The fact that it’s “Fermented Black Garlic Extract” is interesting … I do like and use a lot of regular garlic so I will be giving these a try (and not necessarily because of the health claims – which I generally tend to not believe). The fine print says it’s “FREE OF: Soy, Dairy & Gluten”. Odorless is good also. Be sure to read the warning label on the back.The thing that’s unclear is the SAC standardization. They mention SAC, but I can’t tell how many milligrams of SAC I’m actually getting, so I can’t really evaluate the potency of this product’s SAC content.The front says: 6000 mg while the back supplement section says 600 mg but in brackets below that it says: (Allium sativum) (bulb) (a 10:1 extract equivalent to 6,000 mg of Black Garlic) … just one or the other would be less confusing! In short, they mean the same thing.Keep in mind … Distributed by: Fullmart … with addresses for EC|REP (FRANCE) + UK|REP (BELFAST) is a positive sign, but that’s not proof of product quality or country of manufacture.Mine has an expiration date of July 2029 so these have good shelf life in the resealable pouch.DISCLAIMER: I got this product for free via Amazon’s Vine Voice program. These black garlic extract softgels come in a resealable pouch. It’s a little less convenient since my other supplements are in bottles but I suppose it’s less plastic waste for the environment. The expiration date is about 3 years from when I received the product, so there’s plenty of time to use it even if not taking daily. I like that these were manufactured in a GMP-complient facility and that it was tested by a third party — though the information about the testing results weren’t listed. I couldn’t find the country of origin on the product page or on the printed pouch; however, the amazon label says it’s made in China (see attached photo–I removed the barcode from the photo). I didn’t notice any odor when opening the package and there wasn’t any taste from the black softgel, which is about 13mm long and a little under 9mm in diameter. It’s generally easy to swallow, though I occasionally have trouble with softgels in general (they get stuck in my throat) compared to capsules. I haven’t noticed any side effects. Value for money: at about $0.12 each it seems good value though there are other comparable items available for less.

I picked these up out of curiosity, cause I really love black garlic.Pros: if you don’t like the taste or smell of garlic, the softgels do an excellent job blocking that completely. They’re smaller than gelcaps, so easier to swallow. Because it’s a concentrate, you get more of whatever is supposedly beneficial.Cons: there are no large scale double blind studies. Sure, I haven’t had a heart attack since I started taking them, but I also haven’t been attacked by any sharks since I switched my phone from Moto to Samsung. Black garlic taste so good, I’d rather eat it and at least I’ve had a good meal even if there aren’t any actual health benefits. Also, black garlic being fermented is a popular misconception: it’s slow cooked over an extended stretch of time, but not fermented. This calling it fermented makes me even more skeptical of any claims. They also have beeswax in the softgels, which is unusual, so be aware of that if you’re allergic. Or vegan or something.My conclusion: just get actual black garlic and make the best tasting garlic bread you’ve had in your life

This Fermented Black Garlic Extract supplement comes in a resealable foil pack that makes storage easy. In my opinion, it also protects the softgels from light and air exposure. The lot number, manufacture date and expiration date are clearly stamped on the back of the pouch in an easliy readable font size and color. Yay! The description indicates that the capsules are odorless which is important to me since a lot of garlic supplements literally stink. I was very pleased that these capsules really do not have any discernable odor. The capsules themselves are fairly small ,so I found them easy to swallow. I had no stomach upset issues after taking them.
