Decent Supplement With A Couple Of Caveats
In the nutrition industry, Bluebonnet is considered a quality brand, and this is a decent supplement with a couple of issues. In addition to the probiotic Saccharomyces Boulardii, this also contain Guar Gum as a prebiotic. However, Guar Gum is known to cause digestive issues for some, and I’m surprised they didn’t use a safer prebiotic alternative like pectin, Chicory, oat fiber, etc.Additionally, this also contains the flow agent magnesium stearate, which is also known to cause digestive issues… especially if you take multiple supplements that contain it. Many companies have stopped putting magnesium stearate in their products.That said, the capsules are small and easy to swallow with no odor or taste. This is shelf stable and doesn’t require refrigeration.The label states this is manufactured by Bluebonnet but doesn’t indicate if they make it in the USA where they are headquartered, or in another nation. There is also nothing about it being made in a GMP certified facility or an FDA inspected facility… nor is there anything about third party testing.For a bottle of only sixty capsules, this is much more expensive than my regular brand of Saccharomyces Boulardii.

Sadly not much seems to help, and it was suggested that I add a probiotic to my daily routine. While it’s too early to see results (most supplements take several weeks to even months to see results) so far I’m happy with this one. The ingredients seem pretty solid, although guar gum and magnesium stearate do have a tendency to irritate the gut sometimes, so I’m a little worried about those considering my gut is so sensitive. So far I haven’t had any issues though! The brand is well known and highly recommended among supplement brands and that gives me confidence. I like that the capsules are small and easy to swallow. These are also shelf stable and don’t require refrigeration, which is great because if they are in the fridge they are out of sight out of mind and I would forget to take them. This bottle gives you a 30 day supply if you take them as directed. The price is a little more than some others, however they are also cheaper than some, so I feel like they are still a decent deal. Overall I’m happy with these and I’m looking forward to see how they improve my gut health.

BlueBonnet is a trusted supplement brand that has been around since the early 90s. Ingesting a targeted single strain of S. Boulardii, rather than a blend of different probiotic strains, is an interesting approach with potential benefits specifically centered around treating gut ailments one might be more likely to acquire in a healthcare setting. I do feel that taking this product has helped firm up my BMs in general 🙂 It is convenient that these capsules are shelf-stable and do not require refrigeration, and I love that they come in veggie caps in a glass bottle.

Helps after antibiotic usage
I found this product a few months ago after taking antibiotics. I was looking for something to rebuild my good bacteria and help with the side effects of antibiotics, I can say this does it very well. I take it every day and have noticed a lot less bathroom issues. There are no side effects that I have noticed. I personally think that it is worth the money especially if you are an individual that has gut issues.
