Gentle But Lacks Third-Party Certification
I have been taking probiotics for many years now to ensure the health of my intestines. With occasional bloating and digestive problems, I decided to take this Akkermansia formula since it contains Berberine and other synergistic herbs and probiotics. I am happy with the performance of the product in the last few weeks and can give this product four stars.The capsules are easy to take and they didn’t cause any discomfort with no aftertaste. What’s more important is the fact that I experienced no discomfort such as cramping, pain, or bloating when taking the capsule. There were steadier digestive processes which indicate that the formula is working perfectly.However, I decided to refrain from giving this product a perfect score due to the lack of third-party certifications, such as the USP or NSF. The ingredients look great on the paper but the independent test would provide an additional confirmation regarding purity and efficiency of the formula.In summary, this is a very good probiotic supplement containing helpful herbs as well. Too Much Going On, and I’m Not Fully Confident in It
I bought this primarily because I was interested in the Akkermansia probiotic, but I’m not convinced this is the best way to get it,. The formula throws in berberine HCl, hesperidin, diosmin, skullcap, prebiotics, inulin, olive, artichoke, black cumin, cissus quadrangularis and more. I generally like combination supplements, but in this case there are so many ingredients competing for space in a couple of capsules that it makes me question whether the probiotic—the main reason I wanted it—is present in a meaningful amount or effective. I didn’t have any digestive issues when taking this.I also wasn’t impressed with the capsules themselves. There were noticeable inconsistencies that made the quality control feel questionable. Clean Nutra does have an established company website and says its products are third-party tested and manufactured in GMP-certified facilities, so this isn’t an untraceable brand. However, I couldn’t find the kind of easily accessible, product-specific testing documentation that would make me completely comfortable with some of the stronger marketing claims.The packaging is also extremely claim-heavy—”Complete GLP Activator,” appetite support, metabolism support, gut health support, etc.—and that actually makes me more skeptical rather than less. I’d rather see a simpler formula with clearly disclosed amounts and strong verification behind the probiotic itself.

Broken Capsules, Broken Confidence
This was the second supplement I received from this company that came in a bag, and by this point I was starting to see a pattern.Just like the first one, I opened the package and found broken capsules with loose powder scattered around inside. The capsules themselves were also extremely dry and brittle. Most capsules have at least a little flexibility. These feel like tiny pharmaceutical fortune cookies and crack with very little pressure.The smell and appearance were also noticeably different from other supplements I own with similar ingredients, which did absolutely nothing to improve my confidence.And then there is the packaging.Chips in a bag? Obviously.Beef jerky? Perfect.Dog treats? My two little freeloaders would probably protest anything else.But something I am supposed to swallow every day because it is supposedly good for me? I would much rather have a proper bottle protecting the capsules from getting crushed during shipping.As for actually taking them, I gave these about two weeks.Taste? No idea. I swallow capsules. I am not chewing the damn things like supplement-flavored Skittles.Appetite control? I honestly could not tell any difference.Energy? Same answer. Nothing noticeable enough that I could confidently attribute it to these.Overall effectiveness after two weeks? I could not tell that they were doing anything.Weight loss? No noticeable difference there either.Two weeks is obviously not long enough for me to make some grand declaration about what these ingredients can or cannot do, but it was long enough for me to realize I was not seeing anything that convinced me to overlook the packaging and quality concerns.I understand that a resealable pouch is probably cheaper and easier to ship, but when I have now opened two separate bags from the same company and found broken capsules inside both of them, that starts becoming a problem.I cannot claim the ingredients are fake because I did not have them lab tested. What I can say is that I stopped trusting the product enough to keep putting it in my body.This was bag number two.Unfortunately, there is also a bag number three.At this point, I am starting to think someone looked at supplement packaging and decided the potato-chip industry had already perfected it.Maybe everything inside is exactly what the label claims.I just no longer trust it enough to find out.

I particularly like that it’s made here in the USA. That is VERY important to me in regards to any supplement. This is intended to help with appetite and glucose control. I feel it’s a great blend that is mildly effective. It’s not a miracle pill by any means, but of course nothing really is. This just helps curb some cravings and spikes after meals. It does seem to help with that, but you still need to have self control and eat better and exercise. Good supplement overall!

More Supplement than Probiotic
These seem more like a supplement than a probiotic for me. I can’t say they were a GLP activator for me and they didn’t help with appetite support, both of which were listed on the front of the package. I did like that they had Berberine and Akkermansia, two things I was interested in trying. The capsules are also on the large side and a little difficult to swallow since they like to float. As a probiotic, it wasn’t as effective as my usual product. This wasn’t the home run I was hoping for.

Again, another supplement with no transparency. They claim to be “third party lab tested”. No specific testing lab is named, and no certificate of analysis (CoA) or test report link is provided on the product pageWhat’s not disclosed:• The identity of the third-party testing lab• Whether testing covers heavy metals (lead, mercury, cadmium, arsenic)• Whether pesticide residue testing was performed• A link to view actual test resultsReputable brands with genuine third-party testing should be able to provide this readily. Why keep bringing this up, when you don’t show us the COA or tell us who performed the testing?Ingredients on the bag sound great, but how do we know for sure what is in there and what might not be in there? I didn’t really see any difference taking this, and I have decided perhaps I would not take them since there is no transparency about the product. I’m trying to be more mindful about what I put into my body these days.
