We are entering the season of sneezes, wheezes, fevers, coughs, sore throats and congestion–be it due to colds, flu or other asundry viruses. Our immune system, which helps to fight off such imbalances, is constantly under attack. Taking immune boosters such as Biotta elderberry juice can help to minimize symptoms. Elderberry comes from trees that grow in various parts of the world–the most effective being from Europe and more specifically Germany and Sweden. Elderberry can be taken in small doses as a proactive measure or if one starts exhibiting symptoms, elderberry can be taken in higher doses. It is one of my top ten immune boosters, has a pleasant taste, children can take it as well. The only concern is that Biotta elderberry contains sugar. That would not be a concern for most people as it is a sugar derived from fruit, but diabetics should be cautious as sugar is added to this particular product.

Best remedy for Norovirus!
Seriously! A few weeks ago our whole family went through the Norovirus cycle. I personally felt like a track drove over me. I survived for a couple of days only on the water. The next turn was my older daughter. She had puked for 6 times during the night until I found “the remedy” of this juice to stop the vomiting. Just one shot of this juice put her to sleep for the rest of the night! With my second daughter I quickly begun using this juice immediately and her stomach felt and acted much better! So, from now on I intend to always keep a bottle on hand in the fridge during the winter months to ward off the pukies from my home!

This was my first time trying elderberry juice. I wouldn’t call it tart, but it’s not sweet. It tastes like unsweetened blackberries. Didn’t like it much, although it comes in a nice bottle.

It tastes pretty good, just remember it is elderberry and chugging too much acts like a powerful diuretic. A couple of swigs is enough for hours!! Still I go through it pretty fast here……..for health and wiccany reasons
