It tastes pretty good (not excessively salty

I have used Bulk Supplements Sodium Ascorbate Powder for a few weeks now and the experience is quite positive. It tastes pretty good (not excessively salty, I can hardly taste it), dissolves very well, the flavor blends well with lemonade, and it works for the purpose I purchased it for, namely suppressing the cough from a terrible cold that I’ve had for about 5 weeks. (How’s that for a run-on sentence.) I’m actually getting better and I did not come down with the pneumonia that everyone seems to have around here, even though I sit next to a coworker who had it. It cuts a cough as well as Nutribiotic Sodium Ascorbate, dissolves and tastes better than Source Natural, and is slightly less salty than Now Foods Sodium Ascorbate. My dosage was 4 grams in the morning and evening until I got better, then I cut it down to 4 grams (1 teaspoon) per day.My only concern was whether the product was non-GMO. When I asked the question, the company responded that their latest supply was non-GMO, but the packaging on the product I received did not indicate that it was. Either the packaging has not caught up with the product or the product I received is from an earlier batch. Expiration date is Nov 2017.

Great product — great Customer Service…

Great product — Great company and customer ServiceThis is absolutely a pure form of Sodium Ascorbate. It is such a fine powder that almost melts into any liquid you put it in or food. There is just a very faint taste of salt, almost non existing. I take mine in a glass of water but I also supplement our kitty food with Vitamin C. I have a Cat Rescue and only take in the ones that are severely ill. Nutrition is key on their road to recovery so while researching supplementation for cats many years ago, I came across a study, the Vitamin C Protocol by Dr. Wendell Belfield that highly recommends Vitamin C (Sodium Ascorbate) for cats. We all know, that cats are finicky and if this Vitamin C powder would have a strong taste or odor, they wouldn’t even bother to eat their meals. They eat their food with no hesitation which just proves, how mild this Vitamin C powder is. BulkSupplements also provide great Customer Service. I contacted the company with a question via their website and received a satisfying response in no time. Great product, great experience – period!

    following Linus Pauling’s advice

One of the things my Dr. suggested was that I take vitamin c to just under “bowel tolerance” indefinately and see how I feel. I have mood disorder symptoms, chronic fatigue, and all 6 of my endocrine system organs are not doing their jobs very well. Using this powder to take high amounts of C is surprisingly easy and I’ve come to enjoy it. I mix 3/4 grams of this powder in about 6 oz of water, then add about 1/4 teaspoon of plain baking soda. When it stops fizzing, I drink it down. It’s like sprite without all the sugar. If it’s still too tart, add more baking soda. (This was also Linus Pauling’s method.) Take this on an empty stomach. If you are dieting or trying to fast, this is a huge help. I notice when I take c this way, I don’t even get hungry or have any low blood sugar symptoms.

    Stabilized C great for creams

I make creams, I started with a green tea cream to remove cellulite. I have a bad leg and had broken my leg and then 5-6 weeks later slipped on my crutches and broke 2 bones in my foot. I was on crutches FOREVER and not walking or doing much for even longer and my legs thighs were awful. I had not worn shorts in YEARS. I read some reviews for cellulite creams etc on Amazon and they seemed to work. Common ingredient seemed to be caffeine. I have a tea plant growing crazy so pruned and made a very strong tea into cream, dumped in vitamin C I had on hand and WOW. Not only did my cellulite go completely away (must use everyday to keep gone) but my creapy skin, is no longer creapy. I started using head to toe. This form of vitamin C lasts longer so I do not have to make new cream every week. My old grandma skin looks terrific!

Great stuff! Use it ! Be well ! ! !

This is good for heart issues. Try it with hawthorn, sodium ascorbate, lysine. Great product. Good company. I buy from them whenever I can. Good value too.Update ! I have used this product for over a year now. I make a drink with sodium ascorbate, l lysine, taurine and citric acid. It tastes like a soft drink without the flavor. My husband puts a sugar free flavoring in it. We drink it daily for our heart. I’m over 70 and started having rapid heart palpitations enough to go the ER. Almost died. Surgery for valve replacement is out of the question for me. My dear husband has often had chest pain. Folks this pain and rapid heart beat goes away after a couple of days of taking this drink. Linus Pauling recommended this years ago. Do your research ! ! !The ER gives one having a heart attack magnesium, calcium, and bicarbonate soda,. We take this daily. It keeps the heart calm. We take this at night for a good night’s rest. You can even make gummies for children or grandma who don’t sleep well. Also make your body as alkaline as possible. Research, research, research ! ! !I only buy from bulk supplements. The products are as pure as you can get. I usually transfer products into sealable container like Mason jars. Please do your research ! ! ! Be responsible for your own health. Your Surgeon is a Surgeon. His job is to cut. Not to heal. You can heal yourself from most anything. Family and well meaning friends may not like you taking responsibility for your health. Have courage ! ! ! Be strong ! ! ! Be well ! ! ! Be positive ! ! !I am not a doctor. Just one who loves people.

    Good product! Happy with it.

I’ve been very happy with this sodium ascorbate. It seems to help clear congestion. It’s easy to take and it’s cheap at least compared to other options. I’m almost out and am coming back to order more. It’s salty so if you use a lot in a small amount of water it’s kinda nasty. If I get too much I throw it down in a hurry, otherwise, well it’s not really enjoyable, but it is definitely not awful either. My children will take it without fighting me, especially in a flavored beverage. I sometimes don’t measure and that’s when you pay for it with the taste if if it comes out too fast.

    2nd most important antioxidant

Ascorbate is a very effective water soluble antioxidant and as a vitamin is involved as a co-factor in 8 synthesis processes, including the folding of collagen. DIABETICS need it the most. I have an extensive research paper on it at healthfully.org/rc. One should take it in small portions throughout the day; in one dose it is poorly absorbed. I mix it in a pitcher of green tea, and get over 2 grams a day.The price is very good, and it doesn’t matter if it is sodium or calcium ascorbate. What we have been taught about about calcium supplement, about sodium, and about antioxidants as useless, this is more carpolla by an industry that profits from illness.

Great deal on quality Sodium Ascorbate!

Awesome source of Vitamin C. I enjoy the very fine texture and the taste is kinda like a mild baking soda (which the sodium component i believe). This taste allows me to take higher doses at once in water vs other brands that have a citrus flavor because it becomes too tart. Also sodium ascorbate is more easily digestible for me vs just ascorbate when taking high doses. This is the best bulk deal I could find without compromising quality. Only downside is the resealable bag… I have been extremely careful with opening and closing it while only spooning the powder out vs pouring out (would leave powder in the sealing track) and by about the 30th use the seal ripped and can no longer be properly sealed. I now roll it up tight, secure with rubber band, and store in a ziplock bag, but it is a bummer as the quality will diminish faster now. Side note: do some research on high dose vitamin C for a myriad of health issues and prevention!
