Bought this for my husband, and have no complaints. The powder arrived well packaged and clearly labeled The powder is very….powdery. 🙂 Seriously though, it is an extremely fine textured powder. I usually transfer from the package it comes in to an airtight canister instead, since the powder does actually make it very difficult to reseal the pouch. The taste is earthy with a somewhat bitter effect, but it is not bad.I did read someone’s review where they commented that it might be cheaper to buy the capsules, so while we have this, I will do my research as well. I actually put this into capsules, because it is rather difficult to get my husband to remember to take the powder form.

BulkSupplements has been a great company. I’m not certain about the RYRE supplement yet.
BulkSupplements the company has been great to order from. For them I would give a 5 star rating.For the RYRE supplement I’m not certain yet and would give that a 3 star rating. Hence, the 4 star rating in between.The packaging is adequate for the supplement and the powder is easy to get to for measuring out a serving. I like the table included on the packaging which provides direction for approximate conversion from tsp to mg. I’ll give this product 5 stars if my cholesterol related levels (total cholesterol, LDL) are at least 10% lower in 6 months when I see my doctor again (yes, I’m keeping my doctor informed of my choice). Note: My cholesterol has been consistently borderline high for at least 4 – 5 years and I have a fairly healthy lifestyle (good food choices most of the time 😉 and daily exercise). I’m taking 600mg of the Red Yeast Rice Extract with 200mg Bulk Supplements brand Coenzyme Q10 every evening in a protein shake before bed. There is no indication of the monacolin K levels in this RYRE, so we’ll see if the Cholesterol levels move at all. Regardless of some warnings about RYRE supplements I want to try this (from my research – you should not take any of this review as advice from me. Do your own research, do what works best for you). In the end maybe I’ll focus more on Sterols and/or Stanols rather than a Statin.

My doctor recommended this to lower cholesterol levels
My dad told me to avoid cholesterol lowering drugs and so I kept refusing my doctor’s suggestions. Exasperated, he suggested red yeast rice. I used to take red yeast rice pills but this form is so much easier for me. I’ve had great success lowering my cholesterol and I highly recommend this product for ease of use and its superior quality.

I have always recovered good products from BulkSupllements.I have regular shipments of Tumeric, Ginger root, and now Red Yeast Rice Extract.This product saves me money from buying the tablets . i am getting what i need and the cost is less. Yippy..I have all the Amino’s that i need from BulkSUpplements and some items like cinnamon, that i add to my coffee. The products arrive before they are promised.I had one mess-up in 4 years and they took care of it quickly. Thank you.The only thing i do not like is that the amounts to take ( doses) fade off the package after a while and is hard to see. I have been writing on the package with a big marker now so that i do not take the wrong dose.Please – If you are listening BulkSupplements, Make your packaging labels larger in the dose area . Big letters and keep the weights consistent – 1/32 teaspoon some times then 15mg other times…BUT thank you so much for your good products – I am a true believer in your products.
