really see a difference. It is at least as effective as my prior supplement
