Quality Supplement. Delicious and Easy to Take, but Expensive
I’m here to provide my honest experience and unbiased -picky- opinion. I ordered this because I was looking for a detox to help with gut issues I am experiencing and I have used another Country Farms product which works for me.This is actually tasty! It arrived with two safety seals which made me feel better. The serving suggestion is two tablespoons per day and it would have been nice for the lid to have markings on it for convenience. I measured and a single serving, two tablespoons, is to the top of the lid filled to the brim. So I use the lid to take a dose, rinse it out, and then store it in the fridge. Easy peasy. A consideration for choosing this is that it has no artificial colors or flavors.It is thin in consistency, has a good mouth feel, and tastes good. I expected it to be thicker, like a juice or nectar, and was glad it wasn’t. There is no weird or artificial aftertaste. It’s great that it is sugar free, and still tastes yummy. I did not experience any adverse effects of taking this.It’s almost laughable that they say it’s a “fiber-rich liquid” when one serving only has THREE grams of fiber in it, the fiber gummies I take have more per gummy.For $40 for 16 servings, so $2.50 a serving, this is an expensive supplement. If it was less expensive I would take it more often. With this cost I will limit it to days in between doses. This is a quality product and not only would I recommend it, I would purchase it again when on sale. Hope this info was helpful!

Lack of transparency
The ingredients seem pretty standard (with slight exception for the artichoke), which isn’t a bad thing, but there are many options to choose from with these actives, although perhaps not in a drink mix. Curcumin and milk thistle are well known for their potential health benefits, and there is a good amount of research on both. Artichoke is commonly brewed as a medicinal tea in places like Vietnam, and I believe it may be effective for certain purposes. Dandelion and ginger root extracts are pretty common in herbal wellness formulas.There are some potentially beneficial ingredients here… how much is unclear as almost everything except artichoke inulin is wrapped in a proprietary formula. That gets to the value question, not knowing the amounts of each ingredient you’re getting at this price per serving makes this difficult to recommend unless you’re more interested in the flavored drink aspect. Even the ingredients used to flavor the drink are hidden behind the term “natural flavors,” so there is very little transparency anywhere on the label.Is it just a $39 (at time of review) flavored drink, or a supplement? I don’t see the purpose of a proprietary mix of such common ingredients. Is it more likely that there is a ratio of curcumin to dandelion extract (for example) that needs to be protected from competitors, or do they not want to disclose underdosed ingredients while still advertising them? It’s hard to justify five stars without knowing what you’re actually getting, which is the most important question to ask about any supplement.

I like to do a liver cleanse occasionally because the liver is so important and your body‘s ability to detox. I usually do capsules with milk thistle and other herbs.I was drawn to the supplement because I liked the fact that it was a liquid so very bioavailable. It’s like a two week (16 day) cleanse so it’s quick and easy and something that I can remember to do every day. It contains all the important liver health herbs.I thought I might need to mix it in with some juice or water, but it actually tastes really good alone! It tastes like juice. I wish it came with a measurement marker on the inside or outside of the cap so that I didn’t have to get out measuring spoons for the 2 tablespoon dose, but I actually measured it out inside the cap and 2 tablespoons comes to just under the top so that actually works out perfectly.I like that it has 3g of fiber per serving too. That’s a bonus.I’m not sure what “natural flavors“ on the label means… That could mean anything.Remember to shake before use and to keep it in the refrigerator.There’s not a whole lot of information about the company on the bottle. There’s an address for the distributor and that’s about it. I really like to see some contact info. Mostly because supplements are unregulated so you have to just trust the company that it contains what they claim. I did Google country Farms and found the website. They pride themselves in Whole Foods supplements that are non-GMO made in a GMP facility. I would love to see if their products are tested, but overall they talk a lot about high standards and quality control and they seem to have decent transparency and I feel like these products are probably legit.My biggest issue with this is the price. I know a liver cleanse doesn’t need to be something that’s taken daily for months at a time. It’s typically something you do for a month or so every once in a while. But $40 for a supplement that last 16 days just seems like a lot of money! Not enough to prevent me from recommending it. It just gives me pause.

I use supplements to help close the gap between modern nutrition levels in our food and the levels that were there when I was young. But, in my opinion, the supplement industry has both some of the highest integrity companies and some of the lowest. So I try to give a detailed enough review to help you know the company and product better, so you can determine for yourself whether or not you want to try this one out.If used as directed it will last 16 days. Rather than try to pour the liquid into a Tablespoon twice (2 Tbsp is one serving), my wife got these shot glass-size measuring cups that I use; they are a lot easier to pour into than a Tablespoon.The expiration date on mine is Apr 2029. Some detoxes I have are to be done for two weeks, but this does not indicate if you take it for two weeks, for example, or if it’s meant to be a daily supplement. If the latter, I like to get my supplements in one-month quantities.The liquid has a nice peach scent to it, and a surprisingly nice peach taste! I was really hesitant to try it the first time, but afterwards I wish a serving was one bottle.I like my supplements to say organic, non-GMO, GMP-certified, 3rd-party tested, and made in the USA. This says organic and non-GMO.I look into the supplement companies I use because I’ve come across so many questionable ones. Their phone number is on the website. Their countryfarms site is functional and informative. There is some good general information on the company’s processes and products, but I would like to see more details as well as results on any testing they might do.I seem to take longer than most to see results when starting a new supplement but look forward to taking this each day, and I like the ingredients (except for the preservatives).Thank you for reading, I hope it was helpful.
