Turmeric is Amazing 🙂
This is a great turmeric supplement. I am personally a big fan of turmeric, and have been for years. After all, turmeric has been well-researched and is widely praised for the plethora of amazing benefits it can provide the body. I personally am a fan due to its incredible anti-inflammatory benefits. I am someone who gets serious joint pain if I eat foods my body is intolerant to (especially wheat/gluten). Whenever I am in a flare, I just have some turmeric (usually in a pill-form) and notice my pain decrease immensely. In such instances, I also typically notice an increase in energy – if for no other reason than it simply being the byproduct of not being in so much darn pain that it hurt to even walk! Now, when it comes to turmeric supplements, having the black pepper extract in there is essential because it has a bioactive compound in it called piperine, which is known to improve nutrient absorption for things like curcumin (turmeric) that on its own wouldn’t otherwise get absorbed well by the body. So the fact that this supplement includes that important ingredient is crucial. As for the taste? Well, I can’t taste anything because I swallow the pill whole. 😂As for the size? Although it would be nice if the pills were a little smaller, they’re actually still pretty easy to swallow, so it’s not a “big” deal to me. (Besides, they certainly aren’t as big as some OtHeR “horse” pills I’ve had in the past!!)All in all, since you’re getting 60 soft gels and the directions say to take one per day, one bottle should last you a good two months if you were to take one every day. So the value is there. Just keep in mind that if you’re wanting to take more than 500mg/day, you’re going to need to take more than one pill (which will obviously cause you to run out faster).

Carlyle Turmeric Does What It Says — Joint Comfort Improved After Two Weeks
I started taking turmeric curcumin specifically for post-workout inflammation. I do a mix of cycling and weight training and the soreness that lingers in my knees and hips after heavier sessions has been something I have been managing for a while. After two weeks on the Carlyle 500mg curcumin softgels with black pepper extract, there is a noticeable difference. The black pepper extract matters here. Curcumin on its own has poor bioavailability, and the piperine from black pepper extract significantly improves absorption, which is why I specifically looked for a formula that included it. Carlyle’s 95% curcuminoid standardized extract with piperine is the right formulation for this to actually work rather than just pass through.Day-to-day joint comfort has improved. The stiffness I usually feel in my knees on the mornings after hard cycling days has been less pronounced. I am not pain-free but the improvement is real and consistent across multiple training weeks. The softgel format absorbs better than capsules or tablets in my experience and these have caused zero stomach issues, which can be an issue with turmeric for some people.60 softgels is a two-month supply at one per day, which is a reasonable amount of runway to assess results. The price per serving is excellent for a 95% curcuminoid standardized product with black pepper. I have tried more expensive brands in this category and Carlyle delivers the same quality at a much better value. Will be continuing with this.

Too Big for Comfort
Overall this seems like a decent quality turmeric supplement, being GMP certified, claiming to be made with ethically sourced ingredients, and being packaged and lab tested in the USA. This last part likely means it is made outside the US, otherwise it would say MADE in the USA, not just packaged. However, as turmeric is grown in primarily other parts of the world, this isn’t necessarily of concern. These capsules have no taste, no side effects, no flavored burps, all good things. Turmeric is good for inflammation, but if these actually make a difference, it’s hard to tell.I won’t be purchasing these again, however, as the size is too large. If you have trouble swallowing large pills, these are not for you. There is a picture of one in the palm of someone’s hand in the listing, yet they still seemed even larger in person. I’ve used turmeric in the past and they have usually been smaller, powder filled. These are large and possibly liquid filled being extracts?Anyway, if you want a good supplement, this isn’t a bad one, but if size of pill matters to you, don’t go with this one.

Great softgels that arrived in perfect condition.
I was scared to kind of order softgels again but glad i took a chance with these. It arrived in perfect condition and nothing clumped or melted or sticking together. Now i just hope that these help or do what they are supposed to do. I take these for overall health issues and to actually prevent or try to help prevent future ones. Thank you so much again.

Beneficial for reducing inflammation and body aches.
I am 79 and have the body aches that come with age. I read about studies that showed curcumin can be as effective at reducing inflamation as ibuprofen with a daily dose of 500 to 1500 MG. I wanted to try and it after a few days it was working! I am happy with the results and have been recommending it to friends. The capsules are large and are not easy to swallow, but they go down and it’s worth the effort.

Easier to Consume Via Capsules
I have been using turmeric powder as a natural supplement to aid a variety of issues for years now. I typically like to cook with lots of turmeric, but my family doesn’t enjoy it so much. That’s where the capsule form comes in handy – they are easy to swallow and a simple add to your daily vitamin routine. These seem to be made of good quality ingredients and they do help with pain relief. I suppose that’s due to the naturally occurring benefits of the turmeric. It’s a good amount for the cost so I would recommend.

Standardized (95%) turmeric & black pepper, non-GMO, 60-day softgel supply–Very satisfiedStandardized (95%) turmeric & black pepper, non-GMO, 60-day softgel supply–Very satisfied
I take turmeric most of the time as part of my daily supplements. I have come to prefer turmeric in a softgel as opposed to a capsule, so I appreciate this product for that. I also like that the serving suggestion from the directions indicates only 1 softgel per day. The softgels are a larger size (see pic) as far as capsules go, but I find them easy to swallow. The expiration date is clearly printed on the label assuring me this is not an old product (see pic–I wrote my order date below). The inner seal is a strong, quality seal (see pic), and when removed, I can sense the smell of what I suppose is turmeric inside the bottle. I will only buy ‘standardized’ versions of supplements whenever there are options offered, and I look for high percentages. This product’s turmeric is listed to be standardized to 95% curcuminoids and the black pepper extract is standardized to 95% piperine–exactly what I am looking for. What I didn’t find, however, which is unusual for any supplement product I have purchased that incorporates an extract(s), is the extract ratio–in this case, the turmeric in particular. I have a good idea of what the ratio is, but this information in my experience is usually provided in the ‘supplement facts’ on the bottle. I asked Rufus, but he did not have the info for this one, either. I find this to be a quality non-GMO supplement, and I have every confidence that I am getting a daily supply in the one softgel/day that meets my needs, even if this were only a 5:1 ratio extract. Per the directions this product offers a standardized 60-day supply, and in my preferred softgel form, at a very reasonable price, making it a great value to me.
