Bottled in plastic
This is the first liquid extract I’ve seen stored in a plastic bottle. That doesn’t feel ideal to me, but I’m sure it keeps costs down for the manufacturer. The bottle was sealed in plastic and comes with a dropper you can swap out with the cap it arrives with. I have tried several droppers full of liquid as it suggests and may have noticed some relaxation, but I don’t think it was as strong as the chamomile tea I regularly drink. The strength of the dried tea is unknown and it’s not fair to truly compare them, but it is my frame of reference. I regularly take apigenin which is the component of chamomile that makes one sleepy or relaxed, and I would have liked to know how much of that was in this product. It is made with vegetable gylcerine which gives it a sweet taste, making it easy to take sublingually or add to a drink or food. I will take the entire bottle and update this review if necessary.

needs a better dropper
Buried Treasure is owned by lifeline foods in Missouri since 1969. This bottle has an expiration date of 01/2026 and has a minty flavor. The bottle is double sealed and the inner seal was a bit tough to remove. for the other buried treasure supplements I’ve tried, but this one was easy to take off. The chamomile flavor has a pleasant taste… and I don’t mind it at all. The dropper seems to have issues getting to exactly 1ml and probably needs a better bulb of the dropper or a different dropper: I get to about 3/4 of 1ml. I couldn’t find any GMP or certificate of analysis on their website. I took a star off for not providing and 3rd party data or GMP certification, but seeing they’ve been in business for decades…I felt safe taking this supplement.

This chamomile extract is fantastic. It’s a 2oz dropper bottle and it contains a 30 day supply (if taking it everyday). I have purchased several different products from this company and they have all been great quality, no issues or concerns. This is an alcohol-free tincture made with just 3 ingredients: chamomile, purified water and glycerin. It tastes just like sweet chamomile tea because of the glycerin. Each dose contains 140mg of the active ingredient. The dose is 2mL and there are graduations on the dropper for easy measuring, or you can just fill the dropper up twice, as one dropper is about 1mL. I like to keep chamomile around for upset stomachs and also for its relaxing properties. Sometimes I take it when I feel nervous or stressed and I find that it helps me relax. This works very well for both purposes. I should also mention that this product can be added to hot water to make chamomile tea, I haven’t tried it that way yet but I am looking forward to it because chamomile tea is a personal favorite. This is a great product!

The product arrived double-sealed for protection. It includes a dropper to replace the lid on the product. You can add the recommended serving (2 ml) to hot water to make a tea, or add half of that amount to mix with another tea that you are steeping in a pot, such as jasmine, green tea, etc. That’s how I like to use it. The dropper has measurements to allow you to choose the perfect amount for you. I love the flavor of this tincture! The price is very reasonable, considering the quality.
