Small Gummy Calcium Supplement With Immune System Enhancing Properties
I ordered this calcium citrate supplement primarily to mitigate possible bone loss from a decade plus of taking a daily proton pump inhibitor (PPI). I learned PPIs can reduce calcium absorption as PPIs increase gastric pH. This supplement should increase available calcium as calcium citrate is not dependent upon stomach acid for absorption.The supplement comes in gummy form and is easy to take. The gummy size is relatively small compared to other supplements I’ve taken. The daily dosage is two gummies which leaves me to wonder why the manufacturer didn’t just combine the two into one. Combined, it would still be smaller than many other gummy style supplements I’ve taken. That aside, the strawberry flavor is pleasant with no aftertaste or negative gastrointestinal effects to date after nearly a week of taking them. I also like that these gummies also include magnesium, zinc, and vitamins D3 and K-2 which are great for building up the body’s immunity prior to this upcoming flu season. This two- bottle set is also a value in my mind as it is a 60-day supply currently on AMAZON for about $32, or a little more than 50-cents a day. Not bad for both a calcium supplement and an immunity enhancer. Finally, the GMP certification provides me with some peace of mind that its manufacturing process has been successfully reviewed.Overall, I like this calcium supplement for its quality, palatability, and the added immunity it provides. While I’m not at the age yet that I need to worry about osteoporosis, I feel better that I’m taking positive steps to help prevent the onset when I am. It doesn’t hurt either that I’m better prepared for the oncoming cold and flu season. I’m glad I ordered and would do so again.
