Not really a DIGESTIVE product. More of a product to help you fully empty your bowels.
I associate a digestive product with things that help you digest food and have probiotics or digestive enzymes in them. Same for “gut health”. This has none of that. It has some omega oils in it, but the bulk of its ingredients are all forms of fiber which help you have better, fuller, and more frequent bowel movements. I don’t associate that with better digestion; it’s more a thing of better evacuation. That being said, the forms of the fiber used are all body friendly and aren’t harmful. I don’t really have any issues producing good movements. I was looking for something that would assist with better digestion of foods and better assimilation. However, this does work for better bm’s, so we will keep it on hand for when that assistance is needed. For long term storage we are keeping it vacuum sealed and in the freezer. I’m not sure how long it would last once opened and at room temperature in a house with no a/c and very hot summers. I don’t want it to spoil or the oil to go rancid.

Seems to be as advertised, though doesn’t have a pleasant taste or texture
This product comes in a container twice as big as needed for the contents. It is a very fine powder that is a tannish color. It comes with a plastic scoop and you are supposed to combine one level scoop with the beverage of your choice (though there’s no guidance on an exact scoop to liquid ratio, besides “The product should be eaten with at least a full glass of liquid.”In order to get a true idea of what the product tasted like, I combined 1/2 scoop with 4 oz. of water. The taste was not pleasant, so it definitely needs to be mixed with something that can obscure that. What you can’t obscure is the texture–which is sort of slimy. Once the powder is mixed with a liquid, you have to drink it quickly, because it continues to thicken as it sits and eventually turns into a gel. I guess if you really want to obtain your fiber via some shake you’re drinking vs. through food this fits the bill, but don’t think it’s for me.

Mixes well with specific things; No strong flavor; Decent price
-I was pretty happy with this fiber supplement. It’s from a well known brand which is nice and the ingredients are all good. It also came with a safety seal.- I went ahead and tried mixing this into a variety of things like plain water, flavored milk, fruit juice and a smoothie. I found this pretty easy to mix into any liquid although it settles on the bottom quickly in thin liquids like water. It definitely tasted the best and the texture was least noticeable in a smoothie so that would be my recommendation, but you can also just chug it in another liquid and it’s not so bad.- Taste wise, it doesn’t taste like much. I used to be a vegan and if I could compare this to anything it kind of just tastes like ground flax to me. So in something like water, there was no strong flavor, just a slight nuttiness. The texture is a bit hard to get past in something like plain water but I was still able to drink it that way.- I’ve also felt that this has been working well and has aided my digestion so that’s nice.- I think that price wise, this is actually fair. The ingredients are good and if you break down how many scoops/servings you’re getting I don’t think the price is outrageous.

Well known Brand with a High Quality FLAX (prebiotic) Blend with No Fillers
My favorite thing about Shakeology’s new BOOST digestive Health product is that it’s got Flax (in addition to Pea Fiber, Psylium, Chicory and Chia powders). All those fibers are said to help modulate gut transit time (not too slow or too fast) and are also said to act as Prebiotics that support a healthy gut biome. This powder thickens a drink, adds minimal taste, can be chalky if not enough liquid is added. What follows is primarily a safety/quality review.Transparency: The Shakeology brand has trademark activity dating to 2010, and the CEO (indeed, the whole executive team are easy to find at TheBeachbodyCompany dot com. At their website they claim to follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) regulations, including 3rd party testing (also required by Amazon). It’s difficult to get copies of GMP testing, so I rarely try anymore (but you can always ask them!).Accountability: This product is well known and has been reviewed by multiple health and diet related websites that are easy to Google and which I’d probably recommend doing before investing in this product (also see transparency).Quality: This is a 20 serving container of a brown powder that when smelled unmixed has a bit of a sharp “flax” scent. The instructions say to gently shake the powder to loosen it before use. I added a scoopful to 8 oz water (as most Shakeology drinks are said to be 8-12 oz). It sat on top of the water, but mixed fairly easily with an immersion blender. The appearance is drab and the scent milder when mixed. It was too thick for my taste, so I added water (per the instructions) and then added a little baobab drink powder and some Crystal L_te. The additions covered the mild taste completely. At todays price this is $2.15 per serving, this seems a bit expensive until you consider the ingredients, which don’t include a single “filler” ingredient.I do wish that instructions for how much liquid to add could be found on the container easily (I couldn’t find any). I also would like to see instructions for how to comfortably add this fiber to one’s diet without experiencing uncomfortable things like gas (I’ve read that fiber supplements can do this if added too quickly to a diet). Otherwise I’m happy with this product. I’ll probably store it in the freezer to protect the flax oils from degrading.

Great Fiber Supplement!
This review is for BODi Digestive Health Boost Fiber Supplement – Supports Gut Health & Regularity – Chicory Root, Pea Fiber, Psyllium Husk – Heart Health Benefits with Chia & Flaxseed, 7g Fiber per Serving, 20 Servings. I got this because it’s a BeachBody supplement (and I’m a big fan of the P90X DVD). I’ve been doing intermittent fasting for quite some time now and I stop eating after 2PM. This fiber supplement keeps me feeling full until I eat again the next day. It also keeps me regular. There’s not much taste to it. I put one scoop into my drink (anything is fine) and stir until it dissolves, which is around a minute or two, and drink. It doesn’t change the taste of the beverage that much but it does change the consistency to something thicker. I got used to it like any other supplements, even the chalky tasting ones. I just tell myself I’m taking it for the benefit not to savor the taste. It’s not fine dining and it’s just a few seconds to swallow. I think it would be interesting to try this with their Shakeology chocolate whey protein powder. Anyway, this canister only has 20 servings (1 scoop per serving). It would make much more sense to me for it to have 30 servings. Overall, I like this fiber supplement and I find that it goes down easily without affecting the flavor of the beverage too much. I’ve not experienced any negative side effects from it. It helps me to stay regular and full throughout my IF period. I’d give it a 4.5/5.0 – 01/16/2025.
