Cellucor Super Brain™ Cognitive Booster
I largely rely on Rhodiola as my preferred cognitive booster of choice, however, you are supposed to cycle off of it for a week or two every few months. I ordered this Cellucor Super Brain™ Cognitive Booster, as it is a Rhodiola-free formula, to use on my off weeks. Cellucor is a brand that I’ve purchase supplements from in the past and liked, so I was interested to see how their attempt at a cognitive blend would work for me.I know that Citicoline and Ginseng can help with my severe brain fog somewhat, but they are most effective for me when used in support of Rhodiola; as in, I notice the combination helps me think more clearly and feel less like I’m constantly pushing against a door trying to slam shut, compared to taking any one part of that combination on its own. My hope was that there would be other ingredients in this blend that could also form an effective combination with Citicoline and Ginseng for me.The B Vitamins and Acetyl-L-Carnitine HCI are things that I believe are important, but not groundbreaking on their own.I’ve used PQQ and Huperzine before, and I’m afraid that while I acknowledge there is some intriguing research for both, I have yet to actually feel any particular benefit from either. However, the MitoPrime (L-ergothioneine) and BrainBerry (Aronia melanocarpa/black chokeberry) would both be new to me.End result: I do feel like I have slightly less brain fog while using this complex compared to nothing. I also think it’s better than some of the other Rhodiola-free blends that I’ve tried. It may actually be the best non-Rhodiola complex I’ve tried. That’s saying something, because the vast majority of nootropics and cognitive boosters do nothing for me, so the fact that I can tell there’s actually something going on with this one – take it as high praise.I’m definitely happy to have this because the last time I cycled off Rhodiola, I didn’t try to replace it with anything and the brain fog was INTENSE; I felt like I could hardly think. So there is absolutely a benefit to this complex for me, though I’m not sure which specific ingredient(s) are at play. But it’s definitely not life-changing the way that Rhodiola is for me, personally.With that said, nootropics are super variable per person. What works for one person may have zero impact for another. Didn’t do anything (good) for me.
Almost 2 weeks into trying this and not noticing anything, other than some digestive issues the first couple days. Some people were saying that this was good for people who want something other than caffeine in the morning. I drink coffee and also take ashwagandha so maybe I’m already using up all my focus bonuses. No increase in energy or strength. In fact, I feel that I’m tired and yawning more

Larger pills that have a slight odor and taste. The overall effects of this supplement is not significant. I may have a little more energy and focus, but not by much. It might work better on other people, but for me, I’m not feeling any results.

Capsules with many brain boosting ingredients
These capsules are easy to swallow, don’t have a sticky quality to the veggie capsule and have no weird tastes. These have the same type of ingredients as C4 for brain boosting and focusing abilities. I can’t say for sure what benefit these gave, although focus was a little easier to grasp

Decent Focus Boost, But Oversized Packaging
I’ve been taking Cellucor Super Brain for a short while, and while I don’t suddenly feel like Einstein, I do notice a slight improvement in my ability to focus. It’s not a dramatic change, but it does give a subtle boost that makes tasks feel a little easier to concentrate on. I’m also using it in hopes that it will help with memory retention as I prepare for an upcoming certification exam.That said, one of the first things I noticed is how unnecessarily large the bottle is for only 30 capsules. There’s a lot of wasted space inside, which feels like a marketing tactic rather than practicality. It gives the impression of more product than you’re actually getting, which was a bit disappointing considering the price point.Overall, I’d say this supplement is decent if you’re looking for a small edge in focus and productivity, but don’t expect life-changing results. The effect is mild, and the packaging feels misleading. If the formula proves effective over time, I could see myself continuing to use it, but I definitely wish the company would be more honest with the size of the container.

Good ingredients, didn’t do a ton for me though
I am a huge fan of a number of Cellucor products.All of the ingredients in this product, Super Brain Cognitive Booster, check out. However in practice I found it to be a bit underwhelming.In theory this should be a good stimulant for later in the day when it is too late for caffeine, it just didn’t do much for me. I think I am just too used to their caffeine based products. Others might get a bit more out of it than I did.

They work for me to help me with focus and attention
These Super Brain cognitive booster supplements from Cellucor have been effective for me. I am a heavy consumer of caffeine so these were a nice change of pace. One package comes with 30 capsules and a serving size is 2 capsules so this is roughly a 2 week supply.The capsules are average size and flavorless and pretty easy to swallow. I can feel the effects pretty quickly and my focus improves. In terms of energy, I feel pretty moderate and level like an enhanced calm.Overall, they feel like a good value and a cost effective replacement for a cup of coffee. The supplement feels good quality and it is from a reputable brand that I have tried other products from.
