I’ve been taking both creatine and collagen for several years now, and I’m half-amused by the rising trend of “creatine for women,” like this one. So when it showed up in my recommended products, I checked the basics: 5 g creatine and 2.5 g Verisol. That was worth a try.Well, the product is a fine powder that dissolves easily in fluids, including my favorites: hot chocolate with protein powder or a milky espresso-based drink with no specific name. It comes in a pink-black tub (two of them in this case), with some bold claims, and at $25 per 30 servings (price taken from the single tub offering on Amazon) is fairly competitive to similar offerings.What it offers in return:- 5 g of creatine monohydrate, which is the standard maintenance dose. I’m not fully convinced this part differs from your boyfriend’s creatine. A word of caution if you’re new: standard protocols usually recommend a loading phase (20 g/day for a week) to saturate muscle stores, followed by 5 g/day. Otherwise, you’ll wait 3–4 weeks to feel the effects. That’s not an issue for those of us already taking creatine, but if you’re just starting out, you might consider borrowing his tub for a week.- 2.5g collagen, and not just any collagen – Verisol. I have to confess this was why I decided to jump on this product. Verisol is a special type of collagen with a special peptide profile that may render it effective in signaling collagen production – something that could render your skin more perceptive to what collagen magic might be. And they do have the clinical studies to back it up (even though not as strongly as marketing would have us believe). Will it fight cellulite? Well.. I’ll only comment here with the title of the peer-reviewed study to make that claim: “Dietary Supplementation with Specific Collagen Peptides Has a Body Mass Index-Dependent Beneficial Effect on Cellulite Morphology” (Schunck et al., Journal of Medicinal Food, 2015) The study used the same 2.5 g dose, but results were modest. Let’s just say I should probably still lose the weight (or thank genetics for relatively smooth thighs).- The powder also offers 1g of L-Glutamine and BCAAs – not bad, but really low dose.I’d call this powder overall a good creatine option, but very expensive if it were just for the creatine. The Verisol can make a case for the price. Now, as for the claims of “booty gains like never before” – not without hitting the gym (unfortunately more often than “once a week”), and a good amount of protein…

Good creatine + collagen; hit the weights for glutes

While no ingestible molecule will give you muscular glutes selectively over other body parts, this is a good creatine powder, enhanced by Verisol, a patented collagen peptide that is shown to stimulate collagen production in the skin, hair, nails. It mixes easily in cold or warm liquids. I usually use a milk frother to quickly blend, but a spoon does just as well with this, the powder is quite fine.I believe this is as effective as any other quality creatine powder, and the Verisol is what makes the price and value increase. I appreciate the addition of Verisol, as I’m middle aged and take collagen for various things. This is a brand well known for greater bioavailability and effectiveness, so it’s useful in my supplement lineup, and having it already mixed in my creatine is great. The research-recommended dose of Verisol studied for collagen formation is 2.5g, exactly what’s included in this product. Thumbs up.There’s no creatine or any other thing that will effect booty growth other than weight-bearing exercises targeted to the glute muscles. Can creatine help this process? Yes. Will this creatine work specifically on your glutes? No. But it will support your muscle strength and, thereafter, size … but all over your body, not just in one area. The bold buns concept is just marketing, but that’s fine, you can get the buns if you take this supplement AND hit those glutes hard 2-3x per week.As for taste, this is not as tasteless as standard creatine; it has a bit of a bitter flavor, like essential amino acids, if you’ve tried those, but not nearly as strong. This is likely the Verisol (or maybe BCAAs?). I don’t love the taste but sometimes you take things that are less pleasant because of their value, so I’ll put it in my iced coffee or electrolyte drink, if I can. But it’s not so strong that I can’t take it in water alone. I just know it’s going to be more perceptible than creatine alone. Well worth the minor taste difference. Overall this is a good product, maybe with marketing that’s a little over the top.

This powder is a great combination of creatine and collagen, two supplements I take daily. It is better that they are combined in one powder. It is unflavored and dissolves well in water or smoothies. I am happy with the quality and I have not experienced any negative effects.

This creatine powder has many bold claims as the trend of creatine and collagen supplements have recently increased. I will start by saying that when compared to other similar supplements, this product has roughly the average recommended for daily use. However, this product alone will not result in significant gains in the glutes or thighs without a regular workout routine and increased protein intake (per your body weight and goals recommendations). It is super important to drink plenty of water while on any supplements. This will not decrease the effectiveness, but it will greatly support your kidneys reducing potential injury as supplements are broken down and utilized.This combination supplement is very simple to use. The powder dissolves very well when mixed with liquid, although I feel like I can sometimes taste it when mixed with just water. For those new to supplements, I would definitely research peer-reviewed studies and consult a medical professional prior to ingesting as many things may interact with medications or medical histories. Now, I have not taken creatine for a while, so after a loading dose amount followed by the 5mg daily dose, this supplement does help support energy levels and muscle repairs during and after workouts. I will say, again, that this product alone will not give you amazing muscle tone or remove cellulite- that is where the proper diet and exercises come into play. This is a supplement not a replacement!Overall, when comparing this product to alternatives, this is a fairly good supplement. The current price is pretty close to average for alternative brands. Really it comes down to the addition of collagen which helps with muscle repair and skin elasticity. The dose amount is very good for a product like this and ultimately makes this price very good in comparison with alternatives.
